Firstly, AWLT is a fantastic trusted retailer that quite often beats all other online stores in terms of price and reliability.

However. I ordered my Dremel multi tool and AWLT was by far the cheapest for that model which inc the 3-piece setup, the process of setting up an account and the whole process of buying from them is ultra quick and simple, I received multiple emails about the purchase and I waited for the tracking details...

OH DEAR....

This is where AWLT went south, They DONT offer any form of tracking with whoever they send your product with or I certainly haven't received the details and I've bought using my wife's account in the past and never received a tracking number.

THIS NEEDS SORTING! almost everyone who buys online needs to know where the items they buy from online retailers is, Due to this and only knowing that its going to be the next working day I cant leave the house in case it comes and I'm out, both my next door neighbors wont be in either...

I, like many others would rather pay a few quid more to get a better postage service.

Come on guys get up to speed with your posting services please.

A really, really helpful toolstore. Over a year after I bought a dremel multi-tool, I found a fault with one of the batteries, and I couldn't even access my emailed invoice. Within a few minutes they gave me the contact details to make my warranty claim, and forwarded me a copy of my invoice. Wowzer! Thank you to Alan Wadkins toolstore.

Poor service. We ordered a small hand tool (£80)without battery and charger near 2 weeks ago and it's not turned up so I search my email for the tracking number and find a 2 emails from them asking for almost £12 more postage but there website states free UK shipping on orders over £75. Very unreliable service and if you need tools quickly and live in Scotland I would look elsewhere.

Submitted an order, credit card payment taken off my card. But they cancelled the order as the address was different due to a house move. Having changed the address on the card refuse to process the order as they suspect me of scamming them !!!
Not worth the effort of trying to deal with them. Already found the same item much cheaper on line and the service proved better. Emails from Aidan who offered to do nothing to sort out other than suggesting bacs when they have already taken my payment on card!

Have now placed several orders for Milwaukee tools with this company.
Delivery is prompt and clearly tracked.
Prices are competitive and they have a varied selection of goods. Also very knowledgeable if you call with a technical query.

I had ordered a pole chain saw from them which arrived pre-assembled by them which was great. Due to personal circumstances, I was not able to test the saw until a few weeks after delivery. Sadly, there was something wrong with the saw. But the customer service was really quick in responding and I could return the saw for a full refund (as they didn't have a replacement in stock) without any problems. I would happily buy from them again.

Great experience. Got through to an advisor straight away who was really helpful. Timed next day actually came when it should! Was worth paying £10 more for a reliable company.

Absolutely brilliant customer service, professionalism and quality. Come across by accident surfing the Web looking for a milwaukee nail gun, not only had one in stock but very competitivly priced. Ordered Thursday afternoon and delivered within 24 hours. Plenty of communication and invoices. Had a questioned which was answered by email within an hour. Great customer service.
I ordered the wrong item (which arrived next day as promised) and had to return it. Within 24hrs of me returning the item, they had already issued my full refund. I would have no reservations about using Alan Wadkins again in the future.

Very mixed reviews for this site. I didn’t check the reviews before I purchased my Makita extractor but luckily I have so far had a 5 star experience. Cheapest online and arrived the next day. Hopefully I don’t need to use there customer service in the future as the reviews on that aren’t very good!

Shambolic Customer Service !!!!

I have used this company since I started my business 8 years ago, recommended them to others and spent thousands with them.
On the 19/03/21 in the middle of a job my grinder was working one min and nothing the next. Honestly, it could not of broke at a worst time. I was just round the corner from this company and as I had purchased the grinder from them, I took it back.
I explained the situation I was in and I ask if they could just take a quick look to see if it was just dust on the electrics or if it was finished, I was happy to pay for the inspection.
I understand everyone's busy and there's a cue but i was in the middle of a job asking for a 2min inspection.
The lad was not interested. Refused to even call out the lad who repairs them. I all but begged him.
He was having none of it, but he was happy to sell me a new grinder.
I left the shop £160+ down.
I took the grinder apart over the weekend and it was just a bit of dust.
Appalling customer service, I pity customers who buy over the internet and have issues.

I Will not be going back to this shop anytime soon !!!!

I brought 1st fix and 2nd fix makita nail guns but due to change in the work I had to return them. I haven’t used them and on the return they said there are signs of use and they retained £20 for that.
Think carefully before you buy if something goes wrong and need to return they will find an excuse to hold some money.

Ordered a set of Sealey 12v tools at 1:30pm on Friday, free delivery was set for Monday which was great but even better it turned up at 10:30am on sat the next day with DPD so I knew when it was arriving.

Good price and quick delivery, can't fault really.

Purchased a Makita table saw. £410. Got sent out a rusty scratched old one. Rang them and arranged collection, then ordered one from elsewhere.
A week later wondering where my refund is i ring them. I was told the saw I sent back was not the saw they sent out! Would cost me £30 to get the second hand one back to me and only when they receive the saw they sent out would I get my refund.
I was told the bloke in the warehouse checks all stock before it goes out so no idea why I was sent an old one. Clearly couldn’t have checked it that well.
Never been so angry in my life! Got my money back in the end but avoid this useless place.
