I can’t recommend Traditional Beams highly enough. The team were brilliant from beginning to end, and the product is of high quality. There was a slight delay due to the courier but they kept me in touch with progress all the way. Fantastic company, fantastic people, fantastic product.

The beam and shelves were exactly as I expected. I chose the "aged" option, which was perfect.

Had an aged oak mantle beam in Rugger Brown from Traditional Beams & it is stunning.
Kept up to date with everything & delivery was on the day requested due to work commitments.

Wonderful from start to finish. I needed a window beam much longer than those advertised on their website but on contacting them to ask if a larger size was possible nothing was too much trouble. They advised on over hang width & colour matched to a beam we already have in place. Order arrived promptly, was so easy to fit. Thrilled with the finished look.

I did not know that window beams even existed before I saw someone showing theirs on Instagram. I found Traditional Beams tagged in the post. I checked out their website, which I found easy to navigate, and I was hooked.

I did look online to see if there were other companies out there. Yes there are, but the reviews were not complimentary, unlike the reviews Traditional Beams had.

The ordering process was easy and the updates from then were informative and useful.

When the beams arrived, they literally took my breath away. They are so beautiful. Now this may sound silly, but they are proper solid chunks of wood. I love the natural look of them and was thrilled when one of the ones the beams I got had a beautiful knot in the wood.

The instructions to hang them were spot on. They have made such a difference to not only my windows but the whole room.

I can not recommend enough. You need these in your life! I will certainly be ordering more!

We have purchased two beams from this company and they are superb quality. Have really made both our fire places look original.

At the outset we ordered a butchers block style oak worktop, because of this style we were informed by Traditional Beams they normally outsource this to another company specialising in this method of construction.
When it arrived we were extremely disappointed, it arrived soaking wet totally unfinished, not sanded, not oiled and totally the wrong size.
As you could imagine our first port of call was with Traditional Beams, they took up the case with the manufacturer who washed their hands of the situation.
Up steps David from Traditional Beams who explained he would rather have a satisfied customer at his own expense, a trait which I think is rarely seen these days.
We reordered, this time with a full stave worktop because we knew they were made in house and from then on we were super confident we would not be disappointed. We did have to wait due to the workload demand but hey presto the worktop arrived yesterday, absolutely lovely and a perfect fit for the sizes we had templated.
Well worth the wait and old traditional values at heart.

First beam was delivered late, was beautiful but had what clearly looked (to me) as brush marks (going against the wood grain, very defined lines of darker/lighter patches). Emailed the customer services with photos and they eventually agreed to replace with a second beam free of charge, ok great.

Second beam arrived with a large black line down the front, very very visible. Looked like marker pen or something?Not sure how it was packed and delivered like it.
Tried to wipe it off with my sleeve but that wiped the varnish off (wasn't expecting the varnish to still be wet?!) so I ended up with a white patch on the beam. However I didn't contact the company about this as I made such a fuss about the first one I couldn't be bothered about the second! So we bought some varnish and redid ourselves, and it looks great now.

Customer service I would say is good, as they did replace the first beam even though they insist it was natural wood colour variation. Quality controls perhaps a bit dubious.
