I first contacted Was Gathering Dust on…
I first contacted Was Gathering Dust on whats app with photos to see if my items would be of interest. I received a reply to say we will do our best for you. I sent various items of vintage and costume jewellery which included quite a few unusual brooches. I received a message after a few days to say that their valuers could not make me an offer as all of the items have been well loved and there is little resale value for them.
I have since sent them to another vintage company who have given me an offer that is very fair and said that some of the pieces will be of interest to theatrical companies.
A disappointing experience and a waste of time!

Brilliant company
This was such an easy process to follow.Got my labels in the post with a guid of what to do,collected my items up,put them in the box with my printed name etc (which they sent).Took my box to the post office.
2 days later I got a call with an offer.The offer was a lot higher than expected.I accepted and the money will be in the bank in a couple of days.
I have requested another label as I am sure I have more items to send.
Can't say how easy and straight forward this was.
I would recommend to everyone.

Quick and easy money
I found 'Was Gathering Dust' online , i rang them , I received a postage pack the next day.
I sent some old watches, rings and odd bits of broken jewellery that I had in a box under my bed.
Within a few days I was offered a surprising amount of money which was paid into my bank the same day.
I cannott recommend this company enough, they are friendly, helpful and professional.

This was so easy to do. Phoned them, and within 2 days received the label.
They came back in two days with an offer and the money was in the bank straight away.

So glad I tried Was Gathering Dust
Had previously sent my stuff to another company, but when they rang with their offer I was very disappointed and asked them to return my items. I then thought I would just try “Was Gathering Dust” and was I glad I did, I was offered nearly twice as much, which I gratefully accepted. Efficient service but very disappointing offer
Was happy with efficiency of receipt of box of jewellery that I sent to Was Gathering Dust using prepaid label. Had phone call next day and was offered only £40 for 84 items. I had enclosed some silver and amber items and a watch which I am sure were collectively worth more than £40.
Very disappointing experience, would not recommend or use again

Excellent service, easy to follow instructions through the post which included a personalised number card with my details on it to pop into the parcel which also came with a prepaid postage label . Was contacted by the lovely Angela a few days later with an offer which I accepted and the money was transferred to my bank immediately! Highly recommend.. thank you !

What a simple easy process, contacted gathering dust who sent me an information pack that included a delivery label and a card with my details , popped my items in a box took it to the post office and within a day or two got a call

Disappointing offer
I spoke to someone on the phone and was told I'd get a good price, much more than if they were sold on ebay. They quickly sent the postage pack and contacted me within a few days of me posting my box.
I sent over 50 items including lots of hallmarked jewellery, and vintage items but was only offered £25. Ridiculous! I asked for them to be returned to me which they have done.
