This a third rate firm of Charlatans and grifters who collude with the corrupt uk judicial system and it's even more corrupt free mason police institutions. These grifters tried to extort 13k out of me - giving me an hour to pay it or they would oppose me getting due process in bringing the fascist criminal gangster Sussex Crawley police to account for assault, unlawful arrest, and unlawful imprisonment. This outfit needs closing down and putting out of business for good! They are totally unscrupulous criminals.

In my experience, Weightmans is a firm that cares deeply about achieving a successful outcome for me. They are also pleasant to deal with.

Firms of solicitors are of course made of the people that work in them. So, to taint the entire company would be unfair.

However, we had the misfortune of dealing with Damian Carter and Jessica Kraja of the Manchester office for a number of years, whilst they represented Andrew Pilley; he's now in prison serving a 13-year stretch for fraud - Google what he did.

It is our complaint that Damian Carter was (allegedly) involved in the concealment of evidence, data breaches and generally misleading the court. This is a complaint which has been made to the Solicitors Regulatory Authority and the High Court - the outcome pending.

Reports of the conduct complained of have been reported to the Head of Regulation and Data Controller at Weightmans, but I am afraid, there does seem to be (on the face of it) more of an interest covering up Damian Carter's (alleged) misconduct and the embarrassment of Weightmans representing Andrew Pilley - rather than dealing with the legitimate concerns raised.

Ultimately, Carter and Kraja will be taken to task through Contempt proceedings in the High Court, and the SRA and ICO have been made aware.

Make of this review what you will - but Google is also you friend :)

Very poor experience, with Katy, she barely did any work, I did most of it, however she charged us for it and dealt with things we told her not to. She always answered every email I sent with another irrelevant question just to make extra money. Would not recommend Katy!

Its not difficult to see why this company is rated so poorly on trust pilot, they sent me some confidential documents relating to the mental health of a woman I dont even know, in my opinion a serous act of data breach which I now have to spend my time reporting , stay well clear is my advice, just like all the other reviews here.

They do listen and try to accommodate the client with the necessary advice. At the beginning I was extremely unhappy though as I felt I was not listened but they resolved the problem: called me back, emailed me useful links and gave me much more extended advice which I needed.

Just received a treating letter from this company (They dont threaten me) on behalf of One Housing lies . Ill be dealing with One Housing by visiting their office Monday. They say that i missed a Gas Saftey appointment LIES BY One Housing. I sat in monday waiting & for the 4th time no one turned up. I had already contacted One Housing & asked for the so called Manager HEALY to call me asap.I have tried every day as when I get through Im told she is in a meeting & in fact was told she would call me after that.You guessed it no call back. Then i spoke to someone wednesday saying that the monday appointment was not confirmed.Lies again. Healy the so called manager had called me the week before booking it in ( Ill be requesting copy of phone call to prove it was booked by her) Then after emailing One Housing amd leaving more messages for Healy to call me to book this in. I get a letter of this company .Firstly be very careful who you are threathing .I will be phoning you monday too phone call will be recorded for legal reasons. At no point have I been in the wrong & infact Im the victim of One Housing lies. I will do a video of this letter to expose this & I willbe taking legal action against One Housing & Weightmans for emotional distress caused by all this. After reading the reviews about this company I can see why One Housing used them. As i said,be very careful of you send threating letters too unless you know the facts. I have been a tenant of ONE HOUSING over 30 years & I run the street team and tenant forum to protect tenants & now you can see why.Healy So called One Housing manager Shame on You

Excellent solicitors who really made me feel at ease and provided excellent advice

This firm’s medical negligence area is not recommended. I have put the following to the complaints partner and escalated to the senior partner, who have failed to investigate my concerns, which as I have said are in the public interest.

1) Systemic issues in the medical negligence department

In short, I’m a cancer sufferer with a medical negligence claim against QE Hospital Birmingham, who are their clients. The issue I have with this firm is about lack of responsiveness to basic emails, lack of progression of my case, failure to respond to emails requesting a basic level of information, which their clients have already agreed to provide, the information when provided is too vague to assure me the case is being progressed, and there is failure to conduct a basic level of competence in managing cases such as mine in particular to ensure all medical records are collected up front.

2) Failure to collect medical records in good time

Medical records can take upwards of 3-6 months to obtain from SARs so a failure to get them up front and then to request different records at intervals can drag a case out for years. This firm will request medical records in dribs and drabs continually esp at points where they are asked for updates on where the case is. This has happened previously with another Associate at this firm so it’s not a one off incident.

