My eye was caught in a popup on Google by what looked like a stylish dress. I checked the website and admittedly there were no details of the composition of the material (which should perhaps have been a red flag) but I liked the colour and style so went ahead (£40 allegedly reduced from over £100 for clearance).
I cannot say that the garment is unwearable, but it was a very poor fit (the mock wrapover at waist was so shallow that the neckline gaped immodestly) and the material was a poly/cotton mix (mainly polyester) which might have been acceptable had it not been so flimsy. I emailed the company politely explaining these defects and asking for details of how to return for a refund.
In response I got an apparently 'caring' email from someone called Emily, but the essence, as in the other reviews, is that you are likely to incur large shipping costs (how is that the customer's responsibility?) and offering either another garment or a 15% refund.
I'm just grateful that I only laid out £40!

I checked the website and this offers 'easy returns' which are 'hassle-free'. I have emailed the company to point out that the process they describe does not comply with the representations on their website and that I now realise that they have very poor reviews (which I wish I had read earlier). The impression given by the website is very far from the reality but I think they have probably stopped short of making representations which would be actionable at law (and I really can't be bothered to waste my time with this).
I shall be giving the item to charity and will await my refund - but I'm not optimistic. I've also informed them that I do not give permission for my data to be used.

I wish I had visited Trust Pilot before being from Wilson and Carter as they are a totally fraudulent outfit. The products are almost not related to the photos in terms of quality and also material, and their returns policy is a total con - most returns cost over $50 to ship back which in most cases is more than the product cost. DO NOT USE THEM.

The worst company ever, I wish I read the reviews before I ordered, I lost my money not aloud to return at all, no full refund 40% only, no cot genuine company its dodgy. Don't order please even very cheap materials not as advertised, not recommended %

CHINESE SCAMMERS - AVOID!!!!

I ordered a dress for a wedding. When it arrived, after a considerable amount of time, I discovered it stuffed into a small ziplock bag and totally wrinkled. I took it out and it was just awful, cheap tat, and certainly NOT as described on their website. It was also not the same colour and miles too big. As other negative reviewers have reported, they advised they’d refund me 15% of my order. I rejected this nonsense as I want every penny back. They advised I’d have to pay $50 to return it before I could receive a full refund. I told them to get lost and pushed & pushed, threatening to report them to the ombudsman and leave negative reviews. They ended up offering 20%, then 30%, then 40% 😂😂 Hilarious. I told them I would accept nothing less than 100% and ended up raising a dispute with my bank for a full refund, as I have plenty of evidence to back-up my claim.
Before this shoddy piece of crap arrived, I had placed another order for three more items. Two of them are ‘acceptable’ but very cheap material and a bit crappy, yet the shoes are not as described and seem to be made of some sort of plastic material that stinks like a ‘factory’.
These Chinese ‘sweatshop’ owners are masquerading as a London-based tailors 😂 and send emails created using AI that are always signed by EMILY PARKER (okay then 🙄) and I feel quite nauseous that I’ve spent money in support of a sham outfit that probably exploits children. It’s shocking that they’re allowed to trade in the UK and I’m in the process of reporting them to everyone I can think of.
Scams, fake goods, child exploitation… you name it, it’s going on and it needs to stop. Please do not purchase from these BRAINLESS CHARLATANS!!!!

This company misrepresents themselves as being based in the UK. This is false. They are actually based in China or the US - not sure exactly where. They also say that returns are easy when in fact the cost of return is often a lot more than the cost of the item purchased. This is a scam. Then they try to offer you a refund of 10% to go away.

So disappointed. The dress I received didn’t match the one in their advert. The material was a glossy polyester which looked cheap and nasty.

Unfortunately this is more of the same reviews you see online. Chinese company parading as a London based business. Returning a pair of shorts would cost over 50usd to China (non starter) and the size and quality is nothing like advertised.

Chargeback is the only option after returning several emails with their customer service.

