Great itinerary - lots of variety - Amber was highly responsive and great to deal with

My first impression after Landing in Manila, Philippines was where is my transportation to the Belmont Hotel. All arrangement had been made previous , but failure to complete this task in the rain was extremely difficult. Kristel(JTB) failed this assignment twice in Manila, Philippines. My Cellphone was not performing at the time ,and I had NO internet(WIFI). This I thought was extremely important to pick-up a senior citizen celebrating this birthday for the first time in the Philippines. I was extremely disappointed in UME Travel for the first time. I previous travel to both Malaysia, and Thailand(for my birthday, and both times the transportation was perfect. This time these mistakes cause me additional fares,and uncertainty. I love a little adventure like everybody else, but not when I have to deal with pouring rain, Eva Wang(UME) was contacted and informed of these issues. I expect UME to compensated me for any additional expense. I think a few misstep will not "STOP" me from doing business with your agency. I hope that NEXT YEAR to do something else special!!

We completed our trip to Chengdu, China and Tibet with UME travel; our advisor was Mr. Dan Li. The service of both Mr. Dan Li and UME travel was exceptional. Due to floods at Nepal -Tibet border, our trip had to be rerouted, and Dan made it happen. He maintained excellent communication with us to craft the revised trip and we had wonderful experiences. We had previously traveled to Japan and Bhutan with this company, and Dan has been our advisor on all of these trips. Each of these trips have been flawless and truly memorable. Many thanks to UME travel, especially to Mr. Dan Li.

This is the second tour we've booked with UME based on the exceptional service and tour we had in Thailand. The same level of comfort and service was provided by UME on our 2-week tour through Japan. Ivan was able to customize a family-friendly tour with conveniently located 4-star hotels throughout our stay. The hotels were wonderful and included an onsen, which was a nice perk. All hotels were near a train station, too, which we didn't have to use thanks to the private car service. The tour guides we had throughout Thailand were exceptional; they were local residents and were able to provide an in depth experience for us based on their lives there. In Japan, the tour guides were hit or miss. Most were not Japanese, so they didn't have the same level of expertise and engagement as we had hoped for. Our tour guide throughout Kyoto and Osaka saved the trip because she was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the places we visited and was great with our daughters, too. We would use UME again, perhaps in a future travel to South Korea, but I'd be interested to learn if the tour guides there would be local. Ivan and UME are super responsive and aim to please, which is why we continue to give them 5 stars.

We had an incredible experience with UME Travel for our trip to Japan and South Korea. From the planning stages all the way through the trip itself, everything was organized extremely well and made traveling through multiple cities feel easy and stress-free.

Gary and Ivan were our main liaisons and were amazing to work with. They listened to what we wanted from the trip and put together an itinerary that gave us a great balance of sightseeing, unique experiences, food, culture, and enough flexibility to really enjoy each destination. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process, and we always felt like we had someone available if we needed help.

The guides were one of the biggest highlights of the trip. In Japan, we had the pleasure of spending time with Jaycee, Megan, and Momo, and in South Korea we were guided by Ricky. Every one of them was knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and genuinely enjoyable to spend time with. What we appreciated most was that they didn’t just take us from one attraction to another. They shared their own local perspectives, explained the culture and history behind what we were seeing, introduced us to things we probably would never have experienced on our own, and made us feel much more connected to the places we were visiting.

Those personal interactions made a huge difference and turned an already amazing trip into something we’ll remember for the rest of our lives.

We would absolutely recommend UME Travel to anyone planning a trip to Japan, South Korea, or anywhere else they operate. Gary, Ivan, Jaycee, Megan, Momo, Ricky, and the entire UME team helped make our trip truly special. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

UME Travel put together a 15-day tour in China & Cambodia.
UME Travel tour guides were very knowledgeable regarding the history of the sites visited. All tour guides were very accommodating and knows how to provide assistance to a senior individual like myself in navigating anciant stone steps. The assigned drivers were just as friendly and helpful.
Lunches selected were excellent and provided insight to local cuisine.
The hotels were acceptable.

The tour was excellent and our tour guide Monchai was AMAZING. Everything was amazing and it wasn’t too hot. The activities were exactly what we wanted. I would rate this 10 stars if that was an option. Would highly recommend 👍❤️

As a single parent, planning trips for 3 teenagers can be challenging. We wanted to visit Japan and Thailand, but had no idea where to start or what to do. Carrie and UME Travel made this experience incredible and beyond memorable for my family! Every day was full of activity and we were able to take advantage of every single minute on our vacation. The guides, like Cris in Tokyo, Ms. A in Bangkok, and Lisa in Phuket, were knowledgable and kind, and provided us insight on every single event we participated in. My children adored them, and were completely engaged and excited for every new day. We would have been completely lost without them. Everyone was responsive and patient, and helped us feel comfortable during our journey. That meant everything to us. The memories we created will last the rest of our lives, and I can honestly credit Carrie and UME Travel for giving me that joy I was able to share with my children. We had a great experience across Thailand - all of our guides (Poly, Kai, MM) were excellent, transport was punctual and everything worked great. We really appreciated getting the local perspective from our guides. Highly recommended!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Japan Experience with UME Travel
I recently returned from a 10-day trip to Japan with my husband, son, and daughter, visiting Tokyo, Mt. Fuji, Kyoto, Osaka, and Hiroshima. I cannot say enough good things about UME Travel and the incredible team that made this trip so memorable.

