Disappointing Support Overshadows a Promising Product

I was initially drawn to updraftplus.com product because it showed real potential. However, my experience with their support has been nothing short of frustrating. After encountering an error while trying to use the plugin, I reached out for help. Although I received an initial reply, it didn’t address the issue, and since then, I’ve been met with complete radio silence. Good support is crucial, and without it, even the best product falls flat. Save yourself the hassle—if you’re expecting reliable assistance, you might want to look elsewhere.

I've been using Updratplus Pro for 2 years and I'm absolutely thrilled. Due to a server problem with my host and my fault, I almost lost a huge WordPress site. Thanks to the perfect support, especially Nick did a fantastic job, the site was saved. The hours of work that I would otherwise have spent will make Updraft Pro a free version for the next 5 years.

The UpdraftPlus website is a maze. I have been a premium user for years and keep getting messages that i need to upgrade to premium. None of my premium options work. I run UpdraftPlus on several sites and pay for the "business level" subscription. The website keeps running me in circles. Should not be this difficult.

Perhaps one of the best small-footprint and aggressive protection tools for WordPress. Consistently maintains its toolset and keeps pace with the current threat landscape.

Quite a few years ago, I lost a site to hackers because I had no backup. You learn the hard way. Since then, I have used several brands of backup. UpdraftPlus has proven to be the easiest to use, backup, restore and even clone to move my sites to a different hosting. It has also been the most reliable of the ones that I have used. I recommend it heartily. I recently started a new site and of course, it is protected with a good backup with Updraftplus

Hey All - when i Wordpress a website there is two plugins i always go to and install - UpdraftPlus is always one.

My go to Backup plugin is UpdraftPlus

and i have gone UpdraftPlus PRO/Premium as it also offers backup(s) to my chosen clouds for example OneDrive. (others are available)

You can set the backups to run hourly daily weekly which are neat options. Daily is for me - and you can set to keep them - and auto delete them after a set time.

Updraftplus Highly Recommended

I hope this reverses my previous 1 star review. I would change it to 4.75 stars, taking .25 away only because their reply didn't reassure me my canceled subscription was still active until the end date, and I still had access to their premium support.

Otherwise, they did respond but my spam filter kept me from reading the reply. And the problem was with a setting in OneDrive, not their plug in which now works as advertised.

I regret I couldn't update the review until I fixed OneDrive. Hopefully this update, their quick response to TrustPilot Review, adds stars to their reputation. I thank TrustPilot also, for being here to help.

One of the highlights of using the UpdraftPlus plugin is that it allows users to easily identify which parts of the backup files (such as Database, Plugins, Themes, Uploads, Others) can be used for restoring on the new hosting site. A copy of these backup files is stored on the hosting site (based on the user’s preference), and all the backup split files with their respective names can be downloaded to your local system. The fantastic aspect of using UpdraftPlus plugin is that it makes the migrated website work exactly as it did on the previous hosting site. I congratulate the UpdraftPlus plugin's technical expert team for doing all the heavy lifting, allowing users to avoid the burden and complexities involved in the process, thanks to their meticulous design, development, and perfect execution of the product.

Used it for years for backup and restore on host, when infections or corrupt code occurs etc., or when switching to a new host. Never had a problem with it!

I have been a loyal Updraft customer for many years. I don't often need it, but when I do, Updraft does exactly what I need it to do.
I recently had a problem with a Wordpress update...the dreaded white screen instead of my website. And because a large file (on my backup) caused me angst when trying to restore my site, I pinged them for advice.
I can't tell you how wonderful it feels to know that if I couldn't fix an issue the Updraft team had my back!
They responded promptly and all was well. Thank you and I HIGHLY recommend Updraft Plus.

Have been using Updraft for years.

This week I was working on a new hosting control panel, which recommended to use an alternative plugin for 'migrating' my website.

I battled with it for 45 minutes, and finally gave up.

Then installed my copy of Updraft and did a backup in 3 minutes.

Installed Updraft in the new location (30 seconds) and uploaded my backup files (1 minute).

The website was migrated in about 5 minutes total.

Updraft is a well made plugin that just works.

Inherited some WP sites in an admin role, and we were accustomed to doing the database changes manually to clone to test environments. The ability to send/receive backup/restore reliably has been a real time saver. Sending to remote storage is also an impressive feature. Mostly use just to get a periodic backup.

Probably used now for 8-10 months, and very satisfied with the one-time purchase. Not using vault subscription, but this is a company I'll specifically look for if I need anything on the WP side.