I’ve had the same experience with this company as every other dissatisfied customer on here: a cheap, synthetic product advertised, in my case, as a “premium” shirt made “from high-quality material”; delivery from overseas and not from London as the misleading website branding appears to suggest; return costs quoted of more than I paid for the shirt when a return was sought; and offers of discounts never followed through on when a complaint had been raised.

My credit card company has reimbursed the money I paid to this company via the chargeback process, but l strongly advise anybody else to give it a very wide berth if you’re reading these reviews before placing an order, which I wish I’d have done.
Please also note that this company uses other web addresses with different permutations of Wilson and Carter in the URL/domain name.

It took forever for them to arrive but well worth the wait. A pair of sunglasses and they are beautiful and well made

This company need closing down. The dress I ordered and was cheap tat not at all what was described. They do everything to try to avoid giving you a refund and then try to charge you shipping costs.

I ordered a short sleeved shirt described as linen material in excess of £20. The delay in receiving the shirt suggested it came from China & it was 100% polyester. I think they can turn these out for £5 or less - wish I had read these reviews first.

Do not buy from this company. The quality is terrible and when asking for a return/refund they will do anything to get out of giving you one. So many emails back and forth and not getting anywhere. STAY AWAY its a complete scam and should be reported.

Terrible, I ordered a what looked like a lovely pale green chiffon dress, it was awful the material is cheap horrible shiny, it looks nothing like the picture at all, forget customer service you get the same message back like it's on a reel, I cannot bother to send it back it will cost more than the item, I'll give it to charity and they will probably use it for rag, I have taken a loss of £49. Which I cannot afford, they are nothing but ROBBER'S DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! WARNING!!

I am waiting for a return as never received the shoes.
Relay has said the responsibility gir refund is the company so far no response.

I ordered dress, and read the reviews the following day. Messaged them straight away to cancel the order. Received a lengthy email from somebody called Emily, exploring the reasons why I would like to cancel. I explained that I had read their reviews and they were clearly based abroad.

They sent the order regardless and of course, it wasn’t as expected. Totally different fabric and that dress is just awful. The item arrived in a used recycled bag, talk about 10 days to deliver. I then requested an immediate refund, the best I can offer 40%, which I haven’t accepted. I’m now dealing with my bank to claim this money back through my card. I would avoid this company at all cost.

Please avoid! My wife ordered me 2 pairs of shorts! They looked nothing like the picture on their website and the fit was horrendous.
Tried to return them multiple times with no success.

Do not purchase from this company.

No returns information with product have to email customer service, UK ad states 30 day money back guarantee . After lengthy emails where the offer is to replace items despite you stating wish to return, returns can only be shipped back to our international warehouse typical cost 30$ to 50$ despite offering to replace for small shipping and processing fee 6USD and you keep original item. Finally offer 30℅ refund to original payment or 100℅ store credit, 'Most customers prefer one of these options due to shipping costs 30$ to 50$'.

If I could give zero stars I would!

Placed an order for 3 dresses in size 8/10 (S), got them, tried on and found them too big. I emailed their customer service team explaining the problem and asked for a refund. They attempted to resolve the issue by offering to send replacements free of charge in the size I needed so as to not incur the return shipping fees of $30-$50 per item ??!!!
So I had a look on their website and they do not have a smaller size than 8/10(S). I explained as they do not have a suitable replacement option I'd like a refund.

They got back to me suggesting I choose another style that better suits my size and fit.
I will not be going back and forth with this, have asked twice for a refund and will not be paying the extortionate shipping fees to post it back to them.

Have raised a chargeback with my card issuer.

There should be a zero starts option.
Beware- returns are NOT simple- they are expensive as must be sent to China. It took 18 emails back and forth for them to even provide the address to return to. That isnt a typo- 18 emails with an AI bot. Appalling. Endlessly offering an exchange instead or partial refund.
