Shocking review and service, Massivley undervalued our property against all current market in the area, and valued it based on property in completley different areas, the Surveyor came in saying he was dealing with a complaint of a low valuation which should of been a warning sign to us. We had it valued by others since and done our own research and watched the area pricing along with 3 estate agents valuations and we have now got the price we were expecting and not to mention i am in the industry myself as a Surveyor! Warning and Avoid at all costs, they are also refusing to refund despite self assessment of there work and they still think the value they gave is right but yet as more properties have come up locally with higher rates for smaller properties,not detached they are semi's same aged, build and area properties? the mind boggles. We are now Taking this up with RICS and legal Team to take this further, for reference 160k less actual as for there reply below it’s rubbish and we are taking this as it is very very wrong stop the excuses and admit you got it wrong !!

Good survey but disappointed the surveyors never went into the loft as requested

Watsons have been an excellent choice for my Level 2 House Survey. An initial phone call from them was very useful to determine the type of survey that best suited my needs. They were able to schedule a time almost immediately. Gavin Paul carried out the survey and was thorough, approachable and detailed, explaining any issues clearly and identifying actions that could be taken. I found his advice very helpful and was grateful for the time and care he put in. The survey report was produced within a short timeframe after the visit and I am able to follow up with any questions arising from this report if I have them.

Found this company through the RICS site, we received an online quote and once we went ahead we were updated at each stage along the way. They were quick to sort a survey with the vendor and we got our report back within 24 hours of them being at the property.

Everything was explained really clearly within the report, and it has helped us understand what to expect in terms of routine maintenance too.

Joseph was extremely helpful too, making sure any concerns we had were looked at whilst the surveyor was at the property.

The company was very thorough and helped us a lot with the decision making process. The team was very contactable and helpful.

I’m moving to a new area and chose Watsons as they were the cheapest. I have been very impressed by them. My survey report was thorough and the surveyor, Mark, went above and beyond to explain his findings to me. The admin side was also very efficiently dealt with by Amber. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Ian was professional and really knowledgeable and reassured me there were no adverse findings etc.
The Report is top quality, and includes photographs of the subjects the report explores - really well written on plain English etc.

Comprehensive report which is useful in our planning

I'm one of 42 leaseholders who live in a building managed by Watsons .
We were served with an invoice for our 2026 service charge which was incorrect- after several requests and complaints ' without prejudice ' they stated , they are now sending us the correct invoices- as usual their communication and customer care us appalling.

Very pleased with this company. We have used them 2 times and both times the have given a very detailed report with photos of things flagged up .
The report is clear and easy to read.
We trust this company to do a good job.
We would recommend them.

Inaccurate valuation and poor inspection.

Unfortunately, our experience with this valuer was very disappointing.

The valuation significantly understated the value of our commercial haulage site and contained clear factual inaccuracies, including incorrect assumptions about on-site infrastructure and contamination risk. Key commercial features of the property were not properly reflected, and inappropriate comparables were relied upon.

We later obtained an independent valuation through another lender which identified the site correctly, used relevant commercial comparables, and produced a substantially higher and more credible valuation.

Despite being provided with evidence and detailed feedback, the original valuation was not revised. This caused unnecessary delays and complications in our lending process and money spent to the air..

Based on our experience, we would recommend extreme caution when relying on this valuer for commercial or mixed-use properties.

Clear, detailed report. Highlighted the key merits of and concerns over the property in an easy-to-read form, and the surveyor was happy to talk further over the phone.
