The trip was well planned and we saw a lot of interesting sights in Tokyo and Seoul. The drivers and guides were courteous and polite, and always on time. Without the help of UME Travel, we wouldn’t have experienced so much of Japan and Korea. I’m making an inquiry with UME on a trip to Singapore.

I was planning a trip for my 82 year old Mom and myself to travel to Japan, which had been a dream of hers for a long time. I was nervous and wasn't sure where to start. I was blessed to find UME Travel and more particularly to find Amber. She set my mind at ease and helped me plan the perfect 7 day adventure. The whole process was easy and fit right into our budget. Once in Japan, our drivers and private guides were Amazing, made our journey even more enjoyable. I Highly recommend UME TRAVEL And Amber, GREAT JOB!!

Dealing with UME was very positive because of our advisor Lan Liu who did a fantastic job with the itinerary on our trip to Japan. Lan was prompt and detailed in all aspects of our trip, from the initial contact to our last day plans.
In addition, our guides Teney and Yuya were knowledgeable and friendly and made our visit in the different cities memorable.
Our drivers, Mr Chen & Mr Bean, were courteous, friendly and very helpful.

From the moment we reached out to UME travel we knew this was the travel planning company we wanted to entrust our travel planning to. Dan we extremely efficient in his replies and was detailed down to the smallest requests we made. I would 100% recommend UME travel again and will reach out to use them again for my next travel plans.

We are a family of 7 travelling from Canada, ages 11 to 73 years old. We wanted to take a 10 day Family tour of Japan Over Easter 2026. I looked into a number of companies with family-friendly itineraries. We decided on UME after reading positive reviews of this company, and I thought their private tours were priced similarly to other large group tours I had seen. We also customized our itinerary based on our interests. I highly recommend UME and will not hesitate to use them for another trip in the future. First, they were extremely communicative. Lan Liu helped customize our itinerary and offered excellent advice. We communicated back and forth using WhatsApp and that was very easy! She was even checking in with us during our trip. Second, there were no surprises on this trip- everything was perfectly organized and everything went very smoothly and as expected!! We had a fabulous time!! We enjoyed our English speaking guides and our drivers were excellent. Having a private van drive us everywhere was so nice as well- especially when we could leave our bags in the van when we were on the move. Overall, do not hesitate to book with UME (and Lan). Thanks for the memories :)

The tour guide John Ng was amazing! He exceeded all expectations and went above and beyond on all of the days that he was with us. He made sure to take group photos of us at all of our stops, along with candid photos and videos. He knew to keep our group on a certain pace so that we could enjoy each site without taking away time from the next destination. Each morning, he provided a brief update on the weather for the day and what sites we were planning to visit. For almost every meal, if he was with us in the restaurant, he made sure that all of our orders were to our liking and satisfaction. John made our first trip to Japan that much more memorable. We would highly recommend him to anyone visiting Japan!
Lan Liu also made sure that our trip and tour was going well, following up with us pretty much every day to see how things were going. Lan was also very flexible with us during the initial process while we were modifying and finalizing our initinerary.

Before booking our family trip to Thailand and Bali with UME, I considered two other agencies as references. From the start, UME Travel and its advisor, Dan Li, impressed me as highly capable and attentive. He responded promptly to all my questions, addressed my concerns, and offered various options for our itinerary. We wanted a blend of culture, history, adventure, and two full days (two nights) at the beach. The key was to find activities that would be enjoyable and engaging for an active 10-year-old. All these aspects were covered, and I appreciated Dan's quick responses at every step.

The strong partnership persisted throughout the trip, especially when things went slightly awry, which I consider the best indicator of a company's true value. We started in Thailand, and that segment went as smoothly as possible. Our local guide, Tanny L., with whom we immediately connected, and the private driver were both outstanding. Everything—from hotels, transportation, airport pickups and drop-offs, food, activities, and sites visited—was excellent, making the experience enjoyable.

When we traveled to Bali, Indonesia, we encountered a minor issue with our hotel bed arrangement. However, it was swiftly fixed to our complete satisfaction. The problem stemmed from a clerical error in the paperwork issued by the local agent, not negligence. I contacted Dan Li at UME, who responded within minutes and resolved the issue promptly. Additionally, the hotel staff were very cooperative and made us feel welcome.

Our second challenge after arriving in Bali was quite sensitive. Our airport pickup guide was friendly and professional, but my 10-year-old grandson and his mom couldn't understand his English, as it’s also a second language for them. I apologize to our initial guide for having to make that request, as his conduct was otherwise appropriate. When I spoke with Dan Li, I asked if a different guide could be assigned, and he handled this request. The next morning, we met our new guide, Puja, and the rest of our trip in Bali went smoothly. I am unsure if "Puja" is the correct spelling of his name.

