Unreasonable requests for returning…
Unreasonable requests for returning products and unresponsive to obtaining our refund. Firstly forcing us to pay express to return in their timeframes, ignoring over 10 attempts to obtain our refund and no other option than to pursue formal litigation to get our money back. If you don't have time to chase up a refund if the items aren't to your standard I would avoid at all costs. Unprofessional and dodgy.
Dodgy online store
I had an awful experience with this supplier. They sent me incorrect lights that didn’t fit. Despite me buying the correct ones again from them, they failed to provide the proof I requested that the original ones would ever fit my equipment. Then, instead of doing right by me, they refunded me about $500 less than what I paid. It’s unacceptable that after all this, I have to pursue formal complaints. If you value your time and money, I’d think twice before trusting them. They have zero integrity and business ethics. The guy on the phone is so rude and thinks he knows everything.

SCAM ALERT
SCAM ALERT: Onlinelighting claimed to have stock for an item that was out of stock Australia-wide (out of stock from main supplier). They assured us over the phone that they have them in stock, we paid for it, only to find out they do not have the stock and did not plan to dispatch us the stock anyway. After multiple phone calls and emails, they have agreed to a refund, it has been 2 months since we paid for it, and 7 weeks since we have received an order cancellation confirmation email. The last phone call with the alleged owner Ara said the case has been handed over to the finance team and is out of his hands, there is nothing he can do about the refund, there is no contact details for the alleged finance department and no way of reaching the finance department. We are a B2B customer and have our own customer waiting on the stock that was supposed to be supplied by Onlinelighting. My last email to request for an update on the refund was again ignored.

Ordered Gymea linen Pendant light and fitting from the Fat Shack located at Age Street, Cheltenham, Vic for $179 ( online purchase). It is of very poor quality, and the same product can be purchased at Bunnings for $30. Don’t be fooled by the positive reviews, this product is cheap, and l suspect many of the others are too.

Bought Amelia 60XL ceiling light 2.5…
Bought Amelia 60XL ceiling light 2.5 years ago. Service then was terrific from Online with regards to the delay in shipment at that time. It was due to floods at that time. The light was not lighting up properly so email online and they forward to the distributor Telbix. They sent an email to lodge a claim and to attach a photo/video which I did. After a couple of days they advised they are replacing the item. Took quite a few days but all done without hassles. I highly recommend both online and Telbix.
False, Price Beat Guarentee
The "Price beat guarantee" they advertise is false. Rang asked them to price match Sparky Direct and they said they could not. When I asked why they said it was up to their discretion. I met their criteria for a price beat. No worries, ordered thru Sparky Direct.
As others have said, don't use
As others have said, really really bad with customers. Don't believe them, fight with them and charge a whopping 30% restockng fee for unopened items!?
Great product and service.
Ordered 3 lamp shades. Originally tried to get them from a store I normally go through but the ones I wanted were far too expensive. Found online lighting and the perfect shades for my 3 bedrooms. They were on sale, but even the normal price was really good so wasn't expecting too much.
I was very pleasantly surprised. The box was well marked 'fragile lamp shades'. They were all packed really well and they turned out to be much sturdier and heavier than I expected for the price. They were exactly what I wanted. Online lighting is now my go to store for light fixtures.

After viewing the company’s excellent website, I phoned the company to obtain additional technical, product and shipping advice. Michael’s response to my queries were accurate, informative and timely. He placed my order and then followed up with phone calls to confirm time-sensitive delivery of a rather complex split-address order. The company Onlinelighting has: a physical address in Sydney, NSW, their own specialists contactable by phone and a live pop-up ‘specialist’ chat on the Website. Onlinelighting.com.au deserve a 10/10 rating on all fronts – website, technical support, specialist advice, product range and multiple avenues available to talk with a human in real-time.

Beware of return policy. They charge both ways and not customer friendly. Also advertised measurements were wrong. Would not use again

I ordered 3 led strip lights on Oct 9th.Was told delivery 16th nov did not arrive,no communication as to when it would arrive, i emailed them three times to ask where the order was and a new date for delivery.Still no reply so i wrote a rating of my experience and low n behold i got a phone call.New date was set for 12th dec 2019 into their premises,still has not arrived and no communication from them.If they think this customer service is top notch then i have to advise you to stay clear. It is so simple to email a customer to keep up to date yet they have failed in basic customer service.
Chameleon desk lamp
Ordered a Borgillio adjustable desk lamp, delivered within time frame, unfortunately not the Copper 94697, but turns out to be a black lamp. Not too happy, but decided I couldn't be bothered to return item as I only needed it on top of my piano. The item should have been checked before despatch. lamp works well.

Ordered two Emilia Mother and Child Floor Lamps - very pleased with the purchase. I emailed the company asking for advice as to how I could dim the lights, and I received a reply within five minutes. Fantastic service. Delivery was quick and efficient via Australia Post - arriving one day earlier than indicated - and carried inside (Unlike a recent experience with another unnamed company who deposited a 53 kg box outside my front door, when the courier refused to bring it inside my home- a distance of two metres!!! Taking door-to-door delivery a little too literally?)

Ari was really helpful letting me change lamp shades for a minimal fee (though I should have got him to check the size of the shades for me - I'm sure he would have given how helpful he was. The ones I've ended up with are a bit smaller than I thought and I would have been better sticking with the original ones!!)

Beautiful but faulty
The two lamps I purchased arrived on time and are absolutely beautiful just like the picture. However, one of the lamps came faulty, some of the dangly beads had fallen off into the box. It was easy to fix with some thread and a needle, but as it was a gift I was a little disappointed that not enough care was taken to prevent this, especially as it seemed that they were broken before being packed.
