Excellent service. Fast international shipping. Website layout is easy to follow and very helpful. Parts fitment and confirmation of availability provides peace of mind. Prices are competitive (the USA tarriffs are different) and they are very reliable. Often the source of truth when searching for obscure parts numbers for my JDM car. It has quickly becoming my go to site to order parts that I cannot find here in the USA.

Fantastic experience, cheaper to order direct from Japan than ordering off local sites, used them again for rebuilding the rear suspension on a RAV 4.

I ordered parts for my Mitsubishi Pajero. Their site is easy to navigate, just enter your VIN and the correct parts are being shown. The pricing is very reasonable and the delivery is fast. Will certainly buy from them again.

Good service, messages were answered immediately. The package was well packaged. The delivery time was long, but it was completely accurate.

It took one month to obtain some parts that were already locally available. The availability of the parts were only manually verified after placing the order, so the information on the product page on whether the part is available or out of production does not reflect the true situation, causing even more delays. Shipping extremely expensive even for small parts again sourced within two adjacent prefectures. I recommend using other websites such as Monotaro and have the parts delivered within a couple of days, with a quarter of the shipping costs charged by Amayama.

Amayama has consistently been my go-to source for genuine JDM parts, especially for Honda vehicles. Their pricing is reasonable, parts availability is excellent, and the ordering process is straightforward. Delivery has always been reliable, accurate, and generally very fast.

A special mention goes to Ms. Rainar, whose responsiveness, professionalism, and willingness to assist with parts inquiries have made every transaction smooth and hassle-free. Her support has been greatly appreciated over the years.

Im more than happy with the ordere products from amayama.com from their warehouse in Ibaraki Osaka Japan.
Customer service is solid as wel as their packaging and start to finish with delivery.

A few downsides where that they had a few products listed as "in stock" while there whas none, but in my opinion that could happen, and im totally fine with the way they handled it, some had replacement parts and some not.

And the package whas on hold at the dutch customs because they needed to revieuw that the steel products werent made of Russian steel, but that also whas handled rather quickly than slow.

But after al its my first experiance ordering products outside of the EU and first time ordering from amayama but i probably will be a returnimg customer.

I've been a huge proponent of Amayama in the past, to such a degree that you can even find an older review of mine praising this company for having affordable parts that are often difficult to acquire locally.

Sadly, over the last few months I have completely reversed my opinion. I have made an attempt to place an order for some parts 4 times now (over the span of the last few months) and every time Amayama would "assess" my order and magically my price would increase to double that of the estimate on order.
When I reach out to them to question this, all I am told is that they had to "adjust" the shipping fee so that the items fit. Every single time they have changed the courier to a more expensive one and frankly I don't understand what needs "calculating" considering that the items I have ordered have volumetric weight that is already known when i place the order.
This just comes across as extremely scammy and has put a sour note on me using them as a business, when they can just pull magical numbers out of their hat without any proper justification.

After posting this review I had a back-and-forth with Amayama staff, and I want to update it to reflect that.
Etienne took the time to explain the pricing. The shipping costs shown on the website are estimates pulled from each courier's API, but these often aren't accurate and have to be recalculated once the exact dimensions and weight of the packed parcel are known. They also reiterated that Amayama charge shipping at cost, so they don't profit on it, and that if the final shipping fee comes in lower than what was quoted, the difference is refunded after the parcel ships. They've since flagged my profile to always quote the cheapest available method, and resolved my immediate issue.
I appreciate the explanation, and I accept that some of this may genuinely be outside their control.
That said, the core frustration that prompted this review still stands. As a customer, it's a poor experience to place an order at one price and then be told the real cost is roughly double once shipping is "reassessed." In my case the estimate showed UPS as cheapest, but the order came back switched to DHL Express at a far higher rate. It's hard to view the initial estimate as meaningful when it can move that drastically, especially since the volumetric weight and dimensions of each item are already listed on the site. I'm told the courier APIs may factor in things beyond volumetric weight, which I understand, but it leaves the customer-facing estimate feeling unreliable, particularly on multi-item orders.
Overall: I'm bumping this from 1 star to 2. The team was responsive and transparent once I raised the issue, which counts for something. But until the quoted estimates are closer to what you actually end up paying, I can't recommend ordering without bracing for the price to climb significantly after checkout.

I had a very disappointing experience with Amayama. I ordered parts for my Mitsubishi Pajero V98W based on the correct part numbers, but the parts I received were not the ones that matched those numbers.

After discovering the mistake, I contacted customer support and requested that they send the correct parts while I returned the incorrect items. Unfortunately, my concerns were not properly addressed, and no reasonable solution was offered. As a result, I was left with expensive parts that I could not use and had to bear a significant financial loss.

What is most frustrating is the lack of accountability and customer support when an error occurs. When customers provide the correct part numbers, they should be able to trust that the parts supplied will match those specifications. If a mistake is made, the company should work with the customer to resolve the issue fairly.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Amayama. Buyers should carefully consider the risks, especially when ordering costly vehicle parts internationally.

I had a very frustrating experience with this company. I ordered a spare part and waited two weeks for delivery, only to be told one day before the scheduled arrival that the item was out of stock at their supplier. What makes this particularly disappointing is that they confirmed the part’s availability at the time of purchase, having taken hours to do so before accepting my order. Waiting two weeks only to have the order cancelled at the absolute last minute is unacceptable service. I would suggest improving your inventory management systems to ensure customers aren't misled regarding availability.
