I wouldn't recommend

Short term use only. You can get your score up. However long term use it will cost you if you are not strategic in use. The payment process almost guarantees you will be late so pay more and ahead. Customer service is non existence.
Honestly I would not do it again but of you need to for boost credit only do it and be done.
After paying off card it virtually impossible to cancel card. Customer service as I stated before. App stops working as does web login.

Stay away from this scamming company

Stay away from this scamming company. The account representatives all share the same 2 brain cells. The automated system is down but yet they try to slip in a $10 fee for not using the broken automated system. Every employee is extremely rude they cut you off and talk over you about nonsense. Try another low credit card. This company should be forced to close they are complete useless

Predatory Lenders who Prey on People with Poor Credit

I am a cardholder with Total Visa who have only used my card approximately 6 times in 3 years. I originally applied because my credit was not the best but as I held a secured visa and other cards, I noticed my credit was beginning to improve. I noticed that my balance would increase every month to even if the balance was $0 on the card to nearly $300 dollars which was the max on the card and late fees would accumulate monthly for a balance that I had not generated. I reached out to the bank more times than I actually used the Total Visa card in the three years of holding the card only to reach an Asian representative on the other side of every call, who would gladly tell me that the late fees they charged me were not from balances I created but from the $6.95 monthly "fee" they generated every month weather I used the card or not. On several calls I told the representative that the app that they use (NO OFFICIAL APP FOR THE CARD) gives me an error every time I try to log in to check my Zero Balance so I requested that all statements be sent via US mail so that I would have a physical copy of my zero balance each month. The reps would always say the request was submitted but I never received a paper copy of my statement. They had me pay down the balance again in January to zero which was accumulated from late fees on "fees" I had no idea were being added to my account. On 2/14/2026, because of my conversation in January 2026, I received a text message form Total visa informing me of an upcoming $41 dollar payment coming due from an account with a $0 balance just a month ago which I have not used in over a year for any purchase. I called and spoke with an Asian guy (Phienard) again who had a heavy accent, whom I believe told me that the statements they were supposed to start sending was $3.50 per printed page and I would pay this amount whenever I request a copy of my statement. Meanwhile, I am being locked out of the 3rd party payment system which does not include detailed information with explanations for the charges of $41-$56 per month which kept accumulating on a $0 balance. I immediately requested an account closure to end all attempts to extort me for money. Phienard told me upon looking at my account the balance had jumped from the original balance I seen online of the 41-dollar date fee and another charge of $6.52 to a balance of $152.00 and refused to close the card. After repeatedly requesting to speak with his manager, I was connected to Mattie, who closed my account and informed me there would be charges for providing my contract and statements upon request. I finally told her, while the practice of charging per page for a cardholder’s statements was extremely rare, I was willing to pay whatever to have the documents I need to fight them in small claims court and report them to the proper authorities, as they continue to demonstrate predatory lending practices on people of color.

Do not waste your time

I was approved for a $300 credit limit from Total Visa back in January of 2026. I paid my $95 program fee and was told that I will receive my credit card within 3-5 business days, but wait up to 14 days just in case. I waited weeks and never received my card. I emailed customer service and asked about this, and their response was for me to call the 1-877 number. I called the 1-877 customer service number and spoke to someone about this and she stated that she saw that I paid my program fee and my card was already delivered to my mailbox. I assured her that I never received my card. She then said that she would issue for me a new credit card and report the one that was supposedly delivered already, as lost/stolen. She then tells me to wait up to 14 days to receive my “new” card. Well today, February 14, 2026, I received an email stating that my application was not approved. I called customer service today at 8:48pm, and he stated that my $95 program fee should be returned to the card I paid from and allow 7-10 business days. I asked him why would they approve my application, ask for the $95 fee, and then turn around and say my application is not approved. I then told him that it doesn’t make sense, this company seems like a scam, and he only apologized. I asked for a reference number of the phone call- they don’t have those. Worst experience ever. I will be looking forward to my $95 being returned to my card. If it doesn’t show up, I will be calling them every day and will dispute it with my bank.

Update: Today is March 1, 2026, and I still haven’t received my program fee refund. I’ve emailed and called them several times about this. They keep saying, “I have put in for your refund. Wait 7-10 business days.” Nothing yet. Well, I have disputed it with my bank. Least to say, this is a lesson learned.

If I could give less than a 1 I would. Shady and devious to bilk people out of money. The hands down most terrible customer service I have ever experienced. Try to tell you what a screen says even when you are reading it. They make up what they want or need it to say. Their communication is beyond shameful. I will be reporting to Atty General in my state andtheirs it was that bad!!!!!!

This is a scam

This is a scam. I normally make my monthly payments via debit card and they withdraw immediately. The one day I make an ach payment it took 10 days to post. By time they ran the transaction there were insufficient funds in my bank account. There was no way for me to retract the payment. They put a restriction on my account with no letter, email, and notification. I made a $100 payment that has not posted in the account. It’s a scam!! Do not by any means get the Total Visa Credit Card.

Approved, pay fee, and unapproved you.

Do not open an account with these people.
I was approved to open a credit card account with them and all I needed was to pay the 95 dollar fee for activation. I had already received my card as well.
When I tried to pay the fee, my debit cards were getting declined. They told me they didn’t accept master card debit cards. So I used my chase card and the same issue happened.
I then called to talk to a representative, it was hard to understand what they were saying because of their Indian accent, she told me that I can pay at a dollar general with cash or 711. So I decided to wait 20 minutes and I tried my card again and it went through, only to receive an email saying that I am not approved.