We thoroughly enjoyed both Thailand and Bali and plan to choose UME Travel for our upcoming trips. They are an excellent agency that truly understands how to create a memorable travel experience and handle any issues that may occur. Thanks to the excellent support from travel agent Dan Li, we never felt alone or neglected. We appreciate your effort and dedication in organizing our trip.

The only change I would make to this trip is the location of our second hotel in Bali. Amnaya Resort Nusa Dua is a nice hotel, but I would prefer one closer to a sandy beach. I take responsibility for this mistake; I should have researched the hotel's location more thoroughly.

Our 10 day Japan trip was absolutely wonderful, thanks to the thoughtful planning by UME Travel. Felix Niu, our agent, was truly exceptional—always responsive, attentive, and a pleasure to work with. Every detail of the itinerary was carefully curated, making the entire experience smooth, enjoyable, and stress-free. We will gladly choose UME again for our future travels and highly recommend them to others.

We would also like to sincerely thank our local guides Chris, Yiyi, Rachael, and Steve for their excellent knowledge, professionalism, and warmth. Each of them brought the destinations to life and made every experience more meaningful and enjoyable. Special appreciation as well to our drivers Alex and Hui, who were always punctual, safe, and courteous, ensuring comfortable travel throughout the trip.

Ivan did a great Job planning. Easy to communicate with and very responsive. Great organization on the ground. Everything was timely. Every pickup organized with quality vehicles. Always on time and very friendly Staff. Our guides Clifford and John were great. Experienced and very accommodating.

Im finally back home and would like to share my full review of my Japan Trip.

First, this was a 40th birthday solo trip. This was my first time visiting Asia and had been a dream of mine to come to Japan. Lan was my agent and really did a superb job in getting my needs met.

I gave her a budget and she was able to find the right itinerary for me. I have no complaints and for the 9 days I was there, I had a very fun filled trip.

The hotels she booked me at were all in great locations. Especially in Osaka, my hotel was very close to Osaka Castle.

When it came to my private walking tours, my first was with Tao. Tao arrived early took time to let me get cash for the day, and helped me understand the subway system.
We went to this beautiful park, did the famous Shibuya Crossing, walked briefly through Harajuku, and got a chance to learn about each other. We bonded over liking Star Wars.
Tao was professional, yet laid back, and very informative. Having him as my first guide really set a good standard for th8s company.

Our drivers (Lin and Kris) for the Mt Fuji and the Kyoto/Nara day trips were amazing. I appreciated their safe driving and patience. Lin was amazing for letting me sleep and not making a fuss about it and Kris took the time to find me when I got turned around trying to find the car. I believe they both work for Gogodaytravel!!

My last private tour guide, Yuya was very knowledgeable about the temples we visited and of Osaka Castle. I enjoy learning about history and having him as my guide really was informative. I got a brief history about Osaka Castle, the 3 time capsules located on the grounds, and over all Osaka mannerisms and culture. He was sweet to let me stop and buy things at the local shops, or when I wanted to collect my commemorative stamps.
The moment that really got me was when right before my boat tour, I met his supervisor (David) and he gave me a gift my agent (Lan) got me for my birthday.

I think that was so nice of her and really "put the cherry on top" of an already great trip!

I will absolutely book with this company again.

Other highlights: I liked I was booked at a LGBTQ friendly hotel in Oskaka.I am not gay but I am an Ally and knowing there are safe spaces like these is comforting and I will tell my friends who look for accommodations like these.

I was not over booked with activities but just enough to make the trip worth it. My two free days in Toyko and Osaka were just right.

I didn't know I would be set up with an e-sim. I already had one bought before my trip, but I like that extra perk in my package.

The communication between me and my agent Lan was top tier!! Please give her (and everyone who worked during my trip) a bonus or raise. They all worked hard and were complete professionals.

I hope to encourage more of my friends to come to Asia and book with UME.

