We had no idea something was arcing, and it took a while to isolate it with Ting's help. It ended up to be an outdoor security light that was easy to fix. They checked back and were very easy to work with, no matter who we talked to. It’s nice to know they are watching our back.

My Ting sensor was having issues. I received a call from Ting that something was arcing in one of our circuits. I tried to find the source while being directed by a Ting specialist and we did find the circuit that was defective. They sent someone out to see which outlet was the cause and the electrician located it. Very pleased with the result. Ting is provided free of charge by State Farm who insures our property. It also covers $1000 worth of service so we didn't have to pay anything. Highly recommend

I received a Ting sensor through my insurance provider, State Farm, and it recently proved to be a lifesaver. The Ting team contacted me after detecting a hazardous electrical issue at my residence. Everything in my home seemed to be functioning perfectly, so I was completely unaware of any danger. The team went above and beyond to help diagnose the issue. When the electrician arrived, they discovered loose ground and neutral wires in my main electrical panel that posed an immediate fire hazard. Ting even offered to cover the electrician's repair costs. I am incredibly grateful to the Ting team, their proactive service truly saved my home and protected my family.

I was away from my house when I received a call from a Ting team member who told me that a fire hazard had been detected by my device and the tracking done at Ting. As I was out of the country at the time, this was very alarming. The Ting person told me he could arrange for an electrician to go to my house and assess the situation. When the electrician arrived, he found an emergency situation and was able to sort it out for me. I am very grateful to the Ting team for being there when this emergency occurred. Also I am grateful to my insurance company, State Farm, for offering me the Ting device for no charge.
Electrical hazard detected by Ting
Working with the Team from Ting was truly a great experience. We acquired Ting through State Farm Insurance after we were dropped by our previous provider after a small claim. The device and app were easy to install. Once installed, the peace of mind knowing that something was monitoring the houses electrical system, was just one more thing that we didn’t have to worry about. Then, one day while I was at work, I was notified by the Ting team that there was a potential problem and that the system had picked up arcing events. I worked with the Ting team over the next several days turning breakers off and turning them back on until we finally found the problem circuit! The Ting team was very knowledgeable and methodical about the process and was in constant contact throughout the whole process, which is comforting when going through something like this. Needless to say that this little device and the team behind it, protected my family from what could have been potentially catastrophic consequences! My Ting experience
The Ting safety experts were very patient with me in explaining and isolating the fire hazard to a single breaker. They also sent a very knowledgeable electrician to my home and worked with him to resolve the problem. Thank you very much.
We were experiencing flickering lights…
We were experiencing flickering lights and strange power surges. We were going to reach out to the power company, but before we could do that, Ting called to let us know that they were seeing “chaotic electrical activity” in our home. The agent walked me through step by step (over the phone) to determine the severity of the situation. After a thorough inspection was certain the problem was outside the home and gave me the exact language to use when speaking to the power company. The power company came out right away and fixed the problem, but out of an abundance of caution, they continued to monitor for 24 hours. It was a fantastic experience and I feel very confident in the extra level of protection. Our insurance company (Nationwide) provided the monitor.

We received the Ting notification of a possible fire hazard. Working with the Ting team, we determined I had a faulty outlet. I was impressed with the level of triage that went into the finding of the issue. Robert, my case manager, was very knowledgeable and walked me through, step by step. Once it was determined to be a faulty outlet, I replaced the outlet and the Ting team monitored for electrical arc, for 24 hours. I was back in touch with Robert and all looked good. I was also impressed with the communication (phone call, text and email). Great experience working with Robert and the entire Ting team.
You Need Ting!!
We haven't had our Ting for very long, maybe a couple of months and we got a fire hazard warning one afternoon (if you don't think that gets your attention you would be mistaken). It warned of a potentially hazardous arcing somewhere in the house. We connected with Cameron at Ting that same day and he walked us through eliminating the potential issues until we zeroed in on the culprit - an old night light that we kept plugged in in the kitchen to help us see when we took the dogs out at night. Once we had unplugged that light we had no other hazards. I guess the whole point is we'd never had any idea that night light was a hazard without Ting. Cameron was extremely patient and we never felt rushed or that he was not as concerned and motivated to find the cause as we were. I don't like to think of what Ting might have prevented, but I'm sure glad we have it. Thanks Ting!

Ting alerted me to the fire hazard. I contacted my electric company and they found the issue was a faulty issue at the transformer to my house. Thank you for saving my house from a fire!
Ting works!
Our insurance company let us know that Ting was a service that was available to us at no cost. Since it wasn’t costing us anything, and we live in an older house, we signed up to see what it was like. I figured it would be purely informational (weekly reports of electric voltage and tips) and initially it was. When I received a text and phone call from Ting that a hazard was detected, I knew that the Ting monitor was for real. We were guided step by step through the process of identifying what outlet was causing arcing and had triggered an alert. Ting contacted an electrician on our behalf with information regarding what the problem was, which outlet needed replacing, and which breaker to turn off. When the electrician arrived, Ting stayed on the phone with him to ensure that once the outlet was replaced and tested, that no hazard was detectable. Thank you Ting for catching this!
Saved a potential house fire
I recently bought a cat bed that was heated and Ting found out that this was what's causing my electric to spike. I got Ting from State Farm. What a great investment. It may have prevented a house fire. The support team at TING were amazing.

Arcing in an outlet was found. They guided me in how to look for the problem, I located the problem and tightened the loose screw which was causing the arcing, they guided me through the reset process and assured me that the problem had been found and fixed.
Ting identified a faulty neutral…
Ting identified a faulty neutral connection at the utility pole connected to our house. This caused routine voltage spikes and brownouts with our electric service. I would have never known the situation existed until something drastic happened like a fire or a destroyed appliance. I contacted our utility company and explained the findings of my Ting sensor. The utility rep confirmed the poor neutral connection and corrected the problem.

Our experience with Ting was AWESOME!!! Ting is provided to us by State Farm Insurance Company and we are VERY thankful!!! We could have had a house fire! We were alerted quickly to the dangerous situation and they worked with us to find the problem, which was a faulty breaker! I started getting power brownout…
I started getting power brownout notifications. Once I got more than one a day for a couple days I called my city utility department. They immediately knew there was an issue and came out to inspect my meter. Turns out it had been arcing which was causing the power brownouts. I called an electrician and Ting immediately. After some discussion Ting agreed that even though what was happening was not a normal fire hazard, they would help cover the cost of the repair. I’ve literally never had an easier more seamless experience. Uploading the documents, contacting the team, being kept up to date, all of it was amazing!

My Insurance Company State Farm offered the Ting monitoring service free of charge for both our Home and for our 2nd home at Lake of The Ozarks. Right away the Ting monitor detected arcing at the lake home and I was notified by email and thru the Ting app. I contacted the fire safety team and they were beyond awesome to work with. I had numerous conversations with numerous people throughout this process and each person I spoke to was professional and responsive to our issue. The bottom line is that they solved the arcing issue and we avoided a very possible fire hazard thanks to the Ting system. I can not thank Matthew and his team enough for their patience and persistence in resolving this issue.

Ting contacted me to tell me that they had observed arcing in my electrical system which is a warning for a fire hazard.
