We hired a VW Nomad for a week and it was perfect! The collection process was easy and efficient and i particularly like the fact that they inspect the vehicle with you before you drive and off and they photograph any damage marks which they then send to you so they can be compared when you return it.
Great value for money and we will be using them again.

Overall ok camper van is ok but deposit payment and customer handling need to be improved
Drop off was smooth. Whoever in pick up or drop off was every kind and helping.
I was coming from Germany to explore uk with camper so after flight with full of joy and excitement I went directly to the location to pick up the van even without having lunch. When we reached there we got to know deposit should be paid over a call with lady staff. Who is not in depot. Over call she asked to share all credit card details including cvv of credit card. I have never given in my life the cvv of credit card to anyone. I belief cvv is something personal data that can’t be shared with anyone.
We restricted to share cvv to lady staff, we asked her if any unauthorized transaction happen will the company will obliged to it as we are sharing cvv of credit card to someone over a call who we don’t know also.
The question triggered her and she made us wait for 2 hrs +.
Finally we have no option we were hungry and tired and we apologized around 10 times over call to her if we asked a wrong question. That also didn’t clam down her she asked us to apologize over email and we did that too.
And we shared cvv and 1000 pound was debited from my account instead of holding for a period.
And lady staff was putting all blame on us for the things happened. All the blames we took and we apologized as we don’t have any option.
The experience with lady staff was the worst experience in my life ever. All others with company was good.
The company should take care -
1. Deposit payment should be at depot itself instead over a call.
2. Instead of debiting deposit amount it should be holding state.
3. Respect the customer

My experience could not have been better!
The van was at a reasonable price, and everything worked perfectly.
The service was great too, with a simple pick up and drop off.
I had the car for 6 nights in Cornwall and the cotswolds. I would recommend Vaaroom to all!

My partner and I rented a motorhome to…
My partner and I rented a motorhome to go away for a few days with friends. Sharon was amazing, explained everything clearly and sorted everything for me that I wanted.
The motorhome was clean and tidy, the chap doing the handover explained how it all worked before we took the van.
We had an issue with the van leaking through one of the back windows making the bed a bit wet, but that’s just something no one could foresee or prevent, so we just cleaned it up and pointed it out upon return.
My only criticism is the upto 28 days to return deposit clause, incase damage is found. The van gets checked back in and then checked back out 2 days later, so damage would of been found on the day it was returned, so I’m a bit miffed why it takes so long, it shouldn’t or need to.
But other than that, would return to rent one again

Regarding your note about the 28-day deposit hold, we completely understand your concerns, and we’d love to explain the reasoning behind this process:
Your Security and Excess Deposit is held automatically by the bank's merchant system, not by us directly. This is a standard industry practice for vehicle rentals (cars, boats, motorhomes) where the hold period is fixed at 28 days. Unfortunately, there’s no option to shorten it to 5 or 10 days—it’s an automated system set by the banks and insurers for all large-fleet providers.
The reason for the full 28 days is to allow for any delayed post-hire charges to be reported—such as speeding tickets, parking fines, campsite fees, or third-party claims, which can arrive up to two weeks or more after your rental ends. This ensures any necessary adjustments can be made before the hold expires.
In your case, since everything was returned spotless, with fuel as it was given and no damage from our side, the bank will automatically release the hold at the end of the 28 days. If we wanted to release it earlier, we'd have to formally contact your bank with a signed letterhead request, which is often a slow and costly process—one that unfortunately isn't practical for us or customers in most cases.
We know £250 can be significant and part of your monthly budget, and we absolutely respect that. We genuinely wish the process could be more flexible, but this is the framework we operate within.

Friendly and quick campervan hire
I rented a campervan for a festival from the Vaaroom branch near Harold Wood. Friendly service. Pickup and drop off were quick and easy, it drove well and all the equipment worked. As I was packing up, one of the other campers asked about the van. He liked the look of it and was thinking of getting one himself.

We had an awesome weekend camper van…
We had an awesome weekend camper van trip to Durdle Door and the Bournemouth seaside. The weather was perfect—sunny both days with amazing views all around.
The camper van was great! It had everything we needed and was super easy to use. Driving it felt just like a regular car, and it was surprisingly fuel-efficient too. Totally hassle-free and comfortable the whole way.
Overall, it was a really fun and relaxing trip. Would definitely do it again!

Best ever camper van booking
This was our first ever Camper van experience. From start to finish it was amazing from booking to handing over. This was smooth as possible. The vehicle was only one year old and had all the facilities and was clean and tidy. Ravis at the depot was very helpful in handing over the vehicle as well as Sharon from H/O was helpful in the booking. we hope to book again with them.

Wonderful time! Niki and his team are such wonderful persons! I rented a Van to do a 3days trip, and everything was so perfect! The team is super efficient, happy to help and arrange you. Excellent campervan
Vaaroom provided me an excellet campervan during my easter holidays trip this year. The van they gave me was really clean and excellent condition. It was having good offroading tyres which helps you to even camp in the wild. The vehicle was really a smooth one and easy to drive. Staff in the office and headquarters were really supportive.
