Moving into a new build...

Moving into a new build, I expected to have a few issues that needed to be rectified. Steve, the Site Manager, has been so easy to deal with and very helpful in getting the 'snags' sorted quickly. He's been on hand to check the property at a time that worked for me, coordinated all the relevant workmen to ensure any disruption was kept to a minimum and that work was completed efficiently. He made the whole process stress free, which was very welcomed! Thank you Steve.

New home move

Moving to our new Wain homes we expected some issues with it being newly built. After 2 weeks we had a sizeable list, nothing of anything of a serious nature mainly cosmetic.
From day 1 the communication from the site manager ‘Shingy’ to get the correct trade in to rectify all the issues on our snag list has been first class.
His friendly professional approach to get trades in to remedy all the faults has given us great confidence in our purchase.

Wain homes new build

We moved into our new build in December at Latune gardens. We can have been treated amazingly by the team especially the site managers, Ste and Shingy. All of our snags have been sorted straight away and nothing was too much trouble to get done. Amazing people.

Thankyou Ciara ( Customer Care - Wain Homes)

I just wanted to say a big thankyou to Ciara from Customer Care NW Wain Homes. I moved into my beautiful home in Linley Grange Stalmine mid March 2025. The experience I've had so far with Customer Services has been very good. I had a few items on my snag list which I reported to customer care with supporting pictures and Ciara has been very proactive in ensuring that the relevant personnel have been scheduled , in order to attend to the issues. Nothing seems too much trouble for Ciara, she has emailed and phoned keeping me updated. I am very impressed with Ciara's communication and organisational skills. Thankyou very much and keep up the excellent work.

Shrinkage

Paul came out to fix some shrinkage issues at our property and did an excellent job. He was friendly, approachable, and explained everything clearly. His workmanship was top quality—very professional throughout. 10/10.

BAD NEIGHBOURS

Despite never objecting to the development. Wain Homes have no respect for our adjoining property, they are allowing construction vehicles to turn on our property despite numerous requests not to and failed to maintain drainage infrastructure on the site.

Purchased a property off wainhomes at…

Purchased a property off wainhomes at waterside meadows febuary 2025,Having been informed there is a partial blockage in the fowl drain i checked our manhole and found sewage about 12" from the top of the manhole checked with neighbours and there's are also blocked. I know there have been problems with the drains being blocked with builders waste in the past,last time the drain doctors came they know where the problem is but could not gain access to the property. Contacted wainhomes customer care who informed me I would have to sort the problem out ourselves! This problem has been here since day one, feel badly let down by wainhomes as this is a ongoing problem

Great experience

Just moved in kingsley manor absolutely thrilled with the move start to finish. Ashley, Danny,Ian & rest of the team have been excellent we couldnt fault them. We are made up with the house & would 💯 % recommend them.

Wain Homes Blocked Drains

We purchased a new property at Wain Homes Waterside Meadows Hambleton in January 2025. We have had problems with blocked drains on several occasions since moving in, initially Wain Homes Customer Care were responsive in getting the blockages cleared. The drains are now blocked again and Wain Homes are saying we have to prove there is a defect with the drains at our own expense. There is obviously something wrong with them as they keep blocking. Maybe their reluctance to sort the problem on this occasion is because they have now sold all the properties on the site and Customer Care will now be less responsive to problems?
UPDATE:
Wain Homes passing my review onto regional customer care department, but it is them who are refusing to help. Also several neighbours now have the same problem and customer care are also refusing to help them.
UPDATE 16/4/26
Wain Homes customer care still refusing to rectify the issue despite raising a formal complaint procedure. Escalated to New Homes Ombudsman Service.

Really made us feel comfortable as first time buyers. Snags dealt with quickly.

This was our first home and it has been an amazing experience. I truly believe made so much simpler and more straight forward for us by the team. We mostly dealt with Thea and she is exceptional. Everyone we have dealt with has been amazing though. Some very minor snags. All sorted this week. Can't fault the service and they went above and beyond to get us in on time as well. Thankyou

Rectory Woods

I have recently completed on a property on the Rectory Woods estate. From our initial visit to Claire in the sales office when we were considering reserving our first new build, through to completing on our home 6 months later, she has been exceptional in her support. Claire has been able to answer any of our questions and has always been on hand supporting us through the process. She provided us with a really personalised service and made us feel confident in Wain Homes. Claire is an asset to rectory woods and I feel that she has had a real impact on our smooth sale.
Following this, Sean and Alex have supported us since moving into the property. They have both been extremely knowledgeable and supportive with any issues we have had, no matter how small.
Alex has regularly checked in with us and given updates. Sean is very responsive to any issues and prompt in getting a snags sorted. They are both friendly around the site and will give a wave as we drive past.
Overall, a very good service from the whole team at Rectory Woods.

Excellent build, design, style

Went to the wrong house build site, so glad we did, as bought a Horizon Wain Hawthorne home 6 months ago.
We have previously bought 3 new builds, in our view this home is of a far better quality, loved the design, style, fixtures and fittings, makes use of all the space.

The build site is very respectful of the occupants, with little or no disruption, while the build is progressing.

Darren the sales manager is very helpful, friendly, professional, if there was anything he wasn't sure of he didn't hesitate to help.

Have to give a shout out to Andy the site manager, BRILLIANT any snagging issues, Andy was on top of it, nothing to much trouble, always available, have a problem he is there sorting it.

If moving again would definitely consider buying another wain Home

Great team over at Waterside Meadows