Customer service sucks, they steal money from you making you think you are approved, only to tell you that you are not once they took money from you.

I paid my bill ahead of time and they locked my card for it, stating they needed to verify I had paid the bill and wanting information from the other account I used to pay it. First off, I don't care who pays my bill; they should allow them to do so. It has been almost two weeks since they locked my card, and now, because I couldn't access those funds, my best friend Tucker could not receive the vet care he needed and has passed away.

Denied AFTER PAYING!!!!

I was approved, then about a week later I paid the program fee on the phone with a representative. She said I would be able to activate the card within an hour. Waited, couldn’t activate. Tried for two days and the automated message said wait 60 minutes. Then I got an offer through Credit Karma for Total visa select. Figured I’d try that one too. I got denied but I just figured I probably couldn’t put in two apps for Total in the same 30days like Capital One cards. Next day I called to activate my original Total Visa card (which already came in the mail) The system again said wait 60 minutes. I called in and the rep said I was denied I said what do you mean? I have the card and the email approval and paid my fee two days ago I was just waiting to activate it. I think they mixed it up with the second application but they insisted I was denied. I have emailed them and if they don’t honor my card or give me my money back and take the inquiry off my credit I will be reporting them to the CFPB. If I were you I would go with capital one card or credit one card if you are trying to improve credit. I have Yoral visa a try but it seems to be a scam especially since I now see all of these bad reviews.

The worst Credit Card company you can…

The worst Credit Card company you can ever sign up for! They give you unnecessary fees on top of fees! They charge you $15 everytime you use your card, so unnecessary and they charge you $41 for late fees even though I paid on time! I do not suggest getting this credit card company because it is a whole scam!!

I am also one of the people that if I could give this company a negative rating I would. I as well as many others reluctantly paid the $95 processing fee for the card, only to within minutes to not have any of my transactions go through any 5-day period I have had 55 transactions I have been on the phone with these people more than 25 times and not one transaction has gone through and all they keep telling me is that the store I am trying to use my card at is not authorized to have transactions with Total Visa. This makes absolutely no sense I am talking huge stores such as Target, Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Home Depot, StubHub, Ticketmaster, hotels and many more. Nothing works and they just keep giving me the same answer and now they refuse to give me my $95 back as well so I saw somebody bring up the fact of class action suit I say let's go because if you look them up on the Better Business Bureau which they are not a part of the Better Business Bureau which is very strange for a credit card company but anyway there's over 5,000 complaints on this company I wish I would have did my research first.

Avoid this company

I had read all the bad reviews, so I canceled my application, called, and spoke with a representative to confirm the cancellation of my application and to verify that I would not be charged an activation fee for a card I no longer wanted to receive. They assured me it was indeed canceled and that I would not have a fee processed. I received email confirmation within a few minutes as well, serving as a paper trail of this conversation and the cancellation transaction. Six days later, I was charged, and the money was taken out of my account. I called to get a refund and let them know that what they did was unlawful and fraudulent. They said it would take 7 days to get a refund on something they took illegally, as they no longer had authorization to process such payment. Be careful with this company and do your best to avoid even starting the process, as I was naive enough to do.

Should've read the reviews before…

hould've read the reviews before accepting the so-called pre approval. Submitted info thinking this would help in my credit comeback which was already improving. Only to say they need more info. Smelling a rat I refused any more info. Kinda glad I did. This card appears to be useless. Almost appears to be a phishing scam to get info.

If I could give them a negative 5 starts I would. This actually is the worst card ever. I recently had my wallet stolen so I call this fraudulent credit card issuer. I submitted an address change. I was told by their representative that it takes 2 weeks for an address change to go through. Mind you they verified it while speaking to customer service. Then it takes 2 more weeks to get a replacement card. Then it takes 3 weeks for a payment to go through. One month to receive a replacement card. Another 4 weeks to proceed a payment
Nearly 2 months to be able to use the card. To anyone who is thinking about getting this card I strongly suggest that you pass this one up and anyone you may know who is thinking about it warn them!!!!!

POSSIBLE FRAUD BY TOTAL VISA?

FRAUD BY TOTAL VISA? OR A MISTAKE BY TOTAL VISA / BANK OF MISSOURI?
Can NOT reach a live person on any number to discuss an erroneous billing statement, so far it is not even possible to speak to anyone at all. I am being wrongly charged a Late Fee after Total Visa failed to withdraw the funds as authorized by auto debit agreement. And now I received an email telling me "LET US HELP". I called the number listed only to get an automated system that put me in an endless vicious cycle of push-button hell that routes to nobody. And the dispute for is a printable form that looks like you must manually fill in form to scan, FAX, or snail mail (designed to discourage disputes). I Cannot even locate an email address to contact Total Visa for a dispute or return phone call...that makes me see this as a scam company (only my opinion). This is only my opinion, but this is how scammers operate, meaning you can never talk to them, see them or confront them to resolve an issue. I hope Total Visa contacts me to waive the late fee. If I cannot resolve this, meaning if Total Visa will not reach me, or if they do not contact me to offer a reasonable resolution, I will escalate it accordingly.
*UPDATE: I've called each and every number I can find, the only rep I talked to told me he cannot help me with anything! He told me he cannot provide me any phone numbers for a live person! He also refused to provide any emails to reach Total Visa.

This company is a scam

This company is a scam! I was approved for a card for a $300 credit limit. I had to pay at $95 fee which I reluctantly paid. I received the card and now they’re trying to get an additional $75 what they call an initial fee. You have to pay over $150 to get a $225 credit limit. I think I’m gonna organize a class action lawsuit for unfair practices and deceptive practices.
