Carl Roberts from the Cardiff branch turn up today to complete wall insulation to my home, he was very polite and knowledgeable, he answered all my questions and done a very good job, no mess was left behind, would definitely recommend A&M big thumbs up 👍🏻

The guys that did the loft insulation were on time, polite and they didn't did not make a mess at all, will recommend them to other EDF customers I know

This supplier and installer has made our house and life a misery.
They didn’t do a proper report of whether our property would benefit cavity wall insulation. After installing the issues of mould in every room never stopped and even with their interventions they couldn’t resolve the problems. I wanted the insulation taken out and be compensated for our loss and inconvenience not to mention the health issues caused to my children.
They said they would only remove the insulation from the walls and no compensation. But guess what I’m still going at them to remove the insulation.
So many emails sent to them that they have simply ignored.
I’m looking now to take them to court.

Have had our attic insulation upgraded by A&M and the advice given to initial enquiries and the subsequent survey convinced me to place the Order with A&M. The wait time was reasonable,

Yesterday the team Lee and Nial arrived. They were on time, well organised and both friendly and helpful. Superb job completed too!

A&M were responsive, efficient and polite. The estimate was provided very quickly and they completed the work exactly as planned.

Honestly I wouldnt trust this company due to the absolute ignorance and dangerous driving of one of its members of staff driving their company van (LJ73 HGC) my friend and I was in the car with our new born babies driving at the speed limit of 50mph when we had this vehicle up the back of us at a dangerous speed making us feel the need to go over the speed limit. The driver was putting his finger up and over took us on a busy road which nearly caused us to have a collision . The vehicle who ended up getting nowhere any quicker was then beside us at a traffic light where he shouted racial abuse. Avoid this company. The workman ship if anything like their manners and driving will be poor.

I am very disappointed in the clerical staff employed by A&M and following inaccurate incorrect results of the surveyor. Instead of an apology for mixing up his report I was told to go elsewhere. A very unprofessional company.

At a cost of over £4K, I had a new CWI installed by A&M about 10 days ago. I must say that I absolutely have not felt any difference before and after the new CWI, certainly not the kind of difference I was promised. So now I can't help but feel that maybe the new CWI was unnecessary in the first place and this whole thing a waste of money!
I moved in a property recently, the EPC report recommended CWI because they assumed no CWI based on the age of the property but they didn’t do an invasive test to confirm. The old lady who sold us the house couldn't confirm either way. So I called A&M in to do a survey and give me a quote. After drilling a hole, the A&M surveyor told me that there was in fact CWI but it was rubbish (e.g., lots of holes which would create cold patches and damp, etc) and should be removed and replaced with a new CWI. I was quoted £3700 for both (removal & refill), which I accepted.
Then the extraction guys came to remove the old CWI. Turned out that the A&M surveyor got the insulator type wrong. Instead of a few hours I was originally told, it would take 2-3 days to remove the old CWI and the charge would be several hundreds more. After some further persuasion (with the same assertion of how rubbish old CWI was and how wonderful the new CWI would be), I agreed with a new price and gave the go ahead.
As the extraction went on, I started to google about CWI. One thing I learned was that CWI once installed is supposed to last for the life of the house. If this is indeed the normal expectation, how can they claim the old CWI was rubbish? I don’t expect the previous owner would use a rubbish CWI installer, in fact I have reasons to expect the opposite. Another thing I learned was that in total there are only 3-4 types of insulators, and they physically look and feel differently, so much so that I, a complete novice, would be able to tell the difference straightaway. How then a so-called professional surveyor got it wrong!? The next thing I started to wonder was that, if it’s taking them so much trouble to extract the old CWI, the old CWI shouldn’t be as flimsy and rubbish as they had put it, should it? But of course, once started, there is no going back. So my hope was that the new CWI would make a discernible difference. Alas, it doesn’t.
The new CWI was installed a week after the old CWI was removed. It was a quick job, less than two hours. The A&M CWI installers left me with a bill with the original price which I paid on the day. Just as I thought they’d forgotten about the £500 extra, 10 days later I got another bill for the full new price.
I must say that all the workmen I met during the project were superb. I can’t say the same for the surveyor though. First, he was late for our appointment. Secondly, he got the old CWI type wrong. Thirdly, it was him that gave me the impression that my old CWI needed removal and replacement. He left me with what’s supposed to be a survey report with dozens of check boxes and questions to fill/answer, but other than my name, address and the price, the report was blank. I was with him the whole time, I didn’t see him taking any physical measurement. Yet, when the installer came, he showed me the report now fully completed. I wonder how? Either the guy was so experienced that with a quick glance he would know all answers to the survey questions; or the form was filled in with pure gut feeling. Given that he didn’t even get the CWI type correct, I know which one I believe was the case.
I’m not accusing A&M (the company) of anything, but here is the main lesson I’ve learned and wish to share with people who are considering CWI: Don’t trust the so-called professionals no matter how friendly, reasonable and sincere they look and sound – do your own bloody homework or else don’t blame anyone else. I’ve paid over four grand to learn the lesson for CWI, there will be other lessons (e.g., solar panels, heat pumps, etc) I fear I may end up paying because impartial and truly useful advices are so scarce and too generic and because it’s in the gene of any commercial company to make money however they can.
Fingers crossed, a future generation CWI installer won’t tell me that my new CWI is rubbish and needs replacing. I won’t be as easily persuaded anyway.

