Never ever book through this site. Hired a car through alpha car hire brisbane airport and double charged, paid through booking.com then when arrived to collect car they said payment has not been marked as recieved have to pay us, now neither party want to refund or credit and even going as far to ask for personal details when we have provided all necessary documentation and proof they just close the case. Turned a $400 hire into over $800 if you are looking to hire a car through booking.com unless you are saving more than half what it is going to cost you anywhere else please save yourself heartache and DO NOT BOOK!! Will never use this site or Alpha car hire again

Lovely staff especially Cathy was super helpful. Allowed me to extend time easy drop off easy pick up could not have gone smoother.

I had a great experience and found that Vanessa in the Brisbane office very helpful in making adjustments to my booking after I accidentally book the wrong return time. Great service and support by the staff, very clean car and easy return.

The staff were excellent highgen of car perfect all in all amazing and understanding staff can not fault thank U.

Communicating with them is excellent. They always answer my query. They are easy to negotiate with… They’re straightforward and fast…

RIP OFF ALERT! I booked and paid fo my car through a third party clearly stating pick up Brisbane and drop off Gold Coast. When I arrived to pick up I was told they wouldn't release it until I paid a relocation fee. Wife and family waiting in the depot away from the airport so they had me. Should've smelt a rat when we heard a guy arguing when he brought his car back when they said the fuel gauge didn't look full even though he said he'd just filled it locally....guess what? Same was said to me on return even though I'd filled it right up just before. Managed to claim fee back from 3rd party eventually but too much hassle. Do yourself a favour....avoid Alpha Rental

Over all Alpha did tick all the boxes for me.

I gave 3 stars instead of 2 because of the low rental price which is hard to ignore. I just want people to be aware of what can catch them out.
Specifically renters need to be aware that their admin/service/ extra fees are higher than mainstream competitors (check to compare t&c's) and should you get in an accident - they have a accident admin fee if $250 on top of the excess.

Also be aware that the damage cover exclusions include things like hail, tyre, window, rims damage, overhead damage, underbody damage, reversing damage (reverse into a car) and more.....these are NOT covered under the liability coverage. A lot of this stuff applies to other low cost car-hire companies so just keep that in mind.

Best ever service and economy for car hire

Hired a car from Gold coast location, had a reversing accident, accepted responsibility. However, came to pay the excess and apparently the excess doesnt cover you for reversing accidents and in fact when you read the small print, it doesnt cover you for much. In my opinion unethical and when I debated the amount of time it was off road to get it fixed (another $1080 at $45 pd for a new bumper and boot door) they were very rude and basically bullied me in their email responses. Unfriendly, unhelpful, unethical. READ THE SMALL PRINT. Make sure you have your own insurance.

Cannot fault my experience. Highly recommend this company. I will use them again without hesitation!

Easy car pick up and drop off

But car drop off early morning was ok but no shuttle or taxi available for airport drop off so no good at all. the location is pretty bad and isolated for early morning taxi availability.

Prompt and fast shuttle service to well located depot. Easy and courteous pick up and drop off. Great, well presented vehicle. Timely and appropriate reminders were sent regarding vehicle return. Excellent value for money. Will definitely rent from Alpha again. Thank you!

Easy check in and out, questions were answered well, plenty of information provided. Shuttle drivers and check in/out team were awesome, very friendly and accommodating.
