Purchased a Makita 9" Grinder from here, intended as a no hassle reliable option. The guard fitting was not well aligned and the blade was hitting the guard. Sent it back for refund. Refund declined as they said I had fitted the blade wrongly, and that is virtually impossible. the original fault is a design flaw with the Makita, but Toolstore would not give a full refund withheld £15 for carriage and told me I was lucky they were not charging for the guard as well.
A disgraceful approach to customer service for a high ticket item.
I will not be a customer again and do not recommend others to go either.
Having read Toolstore's comment it merely confirms the fact that Makita are above reproach with them and the customer is always wrong. If the tool guard was properly designed it would not be possible to fit it out of line. The new unit I have purchased has no such issues.

Ordered a lawnmower + batteries only to find it not in stock. However Toolstore immediately emailed us about this, giving us the choice of cancelling or waiting 7-10 days. Opted to wait as deal was good. After 10days I emailed and was answered immediately saying the item was on its way. It duly arrived and is very good.
You don’t mind waiting if kept informed, so I was impressed and would definitely use Toolstore again.

Terrible customer service, "Computer Says No" to correcting details on the invoice

I ordered a Dremel 8220 on Tuesday night at 10pm and received the goods on Thursday afternoon. Fantastic Service and Great communication throughout the ordering and delivery process from the supplier.
I would definitely order again, the price was also very competitive.

Ordered drill and turned up after a short delay. Received text from company to inform us of the delay - appreciate that.
Good price and checked it's the most updated version of the power drill (the star products of Makita drill and batteries).

Will use this company again via Amazon, certainly.

Disgraceful customer service. I purchased a Milwaukee wet and dry vac that never turned up at the agreed argos collection point and they expected me to track it down and trace it. Absolute shambles and would never order anything from these people again.

I had to contact on many occasions to get an issue with a Milwaukee drill resolved they would only help me to get it repaired under the 3 year warranty it was sold with, after I said I would take them to court. Mike the owner was not helpful but eventually it was fully restored by Milwaukee FOC . By this time I had already replaced the drill with an Hitachi. Poor after sales service by both companies.

I have just purchased a Makita long reach hedge cutter from Alan Watkins and I cannot speak highly enough of their efficiency and service. I only placed my order online at 3pm and the item was delivered the following day at 11.30am well packaged with full instructions and having been pdi'd before it was dispatched . I would certainly use this firm again and would highly recommend them to family and friends.

Purchased a new sds drill over the Xmas period. Came the next day with very informative texts and emails advising of delivery. Well packaged and a great price! Fantastic!

Sorry to rain on your parade regarding the good reviews but the reply I just received after 2 emails, first one being in June stating return item which I bought in June from one of their associates and had rechargeable batteries in dated 2013! Now they expect me to return the item, at my expense, I find this disgusting and will see them next year at the Trade Fair, Event City where I will make it known how they do business.
