I rented a car seat from this company following my daughter’s surgery for hip dysplasia. After the procedure, she was in a near full-body cast and unable to bend, which meant the car seat was completely unsuitable and not fit for its intended purpose.

Under consumer rights, I understood that if an item is not fit for purpose, I have the right to reject the item and should be entitled to a refund. However, when I contacted the company, they refused to acknowledge this. Instead of showing any understanding of the situation, I was met with a dismissive and unhelpful attitude.

What I found particularly upsetting was their insistence that I provide photographic proof of my daughter not fitting into the seat. Given that she had just undergone major surgery and was already in distress when we initially tried to use it, I was not willing to put her through that again just to satisfy their request. Expecting a parent to put their child through that again purely to “prove” the issue shows a complete lack of judgment and basic compassion.

Throughout the interaction, my concerns were repeatedly dismissed and I felt like I was not listened to at all. Instead I was interrupted, dismissed, and spoken to in a manner that was both rude and unprofessional. There was no willingness to find a solution, and no recognition of the situation we were dealing with.

This experience reflects extremely poor customer service and a concerning disregard for both consumer rights and basic decency. I would strongly advise others to avoid this company, particularly if you expect any level of support when something goes wrong.

Lovely communication and great service

I had been so stressed about what car seats my children could use while on holiday in the US as I read that UK car seats do not meet US . It was so helpful to find somewhere to hire US regulated car seats from that we could take with us. We also hired plane pals which were fab for my 2yo and 5yo to sleep on the flight and a yoyo stroller which we hired with additional connectors so that we could connect to our own yoyo to create a double buggy. Highly recommend!

So impressed with Tiny Explorers. We rented two strollers for a holiday and they were both immaculate and even arrived a day early. The WhatsApp feature was so so helpful when I had questions. Couldn’t fault them and would definitely use the service again in future. Highly recommend!

I am once again leaving a review regarding this company, as I feel compelled to update my previous experience.

After my initial review raising concerns about the condition of the car seat I received, the company responded by assuring me that they would never send out a damaged product and that all items are rigorously checked prior to dispatch. Although I was provided with a contact number to address my concerns, based on my previous experience with their customer service team, I did not feel confident that this would lead to a productive resolution, as they have a very poor and unprofessional way of speaking to customers.

Unfortunately, my experience directly contradicts the company’s claims. There was a small chip out of the handle, which did not affect the use of the car seat, and it was returned in the exact same condition as it was received. For this reason, I do not believe I should be held responsible for replacing the item. They insisted I damaged the item and it was not fit to use for upcoming customers , with that being said it should have never been sent out to me in the first place.

What is even more concerning is what has happened since. Rather than resolving the issue in a fair and reasonable manner, I am now being pursued by debt collectors for payment relating to a replacement and have been threatened with court action. This situation has caused a significant amount of stress and frustration, particularly as it stems from receiving a faulty or damaged product in the first place.

After reviewing other customer feedback, it appears that my experience may not be an isolated incident. There seems to be a pattern of similar complaints, which further calls into question the company’s standards and approach to customer service.

I strongly urge the company to take responsibility for these issues and to address customer concerns in a professional manner. As it stands, I would not recommend using this company.

Everything from start to finish ran so smoothly. We rented the slumberpod, it arrived in plenty of time and was in excellent condition. Returning it was so easy too - we will definitely use this service again. Can’t recommend them highly enough!

We ordered a Slumberpod to take away with us on holiday, it arrived early which was a bonus and was very easy to return at the end of the rental.

The service we got from Tiny Explorers were phenomenal. They accomodated our request as this was a last minute emergency trip, and they really delivered. Both the collections and returns processes for our items were smooth and we will definitely rent from them again!

Genius idea and amazing service. They were really easy to get in touch with regarding some questions about the rentals and they responded very quickly with help and advice. I’d recommend to all of my friends and will use again in the future!

Was hoping I could attach photos of the state the 2 flyaway inflatable beds (and the dirty screwed up fitted sheets) arrived in but that doesn’t seem to be an option. One bed deflated entirely during my overnight test as per their t&cs. Other was dirty and sticky and held together with various puncture repair kits and an elastic band. Returned both immediately ie within 24 hrs for a full refund per my WhatsApp conversation with them. Received no refund until I chased twice. Was then only refunded for one bed despite having returned both immediately. Dishonest and money grabbing company. I will have to seek a chargeback via my credit card company and plan on reporting them to trading standards.

Excellent company. All went to plan. The pram we hired was like new. It had been properly sanitized. Would use again for sure.

I used tiny explorers recently to hire a plane pal inflatable and also a cares harness. I was very impressed with how easy it was to book the hire of the items and also to return them. They arrived a day earlier than expected and clean and in good condition. They were also so easy to return and came with the return packaging included. My son slept great on the plane using the plane pal which was such a relief on a 13 hour flight. Would definitely use them again.
