Excellent service, shed delivered on time even though it was one of the hottest days in June. Callum and Tom were undeterred and completed the installation of our new shed. The shed is a very good standard and we are happy with the product. Callum and Tom worked well together and made a good team.

Ordered a shed. When it eventually arrived the team had not got all the parts and left the panels in my garden. I had dismantled my old shed in preparation and stored the contents under a tarpaulin on my lawn. It was 2 more weeks before a new team arrived to erect it; you would think that this should have been a priority due to their mistake. In addition this team left off-cuts and packaging in my garden for me to dispose off.

We visited the A&J Sectional Buildings show site on Finedon Road in April just to look around. A perfect size ex-display 10x6 pent shed just happened to be sitting there at the entrance. After seeing the quality of the item (tongue and groove floor and roof, and a decent lock and handles to start with) I bought it there and then at a decent discount over a new shed. I say ex-display. There were just a few scuff marks here and there, otherwise it was brand new in my eyes.

An installation date was set, and I had to prepare the ground for the shed. It turned out I could not get it done in time, and a simple call to the company moved the date back a week to allow me time to complete the base.

The installers (employees of the company I believe, not sub-contractors) arrived and installed the shed in the place I requested. In fact they suggested a slight move to ensure I could get around the back easily, and that front of the shed was in line with an existing brick wall. All very helpful. I noted that the shed sections were put together using screws and not nails, which means easy dismantling if required.

On their departure, I realised the keys were missing. Once again, a simple call to the company had them arrange a visit to fit a new lock. Unfortunately, the lock was a different size, and so rather than hack the door about to fit the new lock, they arranged for a completely new door to be fitted! Now that's customer service for you.

Overall, the level of service I received from A&J Sectional Buildings was above and beyond what most other companies would have provided. I have a solid new shed, in the right place with a decent 15-20 year felt roof (forgot to mention the decent roof covering), a new door, and a lock and keys. I'm happy.

(the negative reviews I read must be either for a different company, or due to the attitude taken by the customer when trying to resolve an issue with their shed. I was polite and understanding throughout my interactions with customer services, and they were polite and understanding in return. I did not have any issues contacting the company, and their responses were always quick and helpful)

I would heartily recommend A&J Sectional Buildings for that new shed you are thinking about.

Roof started leaking after 18 months. Emailed "aftercare" and got no reply. Phoned on three occasions and got answerphone and no call back.
No wonder they only offer 12 months guarantee!

11.4.2025. I ordered a shed through one of their agents.
6.5.2025. Email received asking for full payment before delivery.
13.5.2025. Shed delivered with lock & handles not fitted, we were told another crew will return to fit the said equipment.
23.5.2025. Agreed date to have the lock fitted. The guy came and said he couldn't fit the lock becuse he may split the wood and left. After attempts to communicate with phone failed I sent an email to A&J Sectional building to ask for another appointment ASAP.
28.5.2025. Not heard from the company, tied to called several times (no answer and no return calls) and eventually emailed them to ask for an update.
29.5.2025. Called again without success. 14:40 - received an email to say they are still sorting it out due to a large'backlog' (of something unspecified).
4.6.2025. 09:19. Text received offering another appointment 25.6.2025. (6 weeks after delivery) - with a threat that if I don't 'confirm' no one will turn up!
This is poor and inefficient service, especially it is something that can be sorted out easily. I will never use this company again, or let them come anywhere near my shed.

I ordered a shed with a painted finish, which at the time was offered as a special offer included in the price.

The delivery was speedy and efficient, the shed generally well built but I immediately thought that the paint finish looked thin.

Before a year has passed, I was seeing the paint starting to crack and peel in places.

I've employed a friend to repaint it and, as he's rubbing it down he's actually peeling off sections of paint from the wood. So, it appears they've not primed or undercoated the wood properly. If so, that's really shoddy workmanship. Basically not fit for purpose. My friend btw is an experienced painter so he knows what he's talking about.

Incidentally, the top coat is Sadolin, a quality product which says it's guaranteed 5 years. If it's properly applied. There's no way this is. I suspect they've sprayed this straight onto a wood surface without primer. Alternatively, they may have sprayed onto wood that's been treated with a preservative, so the paint hasn't absorbed into the wood.

Either way, it shouldn't be possible to peel paint off of wood.

I wouldn't rate this as in anyway acceptable.

Love our new shed. The company looked after us from the sale right through to the delivery. Everyone we dealt with was very polite & professional. Steve and Shane who delivered were fantastic. Would highly recommend buying direct from A+J Sectional Buildings Ltd.

Ordered a summerhouse and previously a shed. Excellent customer service. Easy options to pay. Summerhouse arrived at 7:50 in the morning, done and dusted by 8:30. I would recommend AJ, first class company!

We were recommended A and J Sectional and also followed their good reviews. Unfortunately we had a very different experience and one we would not want anyone else to have. The service up to the fitting was good however after specifically stating that they would need to park in the car park and carry 30 metres down a solid footpath (and having this written on our contract and confirmed to me on the phone) this did not happen. Due to health and safety it was important as we are a children’s day nursery and the footpath is used by children all day. After carrying equipment for the first few minutes, the driver then decided to drive down the children’s footpath with millimeters to spare either side damaging our wooden edging and displacing the concrete edging from the path causing hundreds of pounds worth of damage. Not only this but the driver can be seen on CCTV noticing the damage and drying to disguise it before fitting the shed and driving off. On the more insignificant side the shed was left unable to lock as the door doesn’t fit properly. I contacted the A and J team who responded immediately that they would follow up and be in touch whilst requesting a quote for the damage. I did just this and attached all our CCTV footage and heard nothing until I was told they would take no responsibility apart from the wooden edging damage which they would return to fix – there was not even an apology. I explained how serious this was to us considering the Health and Safety issues along with the considerable concrete damage and I have heard nothing. I have chased up and told someone would be in touch but this was two weeks ago. The initial damage was caused a month ago. I have not even had a phone call to discuss this issue. Considering the amount of money spent on this shed I wish we had never used A and J as we are left with a complete mess of a situation. Waiting for four weeks for at the very least a phone call to discuss how we proceed is astounding especially considering the CCTV footage.

Seamless process from ordering to delivery/assembly. On the build day, Steve and Chris arrived on time, were very polite, friendly and skilled in assembly. We are very pleased with our purchase - hope its good looks last!

Purchased potting shed + small shed at a very competitive price. This included both delivery and installation on site. The whole process was a good example of a seamless process of purchase, ongoing communication, agreed on installation date, call on the day (one hour notice from installers), quick and very professional installation. I would not hesitate to recommend this company and if looking for any further buildings would look here first.