3) Dragging out cases such as mine to enrich the firm at the expense of the tax payer

Moreover, the medical negligence department drags out cases such as mine exponentially in order to increase their fees notably as regards medical records but also in continually delaying matters. This is well documented by me. I have put this to James Holman, the complaints partner, and David Lewis, the firm’s senior partner, but neither has investigated my allegations, instead hiding behind the fact that they owe me no duty of care (which I’m not even sure is true and put to them citing Ombudsman wording… no response). Not only is this fobbing off and lazy, it indicates to me that they know my claims to be true. Whether I be a direct client or not is irrelevant since these publicly funded cases and wasting public funds, is clearly in the public interest and protected under the Public Disclosure Act 1998, under which I’m writing this review. If I don’t see any traction I’ll continue to escalate to my MP and the relevant government departments.

Shame on this firm.

This firm appear to have recently claimed their profile on Trustpilot. Would it not be useful then for them to respond to some of the reviews as per the SRA recommendations? I suspect they will ignore them like they do everything else. Too cosy a relationship with their guardian body, the SRA, to worry about their reputation.

Sham solictors do not reply to emails I have also asked for thier complaints procedure and they will not send it.
After seeing these other reviews I think its time to warn people what this company is about. They where defending council enviroment services that damaged my car. Delt with by a Laura Armand. who asked the bin man if he damaged my car ! guess what he said no !

With a bit of luck the firm, and various members of staff and partners will be subject to criminal proceedings for theft and fraud, and hopefully struck off by the Solicitors’ Regulation Authority.

Terrible solicitors Jonathan Shankland was rude offensive and obnoxious, send me a really rude follow-up email, these young Trainee solicitors who are barely out of school seem to believe they know it all! This firm should be avoided more experienced mature solicitors would be better. Genuine review based in a legitimate experience! Should be more trained to deal with enquiries and not take personal sides .

Awful knowledge of the law in respect of police complaints and the bringing of Judicial Reviews. Belinda Moore proclaims to be a specialist but her advice to Sussex police is now to be referred to the SRA.

I acted as a litigant in person throughout proceedings. Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust was represented by a solicitor from Weightmans, Ms Melanie Isherwood. Ms Isherwood deliberately manipulated court directions and Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) to obtain advantage and prevent a fair process from taking place. By adopting a creative litigation strategy and developing an array of procedural tactics plagued by misconduct and fraud Ms Isherwood ensured due process did not happen. Ms Isherwood’s dishonesty and misconduct made it impossible for there to be a fair trial.

An expert report changed: 5 new pages were added at the end that were fundamentally different to the original report. What was extraordinary was that the expert did not know his report had been updated. His original report was not damaging to my claim, the additions were and made legal argument. There is no person who could have tampered with the report other than Ms Isherwood.

Ms Isherwood’s lies became so frequent that it got to the point nothing she said could be believed, from her falsely informing the court she was on holiday to obtain favourable time extensions, to her informing the Information Commissioner’s Office that she had sent me documents that she hadn’t…Ms Isherwood’s lies became routine.

Unusually for a complex, long running claim of this nature, Ms Isherwood did not direct a team of juniors but acted solely on her own. I believe this was a deliberate step taken by Ms Isherwood to eliminate the natural checks and balances of peer review and accountability.

Weightmans takes millions of pounds of public money to defend the NHS against legitimate patient claims and the public has the right to trust this is done properly and with due process. With the increasing number of claimants acting for themselves, it is essential corporate legal firms act properly and do not take advantage of the situation. I requested Ms Isherwood’s professional regulator, the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), carry out an investigation into Ms Isherwood’s conduct as a matter of public interest. However, on hearing of my complaint, Weightmans responded in an exceptionally heavy handed and aggressive manner. Instead, of allowing due process to proceed and an investigation to take place in the public interest, they did everything possible to prevent any investigation at all. In a spectacularly devious twist, they presented the judgement as their ‘evidence’ of Ms Isherwood’s probity, when this ‘evidence‘ had been obtained by a corrupted process and dishonesty by Ms Isherwood herself. Predictably, Weightmans’ aggression persuaded the SRA not to investigate.

Ms Isherwood has escaped prison and Weightmans has seen its multi-million-pound contracts with the Government renewed.

I agree with "unsavoury experience" I would add unprincipled. I have already been threatened with libel so something is being hidden!

Incompetent, negligent and dishonest. Ms Deborah Sullivan has lied to the Court about her appointment a month after closing her file on 21 September. Is there no limit to the deceit of these people?

Roberts experience in his review 27 August is exactly like mine. Weightmans adopt an aggressive manipulative and downright untruthful attitude especially to litigants in person. It is pointless to report them to SRA as they act for SRA and SIF. They are totally unethical and bend every rule in the book or ignore them knowingly in my case.

I have caught them lying and cheating and expect to bring this to court in due course probably to face more lies and deceit as Robert did. No doubt the SRA will support these sharks as they always do. In fact firms act like this as they know they will never be brought to account.