Our guide Monchai and the driver Sumnock were exceptional! They gave us full days of their attention to details about temples and the importance of the respect and the culture of Thailand.
We were not satisfied with the Pure 11 hotel, however. It had good friendly staff, however, the accommodations were a bit poor.
It appeared to only serve breakfast. The restaurant showed they were open till 6 PM, but we never found it open after our afternoon returns to the hotel.
Although you saw a bar menu, there was no bar open to visit, Just a refrigerator containing beer and soft drinks which you needed to take out of the refrigerator walk to the reception desk and pay for it.
Hope you change this for future tourists

Our experience was great! Communication was always very clear, on time, and consistent. Felix was always very helpful answering any questions or providing suggestions for restaurants. I loved that even when our trip was already booked and paid for, Felix continued to check on us throughout the trip to make sure everything was going smoothly and that we were enjoying ourselves. All our guides and drivers were very nice and attentive! All of them were very good at explaining the sites, history and even taking pictures of us to help us capture memories! The location of the hotels were great, very close to transportation and stores near by. All the hotels were clean and great staff! We loved the culture, sites, food…everything about this trip was wonderful!

We were a group of 10 from various places in the US, including 1 from the UK who took a private 11-day tour starting and ending in Osaka custom-planned by Lan Liu with UME Travel.
The communication throughout the tedious planning stage was exact and excellent. Lan was responsive and accommodating. We especially appreciated her "staying with us" throughout the tour, stepping up to assist whenever needed. Her team of 2 professional guides was knowledgeable and enthusiastic; comfortable transportation was provided by 1 very calm polite driver. Lan was even willing to adjust plans along the way, and it was clear the plan was built for a premium experience....and it was.

Felix from UME travel was awesome. He was very accommodating to our needs before and even during travel. He kindly made some travel adjustments while we were traveling to Japan. He even gave us some extras with no added fees. Accommodations, guided tours and travel assistance or all done with no stress on for our group.

My wife and I had a fantastic visit to Japan with the help of Carrie Tang and UME Travel. Everything went smoothly from start to finish with the considerable insight and experience of the UME professionals.
We loved staying at the InterContinental Tokyo Bay hotel which was very comfortable and had delicious morning and evening buffets.
One of the many highlights of our trip was our travel to Mt Fuji which we caught on a clear day and was just beautiful.
That evening we stayed at a very classy authentic Japanese hotel (Fuji Onsenji Yumedono) which even included our own hot soaking spa with our room.
The authentic Japanese breakfast we had the next morning was quite the treat.
I want to thank our two very skilled UME guides (Lynn and Jessy) and our driver (Alex) during our visit..
My wife and I had a terrific time during our visit to Japan with the considerable help of Carrie Tang and the UME Team.

20-Days Vietnam and China Private Tour
March 2026

Our Asia journey began with a WhatsApp message from UME travel advisor Dan Li, offering to assist with our travel plans. Curious about his background and the agency, I asked for more information. He quickly provided detailed credentials, introducing a China-based travel company that specializes in customized trips throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

From the outset, Dan made an effort to understand our preferences—our budget, travel style, and any limitations. My girlfriend and I specifically wanted a private tour to avoid large crowds and the typical group travel experience, especially shared meals with other tourists. Dan carefully crafted an itinerary that aligned perfectly with our expectations, guiding us through each destination and option.

We started planning about six months in advance, and throughout the process, Dan was patient, attentive, and thorough. He walked us through every step, from booking to final payment, even suggesting ways to save a few hundred dollars by using a bank wire transfer. He also provided detailed contact information for local representatives at each destination, which gave us great confidence.

Our 20-day trip took us from Los Angeles to Ho Chi Minh City, Hue, Hoi An, Hanoi, and Ha Long Bay in Vietnam, followed by Chongqing, Fenghuang (Phoenix Ancient Town), and Zhangjiajie in China. The itinerary included nine accommodations, three domestic flights, and two high-speed train journeys within China.

During the trip, we were supported by several excellent local guides—Mr. Khai, Mr. Ky Nguyen, Mr. Leo, Ms. Amy, Mr. Smile, Sally, and Ann—all of whom were knowledgeable, professional, and fluent in English. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, making the entire experience seamless and enjoyable.

We were extremely impressed with the level of service provided by this agency. I would highly recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Asia and would gladly use their services again in the future.

I had a great experience. The travel agent Amber was able to help me plan my trip even put in details about food districts that were amazing. Going to all the shrines was great the views from them were breathtaking. Going on top of Shibuya sky was incredible a little scary because of the heights but the view was breathtaking . The boat ride tour I did for Mount Fuji was fantastic overall the experience was amazing. 10 out of 10 I would go again except for maybe longer it was just an amazing experience.

We just finished an amazing trip to Japan. Our trip organiser Eva Wang did an amazing job with our itinerary. We also had very good guides along the way with special shout out to Ms Hikari( Osaka/Kyoto), and Ms Lynn( Tokyo). Drivers (Mr. Han, Mr. Lee). The attention to detail with the plan was remarkable.
