Please, please tell me you're reading this review BEFORE you make a purchase through Appliancentre.

My experience exactly mirrors the majority of one-star ratings on this site.

Long story short. You will likely not get your goods or a refund.

Here's how it went down for me.

Placed order - received email confirmation with delivery date (no alarm bells raised)
Delivery date came and went (slightly concerned)
Called and was told it was tomorrow (mmm. okay)
Called the next day when goods still not delivered and was shouted at on the phone. I mean SHOUTED at. I didn't even get to ask any questions before the phone was slammed down on me (not having this)
Called again - same thing (oh no you didn't)
Called again - shouted that I was issued a refund and emailed as such. Was about to ask when I would receive the refund and the phone was slammed down on me again (now Googling how to report fraudulent companies to the Trading Standards)
Called again and asked why I was being shouted at and asked for the representatives name. Sam, apparently. Asked for surname, and was hung up on again. (is this a wind up?!)
Called for the final time (I'm tenacious) to which point my call was not taken. Left a voicemail for the 'customer service' team then called my bank to report the transaction.

If you value your money (and sanity) DO. NOT. USE.

Bob was great and kept me informed ref arrival and clearly showed me the problem that he resolved, happy days excellent

Incredibly rude customer service & item not delivered. In line with many of the reviews here, I ordered a washer dryer, it didnt arrive on the specified date & customer services kept saying it was not delivered from the supplier despite the website saying it would be delievered in 3-5 days. Customer services agreed to cancel my order but I had to call several times to get an email confirmation of it. He also hung up on me several times. Very odd indeed & I think as others have guessed this could be a sham business. Yet to receive my refund...

The technician was knowledgeable and polite. Unfortunately, the invoice was never sent to me, despite calling customer service.

This company does not deliver goods..Awful not refund the money.Dont use

Still waiting for it 3 weeks later - no update no indication whether ir is still coming… just a request for feedback on my purchase: so far an expensive nothing. Will be asking for refund soon.

One month on and I have not received my dishwasher. Customer services are very difficult to get hold of. First attempt, item damage, replacement ordered. Second attempt no delivery due to accepted error that led to the delivery not being confirmed and the item being allocated to someone else. Promised refund of installation fee, has not happened to date. Third attempt, no idea what happened today. Could not get hold of anyone. Going to raise an issue with PayPal. Save yourself the stress and buy elsewhere. UPDATE: tried to get an explanation for the third failed delivery and customer services simply said they would cancel the order. PayPal give retailers 10 days to respond, they did not so the refund was made by PayPal. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Very quick and communicative. Fixed by Bob and am a very happy customer!

Hade a issue with my fridge freezer where there fridge was at 10oC but the freezer was fine at -20

He came in had a Quick Look and said I need to re gas it and it may or not work 50/50.

What was strange was if it was a gas leak then the freezer would not work either, and if there was a leak then simply re gassing it and not addressing the core issue was not going to fix it.

A quick YouTube check shows what the issue could be and nothing was checked.

Got the impression he was not really interested in solving the issue and it was a waste of money.

Ordered item never arrived on specified day. Struggling to speak to anyone on the phone. Having been on hold for 25min eventually speak to someone who then just cancels the order as they didn't have it in stock after all.
Two weeks later still waiting for the refund. Extreme poor customer service.

Still waiting for my refund. Its been over three weeks since they messed up my order. I was told by Sam my refund will take 5-10 working days to process. Trying call the store no answer. This retail outlet is a waste of time. Its a shit show, Wish i read the review before i purchase my washing machine.

I ordered a coffee machine from this company on 25 July 2025. The delivery was scheduled twice but never happened. On 6 August I cancelled my order and asked for a refund. Instead of returning my money, they sent me a useless credit note.
Since then, I have called and emailed them many times. Every time they promised, “you will get your money by the end of the day” – but weeks later, I still have not received a single penny back.
This company is dishonest and unreliable. They take your money, fail to deliver, and then refuse to refund you. Customer service is completely unhelpful and full of empty promises.
Do not trust this company. Stay away!

Avoid avoid avoid - absolute scammers

Had an engineer visit in May who charged £102. Despite multiple calls and emails there has been no follow up.

They now claim to have lost all reference to the job due to a system wipe out and hung up on me when I called today. Unhelpful an unpleasant

No delivery. I was told because of IT issues. Fair enough I thought.
Rebooked. Still no delivery or contact.
Just realised my order was made 6 weeks ago

ordered online, no one showed up for delivery. called their customer service, the guy was incredibly rude and hung up. called again and was told they were cancelling my order. it's been three weeks no refund, they won't respond to emails and everytime my call connects they hang up

Do not buy anything from this company, they should not be trading, it is a total sham, I wish I saw these reviews before ordering. Ordered a washing machine on due date of delivery no one turned up, rang the company and was told it would not be delivered on that date, the guy was incredibly rude said he would give me refund and slammed the phone down, despite several calls and emails I have received no refund!!

Prompt service and excellent work

The worst customer service I’ve experienced. I ordered a hob and paid for it to be fitted. Their online system sent me an email explaining that it would be delivered on July 31. I took time off work to wait for the delivery. The appliance centre never sent the hob, I called them several times and kept being told that they are waiting for the correct item to be delivered to them before they can deliver to me. I haven’t been able to cook any hot food for over a week. On my last call they told me that the Hob was on its way to their center and they would contact me when it arrives and I should continue to wait, when I called again the staff were dismissive and told me if it doesn’t arrive I should ask for a refund. It’s now 7 days after the original delivery date. I have still not received the items I ordered. I do appreciate that sometimes things go wrong , but being kind to customers does not cost anything I was made to feel like I was at fault for calling the appliance centre for updates, when they could have been more proactive in explaining the delay and offering me a realistic timeframe for when I could expect the appliance and engineer to fit it. If you need an appliance use a more reliable supplier.