After a pair of employees came round for a few hours measuring what seemed every inch of our house we were informed that we could have the government granted loft insulation but we would have to pay £600 for 2 extractor fans, so reluctantly we agreed, I fitted one of the fans myself which cost about £20 but didnt have the tools to fit the other so had their sub contracted company fit that one, they had to come back after they fitted it as it was awful and even after their return still looks dreadful, so now having two new extractors (which we never wanted) in our house they returned to inform us our windows weren't correct so would need to change multiple very large windows to be suitable for the loft insulation (which we aren't going to do) so to sum up.......after major mistakes on their end telling our house was suitable when it wasn't, getting two extractor fans installed which we never wanted and has made our home colder......we still have no loft insulation!! Probably best to avoid this company!

This company is brilliant, the survey was quick and thorough the rep explaining the process in simple and friendly manner.
As for the work, Luke the installer was very polite and hard working he did a great job.
I recommended all my friends to get InTouch with the company to insulate Thier homes.

Good initial survey,very thorough and by someone who had a background of installing cavity wall insulation.
Guys told me exactly what they were doing each day and how it was progressing.The extraction took longer than expected but they cut no corners and extracted it all.Installation very thorough and clean up very good.

What a useless company to deal with after waiting 2 months from survey for Wall cavity insulation they turn up and installer tells me surveyor is useless and my house has solid brick walls with no cavity even though another company who surveyed previous to these agreed to do work but I decided to go with these cowboys instead waste of time stay clear

The company sent an insulation specialist who was extremely professional, kind, good at listening and at providing advice. Despite the fact that he couldn't do anything for my house, the gentleman was constantly trying to go beyond selling A&M's own products and provided impartial and relevant insulation advice, which I found was testament of their professionalism and honesty. That echoes the many positive recommendations they receive.

I would definitely recommend this Company. From the surveyor who was our first point of contact, to the telephone staff, and lastly to the installer, everyone was amazing.

I live in a no cold calling zone, which was ignored, told the seller and that i did not do business with cold callers. He came again when i was out, my doorbell captured him, today he returned for the 3rd time. its galling that the feels he can keep turning up and think that's OK. if this is the contempt they have at the door i hate to think how poor the company is. And now they want more information....what more is there to say? I have no desire to be contacted by these people, i didn't want them in the first place. Reaching out after the fact is meaningless, try getting it right the first second or third time......

DO NOT USE the Southampton branch, had gentlemen round to to do unrestricted survey for cavity wall insulation & was given a quote which clearly showed he had full access as he stated about, smoke detectors & suspended floors etc on the inside, also stated about 14 openings (i.e. windows & doors etc) & that they would need access to neighbours garden to insulate the extention (so clearly had full access to outside of property as well). Price was agreed & on date of installation, they suddendly announced there was some blockage in the cavitys & they wanted another £900 on top of agreed price.
Upon pointing out that their survey sheet clearly showed that their surveyor had 'ticked' the section that read 'have all walls been checked for suitability' they argued over several emails & phone calls that the surveyor didnt have full access to the property, then i eventually got a letter saying they were cancelling the contract because i wouldnt agree to their 'extra charges".
I have reported them to trading standards & i am looking to take them to court for their breach of contract.
Footnote, head office couldnt even bother to the 3 emails that i sent them about it either, so its clear that their 'business tactics' are indicative throughout the whole business/all branches.