From the very beginning, the planning process was exceptional. I worked with Dan for almost a year to customize our itinerary, and he was always professional, responsive, and willing to help. He patiently answered all of my questions and concerns and always made me feel at ease, even when I was nervous as the trip approached.

One of the things I appreciated most was the flexibility. This was a private tour, and UME Travel accommodated our schedule and preferences every step of the way. We chose to have some free days in Tokyo so we could explore and shop on our own, and the team was happy to tailor the itinerary to fit our needs. They were also very flexible with destination changes, drop-off locations, and other last-minute adjustments throughout the trip.

Our guides were fantastic. In Mt. Fuji, Kiran adjusted one of our planned stops so we could get a better view of the mountain on a day when visibility was limited. That change made all the difference and gave us one of our favorite memories of the trip.

Yuya, our guide in Kyoto and Osaka, went above and beyond for my husband and son, rearranging part of our itinerary to take them to a special anime location they were excited to visit. That extra effort meant so much to our family and made the experience even more personal.

David, our main contact while we were in Japan, was outstanding. He constantly checked in on us, provided updates, and made sure everything ran smoothly. It was reassuring to know he was always available if we needed anything.

The transportation arrangements were flawless. Every driver was punctual, courteous, and professional. They ensured we never felt lost, escorting us directly to the correct bullet train gates and meeting us when we arrived at our destinations. Their attention to detail made traveling between cities completely stress-free.

Overall, the experience exceeded our expectations. Every member of the UME Travel team, from the planners to the guides and drivers, was attentive, professional, and genuinely committed to making our trip special.

Travel consultant from Ume Travel for the past year and half , working on a Bali holiday for ten people . Three generations from ages 14 years to 75 years , from Alberta , Canada .Carrie has put in many hours of researching for us for hotels , tours , places to eat .Carrie provided a guide and a driver . Everything everything was just wonderful . The family of ten has made many memories from this Bali holiday and the credit goes to Carries patients and understanding of our needs .

We had an outstanding experience with UME Travel during our trip to Japan. I had no idea who I was planning travel with when I found Amy at UME travel. She was amazing. Always available and very professional. We had the best guides. All our taxis were waiting for us and the people were very kind and patient with us. Late July was very hot and humid so I would choose a different time. Amy warned me about this!! It was a very good trip

We had a great trip to Japan. The booking process was easy. All guides and drivers were on time and friendly. There was a small hiccup in the reservation for one accommodation but the response from my travel specialist (Steven Hu) was swift and he took care of the issue.

My sister and I, who are 73 and 87, looked at a lot of travel companies to help us plan our 14 days 13 nights trip to Thailand. After contacting various companies and looking at reviews, refund policies, costs, etc. we decided to use UME Travel. We knew what we wanted to see and do and decided to plan a 'tailor made itinerary'with the help of a travel advisor. We contacted UME Travel and heard back within a day from a travel advisor named Ivan. From that point on our trip was planned fast and efficiently based on what we wanted to see and do, motels we wanted to stay at, etc. Ivan was very professional, helpful, and informative and answered all of our questions and concerns. Every detail of our trip was taken care of! We had plenty of time to make any revisions and changes to our itinerary if we wanted to. When the day came to fly to Thailand we were very excited Our flight was out of Miami and that flight and 2 others after were delayed. On the third flight everyone on the plane had to deplane due to a flat tire. While entering back into the airport my sister fell and fractured her pelvis, sacrum, and a lower vertebrae in her back. Our trip to Thailand was over before it started! I contacted Ivan at UME Travel and told him what had happened. I understood and did not expect that there would be any kind of refund on our trip. He told me he and his team would contact all vendors, drivers, motels, etc. to see if anything could be done regarding any kind of reimbursement to us. Due to the circumstances of my sister falling, UME Travel was able to refund us 50% of our trip! We were so grateful for that! It was unexpected and greatly appreciated! How many travel agencies in this day and age would do that? I would highly recommend Ivan and UME Travel and Ivan for their professionalism, helpfulness, and honesty!

UME was everything a traveler could hope for. They really took care of me, provided me with updates and confirmations, were priced fairly and best of all provided me with the most wonderful guide and Driver. They really made my trip so lovely and always were patient and kind and accommodating. As a solo female traveler having this kind of confidence in a company is of monumental importance. So I thank you greatly and I'm so so very happy.

Our trip was wonderful. We loved the planning and the suggested route to get to know Japan and enjoy its culture, its food and its people.

The transportation was excellent — very clean, and the drivers were very attentive and punctual. The train tickets were perfect because we were always close to our luggage and very comfortable.

The hotels were comfortable and lovely, and the staff was very attentive to our needs at all times. The location of the hotels in each city was perfect: easy to get around, and in very nice, modern areas.

The guides were very friendly and always attentive with us. However, we feel they could have been better — they didn't know much about the history of the cities or the places we visited, and they could have offered more important cultural information. It felt like they were there mainly for company and translation.

Aside from these points, we think everything was incredible and a lovely way to spend our honeymoon getting to know another culture.

It’s our first visit to Thailand and our 5 nights in Bangkok have been smooth and interesting and so much fun with our amazing guide Kook 🥰 Carrie from Ume planned an excellent itinerary and Kook made it super special for us. Kook is bright and helpful, friendly and knows her way around, she very quickly understood the way we like to travel and the things we might like to try, including some fun Kareoke! 10/10 we would recommend Kook to be your guide. 😎
