Tntsports Reviews

Tnt commonwealth games coverage is rubbish. No sound and commentary at times. Studio guests talking and not showing action. Give the coverage back to BBC

TNT Sports claims to be the home of cycling yet we are not able to watch races from the start. Today’s 221km Donostia San Sebastian started with 69km to go and at around 30km we completely lost commentary, only hearing the sound of the cars and helicopter for c. 10km. In addition the commentators don’t seem to be well-equipped with information about the riders or race as it is on the road.

I wish I could give lower than one star. The commentary team blitheley witter on amongst themselves as if they were on a chat show or a coffee morning with the occasional reference to the action in the background, merrily talking over interviews with athletes and giving us very little if any information in the buildup as to who the athletes are what their achievements are what they’re relative positions are et cetera et cetera. I really cannot speak highly enough of how appalling the coverage and commentary is.
But the thing I really don’t understand is how any TV show executive can view this coverage and not be ashamed. And £34 a month. Plus endless adverts. Shameful. I have cancelled my subscription.

Lord knows why I started paying for this. I really wanted to see the Commonwealth Games but the coverage has been poor. We keep missing action because we have to listen to boring pundits wittering on. Once the Vuelta is over I will just cancel again as it’s really not worth it.

Terable presentation
Subscribed to watch the comonwealth games but the coverage is terrable
Not worth the subscription

Dreadful coverage of commonwealth games! We want to watch the sport not the constant studio coverage and interviews overlapping, like the track cycling today 30th July, more studio yapping and not enough sport!

TNT Commonwealth Games Athletics Presenters

Magnificent

the sweaty sock blond

just brilliant

johnny peacock

rebecca

brilliant sports punditry

Would give 0 stars if I could. The coverage of the commonwealth games coverage is the most atrocious viewing I have ever witnessed on a sports channel. Very little coverage of actual events and mist of the time is taken up by the studio hosts talking trash followed by “another quick break”

TNT sports / HBO Max coverage of Commonwealth Games is absolutely dreadful, worse coverage of any sporting event. next time leave this to BBC Sports to cover

Update 11/08 … TNT sports … are you watching the BBC sports coverage of the European Athletes Championships … that’s how it’s done properly

Horrible coverage of the Commonwealth games 2026. No commentary for most things and the commentary that was provided sounded like they got Phil and Sandra off the street and they had no clue what they were talking about. Out bidding the BBC then providing such horrible coverage, to the point I plan on cancelling my subscription.

Very disappointed no substitutes commonwealth 2026 on television.
I am deaf . I asks deaf people about no substitutes. TNT had not recognition . I can’t watching commonwealth sport on television.

Well I suppose I’m lucky I have NOW Tv so can watch some of the Commonwealth games, however it’s just the 360 live version, cannot see individual events. Some of the people giving comments do know their sports but again while they are chattering away on the settee they could be showing a lot more events, chopping a few minutes here and there is not working.
Oh unless you like the swimming that is with the Aussies winning practically everything and one race and distance seeming exactly like the last, rather boring.
Please show other sports, bowling, boxing, athletics ect.

Trying to watch the Commonwealth Games, luckily at a friends, and totally bewildered. They jump from one event to another without any proper coverage of any, the commentary is dreadful, what an earth is a para swimmer doing giving opinions on every other event as well as swimming. We have all stopped watching and are now looking for an alternative on any other channel but TNT. Absolute rubbish.

Absolutely appalling coverage of what should be a fabulous occasion! Commentators are generally lacking knowledge of the sport on which they are commentating - swimming was ridiculous! Didn't even know what Country the abbreviations stood for!!! Endless inane and trivial conversations- Moorhouse and Jameson certainly don't need to feel threatened re their jobs!!!!! Subscribed to watch the games - will never be fooled by TNT again!! Choice of what to watch - but doesn't give you any information as to who is involved, what stage it is or anything else. End up flicking through them all to find what you want to watch. Ridiculous!

The commonwealth games coverage is terrible, too much talking and jumping from one event to another. Talking over ladies floor routines in the gymnastics.
Anybody thinking about subscribing for the commonwealth games don’t bother all you will get is a lot of talking, a lot of adverts and the start of events but have to jump on the hbo app if you want to see the conclusion.

The worst broadcaster for Sports imaginable. The last few days I have tried to watch The Commonwealth Games and the LIV Golf UK on TNT Sports and it is genuinely unwatchable. In the golf, you see a couple of shots and then 5 mins of adverts. In the Commonwealth Games you have atrocious presenters and pundits (95% women for DEI) and they talk utter nonesense and act like exciteable children. Then after this you get 5 mins of adverts, then you get to watch a swimming race, then more of the same nonesense talk and adverts. Any sport on this channel is completely unwatchable and it has ruined 2 great sporting events in the UK. Needless to say the adverts are all woke and dont represent the Demographic of the UK, its like being brainwashed with the same adverts over and over again.

Poor coverage of the commonwealth games. Sound keeps cutting out. Moves from one event to the other mid contest. Disappointed.

Commonwealth games presenter Becky ives absolutely useless, certainly no Gaby Logan. Poor coverage and bad commentators, come on BBC get your act together and broadcast sports with national interest for your tv licence payers.

I have sky and it is expensive, especially with so many reapete programmes and adverts. Also tnt charges a fortune for the same service. I will not be renewing my contract and urge everyone to do the same. We are all being ripped off by these companies. Time to take a stand and stop these greedy people making a fortune especially with the cost of living crisis.

TNT SPORTS absolute rubbish signed up on sky for £35 month to watch commonwealth games just to much talking all the time. So I’ve stopped watching and cancelled my subscription never again paying for this rubbish not worth it.
