True North Mortgage Reviews

We financed a new mortgage through True North when we needed to renew as we did not want to stay with our current lender. We liked that the brokers at True North are salaried and not commission based, which means they won't just go with the lender that gives them the highest commission. This was our first time renewing a mortgage as we had not lived in Canada previously as home owners. We hooked up with Madhur Tyagi (Maddy) at True North and he walked us though the process; answering all our questions and informing us on everything else we were not familiar with. He was patient in answering our many inquiries and wonderfully quick at getting back to our emails and voicemails. We felt very secure and at ease with Maddy and knew that things would be done on time. True North gave us a fantastic 5year fixed rate.
Maddy kept us abreast of everything as it took place and even worked a miracle last minute with the FCT to push up the signing as my husband would be out of the country and unavailable at the normal time. Everything was handled with the utmost care and professionalism.

We have already reccomended Maddy and True North to our relatives and many of our friends. We have no reservations recommending them to anyone.

Thanks Maddy for all your hard work. We appreciate you!

My experience working with Dana Piche at True North was fantastic. She was very responsive and answered my questions to put my mind at ease and help me understand the process. She was able to get me a great rate very quickly. Family members have also worked with Dana and I will certainly return for my future mortgage needs. Great company and service!

It was a very good opportunity to know people who you can trust. Maria was very helpful when i did not understand any process. Thank you

Mitch Monaco pulled through. 10/10 for everything - he constantly followed up and was determined to close the deal.

I would like to, personally thank Samarth Mehrotra (Sam) from True North Mortgage.
I was amazed by your professionalism, your honesty and all-around pleasant conversation. If you’re even slightly interested in renewing your mortgage, I highly recommend this man he got me a best deal better than I can find anywhere else. I owe you a Tim Hortons donuts coffee card. Honestly, you’ve been amazing to deal with. I highly recommend you use him. Douglas

I was very impressed with Landon from the downtown Calgary location. He was extremely knowledgeable and honest. It’s so refreshing to hear someone who truly has my best interests at heart.

Working with Madhur was a great experience. I strongly recommend Tru North Mortgage to everyone!

Great experience with True North Mortgage and more importantly Robert Dang who was knowledgeable but also personable. Robert was able to answer all my questions with detail. What really stood out about Robert was his quick responses and availability. A truly remarkable experience. I would recommend True North Mortgage and Robert in the future.

I can’t say enough about the incredible service I received from William Dang, our mortgage advisor. From our very first conversation, he really took the time to truly understand my needs, answer all my questions, and guide me through every step of the mortgage process with patience and clarity.

His expertise and attention to detail made what could have been a stressful experience feel smooth and manageable. He was always quick to respond, explained complex terms in a way I could easily understand, and went above and beyond to secure the best possible rate for me as well as get a lawyer's discount too.

Thanks to William and True North Mortgage, I felt confident and supported from start to finish. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and trustworthy mortgage company.

Rashpreeth provided excellent service during my mortgage process. She was very responsive, professional, and made sure everything was completed on time. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a mortgage broker. 👍

We used True North on our recent purchase and it was the best experience we have ever had with a mortgage broker. Joyce Lee was absolutely fantastic and on top of everything! We were in great hands and I would highly recommend her and True North. Will never use another brokerage again!

We had an excellent experience working with Ashton Bennett and his team. From start to finish, the process was handled with professionalism, transparency, and efficiency.

Ashton took the time to clearly explain our options, answered all of our questions promptly, and ensured we understood each step of the process. We especially appreciated how responsive and proactive he was; it made what can often be a stressful experience feel smooth and well-managed.

Thanks to their guidance, we were able to secure very competitive terms and close without any issues. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and reliable mortgage professional.

I worked with Nav Khipal to finance the purchase of a property. This is the second time I've worked with Nav - she provided excellent service, she was very responsive to anything that came up, and her communication skills were excellent! I would definitely recommend Nav if you are considering True North!

Recently, Ben Skerrett of TNM has helped me with refinancing options and the entire process was dealt with efficiently and professionally, and in a timely fashion to ensure the closing date was met! For this, I just want to thank Ben and prior to him, Dave Church was the guy who started the process with me, and all the same, Dave too is very professional and diligent to assist me in walking through the requirements and options. For this again, many thanks to TNM for providing these two great guys who take their work with their clients seriously enough! Well, done, Ben! I do appreciate your services rendered to me very much! And I would recommend TNM to anyone requiring their mortgage services!

Pranay helped us immensely and honestly saved us from a tough situation. We were worried we’d end up with a very high interest rate or have to go with private lenders, but he secured a competitive rate and gave us a couple of solid options with A lenders to choose from.

In our most stressful time, we called him and explained our situation, and within a day and a half he helped us submit our documents and reviewed everything with us to put us at ease. We were so, and are still, so grateful.

From the very first call, Pranay was incredibly available and responsive. He would take our calls morning or night, communicated quickly, and kept everything clear and on track. He was professional throughout, and nothing ever felt like a problem. He made the whole process easy and stress free. We genuinely felt at ease knowing he was handling it.

We are so thankful we called True North Mortgage, and even more thankful we had the pleasure of working with Pranay. Highly recommend.

Dana Piché of True North Mortgage is literally the Mortgage whisperer . She not only held our hands throughout the whole process but was able to deal with TD respectfully and considerately( they on the other hand were neither.. main reason why we chose True North) . Kudos to True North and their most dedicated employee Dana Piché.. always bringing respect, knowledge and consideration to the table. Merci😘

Traditional banks kept telling me my credit rating was too bad, that I couldn't qualify to remortgage the home I am in, even though I have an existing mortgage. TD wouldn't budge on helping me with the high payments. So I reached out to True North, Ryan my broker was amazing, he got me an amazing deal with another institution and my payments are now manageable again. Thank you Ryan.

Peter was a true pleasure to deal with. Fast and very professional.

Words cannot describe how incredible Antoniette McDonald has been. After wasting close to a month of my time trying to get an approval with my bank and with a different broker, I reached out to True North and was connected to Antoniette. She got to work right off the batt. She explained the mortgage approval process and communicated everything with an immense level of kindness and respect. Being a first time home buyer, the entire mortgage approval process is all new to me and I had a LOT of questions. Antionette answered all of my questions and re-assured me when I got over-whelmed during the process as my file was extremely complicated. Antoniette was genuinely right there with me every step of the way- going above and beyond to get me an approval. Not only did she do what two other banks couldn’t, she got me TWO separate approvals- one of which with a competitive prime rate.

I would not have been able to purchase my first home without Antoniette.

If you’re unfamiliar with the mortgage approval process or have been given the run-around with banks like I have myself, I highly recommended reaching out to Antoniette McDonald as I know first hand that she will put in the work to get you an approval.

I had an excellent experience working with my mortgage agent Brett at True North. As a first-time home buyer, I had many questions and uncertainties, but he went above and beyond to guide me through every step with patience, clarity, and professionalism.

Brett was incredibly responsive, transparent, and always took the time to explain my options in a way that made me feel confident and informed. His client-focused approach and genuine care made the entire process smooth and far less stressful than I expected.

I’m truly grateful for his support and dedication, and I would not hesitate to recommend Brett to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, trustworthy and supportive mortgage professional. Thank you, Brett!
