WIFI SPARK Very poor service in the Lee Valley…
Very poor service in the Lee Valley Springfield area.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Customer service amounts to - one lady who must be the 'team' leader/manager, who is as helpful as possible and very professional - but it always begins with "turn your device on and off" (Thank you, I have tried already 10 times but still the dreaded 'looking for networks' line taunts me)
- And then there is a certain young man whom I have had the displeasure of dealing with twice now.
He ranges from downright rude to just passive aggressive, patronising, dismissive and unhelpful in his manner.
I was told he would be retrained after the last incredible *customer service fail* incident along with sincere apologies from his boss in her follow up to my complaint.
This was a year ago now -
A CUSTOMER SERVICE POSITION MAY NOT BE FOR THIS YOUNG MAN - I feel, quite strongly.
No one can hear you scream when you can't connect to the network, right?
Could it get worse? Hardly!
Awful service.
Premium WiFi LoL
I am a long time hospital patient and this company take advantage of people who are ill , all I wanted to do was watch football , Netflix or Amazon Prime , so I paid for their ' Premium WifI ' How they have the nerve to call it it this God Knows , on the hospital website it says the premium wifi average is 3Mbs , the most I ever got was 0.74Mbs , which is no good for streaming the services I wanted , I sent them 3 emails in 7 days complaining and they didn't even have the decency to answer any . I hope some day they're stuck in a hospital bed and have to use their service , in the end I purchased a mobile WiFi with a SIM card and boom it's fantastic , I am getting a minimum of 60Mbs , what's the bets WiFi Spark doesn't even respond to this either , probably because they don't care about their customers .
You have to know what you're talking about to write a review...
A lot of these reviews post negatively about Wifi Spark due to the broadband connectivity speeds, but Wifi Spark aren't an ISP, it's providers like BT etc that are. They just do the actual access to that internet, making it look pretty with a nice page for their business customer to increase their exposure.
The company has changed a lot since it started - I used them about 10 years ago in a museum and it was perfect. They now all over hospitals and are phasing out the pay to use model apparently, as seen in the news when they bought Hospedia - they provide those big machines above beds that you have to pay for telly..
I have never had an issue, they have a 24/7 supportline and now with this new plan they seem to be doing, I am really pleased to see they're making a difference. I will definitely use their services, hopefully I won't be in hospital many more times though!
If I could rate 0 stars I would have
If I could rate 0 stars I would have. They guarantee (only) 6MBPS maximum speed, but in reality it's a 0.07mbps download speed. Upload speeds vary from 0.00 to 0.10 mbps. It's hard to believe anyone could provide such a poor service, until I experienced Wifi Spark.
Totally useless
Totally useless. Why MDL marinas have contracted these imbeciles to provide the wi-fi for their marinas is beyond comprehension. Never works, no technical support and guaranteed frustration. MDL need to ditch wi-fi squib & sort out the wi-fi facilities we are promised with a bona fide operator immediately.
Most disgraceful service ever
I’ve bought so called NHS Premium WiFi at Norwich Part Hospital. They say it’s perfect for streaming TV and movie downloads.
That premium crap has a bandwidth around 0.5 - 1.8 Mbps with constant interruptions and zero bandwidth during 3 hours in the morning. I’ve paid wifi for 24 hours and it cost me £8.25
Btw they cut me internet 40 minutes earlier than expected.
If I could leave zero stars
If I could leave zero stars, I would. This is, without a doubt, the absolute worst paid for internet service I have ever had inflicted upon me. I'm in hospital in a really poor reception area so thought I'd try this. Truly appalling. Massive delays between doing anything whilst it checks your intended web address against its database of censored sites. Too slow for Netflix or catchup TV.
Most of youtube is blocked. All youtube comments are blocked. The google search is so heavily censored that I actually thought google was broken.
Seriously, don't waste your money. It's absolutely useless.
How do this people sleep at night
How does this people sleep at night , charging money to the NHS for a very poor internet service , if you get to a hospital after 8am you are not able to get a connection, and when you do it’s extremely slow and keeps breaking up , surely the NHS don’t put a cap on how many people can get connected to the WiFi
Terrible WiFi
Staying at a holiday park in Sussex. The park boasts free WiFi however it is atrocious. It is provided by WiFi Sparks and is a complete waste of time, you can't always connect to it, if you do it isn't strong enough to do much. Sometimes it will connect but only for a few minutes, the connection then drops and you have to try and login again. If you're going to be staying anywhere that claims it has WiFi and it is provided by this firm then buy extra data bundles for your phone instead. That's what we've had to do for our teenagers this week. This review was posted using data on my phone as the WiFi couldn't manage it.
On holiday at Ross park near Torquay…
On holiday at Ross park near Torquay Devon, the site is fantastic BUT the wifi is managed by an outside company called wifispark.com. The connection is awful. Their is ample hotspots around the site but the connection keeps dropping, this is constant not just now and then.If you come to this site you will enjoy it but as i say the internet is AWFUL.
