This company is a scam
This company is a scam. My washer stopped during the wash cycle and would not restart. After several hours of troubleshooting, the technician determined that the motherboard needed to be replaced because the machine was not receiving the required safety signal, which was preventing the wash cycle from running.
I asked whether replacing the motherboard would resolve the issue and restore normal operation. The technician was confident that it would. Based on that assurance, I authorized the repair and made a payment of $711.00, representing 70% of the total cost. I was advised that the remaining balance would be due once the washer was successfully repaired during the follow-up visit.
The replacement motherboard arrived promptly, and I received a call the following day to schedule a second service visit.
Two technicians attended the appointment. After approximately 20 minutes, I was informed that the washer was operating again, so I went to inspect the machine. Unfortunately, within seconds, the washer stopped once more. I never got washer fixed. Not a penny refund either.
This company is a scam—do not use them
This company is a scam—do not use them. They charged my elderly father $1,649.93 for a part that only costs $180, and they never even returned with the part.
Samsung ice maker repair.
Samsung ice maker repair.
The first time the repair man came he wanted us to pay up front for the service and an outrangeously priced part we didn't have yet. We paid the service call and half of the part and nothing had been fixed. So they had to come back. During this time I read all the negative reviews and figured we would be scammed as well. We went to another service dealer and was told the price of the part was outrageous. When he came back we told him we didn't want service and we wanted a refund for the part. We were surprised that we got our refund two days later. The service man was nice about it even though I got slightly nasty with him. Maybe they are starting to improve customer relations but they also need to improve pricing
Our four-year-old Samsung refrigerator…
Our four-year-old Samsung refrigerator stopped making ice, so we contacted this company for help. A technician arrived, quoted $265 for labour, and assured us he would diagnose and repair the issue.
Instead, he spent roughly 20 minutes connecting what appeared to be basic diagnostic devices, took several personal calls, and responded dismissively when we asked whether he was actually addressing the problem. He dismantled parts of the refrigerator, asked to use our vacuum, and then claimed we needed an ice-maker and defroster assembly—without providing a clear explanation or contacting his company to confirm the parts or pricing.
He later quoted approximately $400 for parts, insisted on debit payment rather than credit, and required us to pay $530 upfront, with another $230 still owing after installation. No repair was completed during the visit.
The pricing, communication, and diagnostic process were deeply concerning and appeared completely unprofessional. We felt pressured into paying for a service that produced no actual repair or convincing diagnosis. We will be reporting this experience to the Better Business Bureau and investigating further.
Consumers should be extremely cautious before allowing this company into their homes. Get everything in writing, demand an itemized quote, and do not feel pressured to pay on the spot.
DECEITFUL BUSINESS PRACTICE/ SCAM OPERATION.
I called this company to have a look at my subzero refrigerator for beeping sounds coming from the freezer compartment. Service technician came late and told me he was going to check the fridge. After 5 mins he said he needs to service the fridge to diagnose and fix problem. After 25 mins , he could not fix the issue as discussed and informed me that they will need to order parts to fix the problem. He charged $320 plus tax for just servicing which did not fix problem as claimed. Furthermore he now demanded $2500 plus tax to replace gasket, switch control and defroster.

How is this company still allowed to do…
How is this company still allowed to do business despite all the negative reviews? I was scammed by this company, so please stay away and do not be the next victim.
SCAM
Please Please Please! Read the reviews of this company, not only on Google but also the Better Business Bureau, and any website. Hundreds and hundreds of BAD and SCAM type reviews can't be wrong or fake. I won't tell my long and tedius battle with this comany and how its tried to scam me then try to use a collection agency to scare me. Please just find another company.
I called The A Team Appliance Repair…
I called The A Team Appliance Repair for service on my Electrolux dryer that was losing heating intermittently. The booking agent was very clear: it would be $80 + tax, which included the diagnosis and a report. Any actual repairs (labor + parts) would be separate. I booked based on that information.
A technicians arrived 2–3 hours later. They stayed for 45 minutes, inspected the dryer, and told me it needs an ignition assembly at the price of $581 and labour $200. He then said the diagnosis fee was $280 + tax (or a total of $280 + tax for the visit), claiming the $80 was only a "booking fee" for showing up. This directly contradicted what the booking person had told me.
I paid the $280 + tax to avoid further hassle and threats of collection. They don't have an HST number on the invoice but collected HST.
Con Artists
These guys are professional con artists. What was supposed to be an $80 service call plus parts. It ended up being a $327.00 service call and no parts. The parts were an additional $600. Then they wouldn't take a credit card. Cash or debit only. I told them to get lost. I will replace the dryer before I put another $600 into the old one. Let this be a lesson. Don't buy LG appliances. Very limited service companies that can service LG
Never use this company
Never use this company. I wish I had read the online reviews. I was stupid enough to book them. They charged me $320 for "cleaning and servicing" my broken dryer and then said it would be another $500 to make it work. They are thieves.
ATeam Appliance rip-off
Service tech, very nice and friendly.
KitcheAid dishwasher was overflowing water on kitchen floor. He said he checked everything after turning the water supply on and said it was fine but he strongly recommended that a diagnostic test be performed for $280 + tax. (service call for $80 was waived) Completed test in five minutes and said unit was working fine, no problem. 3 days later there was water all over the floor again. WE DID NOT USE THE DISHWASHER ONCE.
Turned off the water supply and called another service company to fix properly. I would not use ATeam ever again. Big ripoff for diagnostics
Terrible company
Terrible company. It’s a scam right off the start They didn’t even put things back properly on the washing machine spring clamp left off. DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE IN YOUR HOME.
If I could give zero stars
If I could give zero stars, I would. They rip you off. The claim to put the $80 visit towards a repair but instead they charge you $330 and then tell you that you need an ADDITIONAL $1000 part. They talk circles around that though. They don’t make themselves clear. They first pretend to $327 is a part of the thousand then when you ask again they say oh but you already paid $327. These people are scammers. I don’t know how they’re highly recommended on here. That must be their family who are now having dinner on the money I just paid them and they didn’t fix anything at all... Don’t waste your money. Call someone reputable instead. Incidentally, I looked up the part. He said my washing machine needs and it’s $292, not $1000 like they want.
SCAM ALERT!!
They work with diagnostic fee trap concept.
1. Charge $80 to attend
2. Quote $260 for labour once inside - more than 3x the dispatch fee
3. Customer is trapped: Say no and lose $80 for nothing, or say yes and pay $260 plus part (which turns out to be inflated)
do not use..... it's a scam.
A scam.... 80$. becomes 280$. they tell you you need a part.... which is way over priced... I check with another company.... look at the rating. I can't recommend this company...
I would buy new.... it not worth the hassle....
This company is a big CHEAT
This company is a big, big, big SCAM. I called this company for a Microwave problem. I was told the service visit would be $ 80.00 to come and identify the problem.
If I agreed then the $80.00 charge would be waived if I went ahead with the repair.
I was then told that there would be a$180.00 fee for the service fee . That service fee would be to service the Microwave. I was asked to sign for that $180.00 fee.
The technician was not qualified and was putting the blame on many other issues. There was no problem with the Door Switch.
I was then informed that the microwave had to be taken to their lab and there was a problem with the Circuit Board and the Safety System. He did state that the cost of repair would be determined by the lab. In the next moment he told me that there was a problem with the Inverter Board , Relay and Fuse and Door latch. This cost for the Inverter Board , Relay and Fuse and Door latch would be $ 305.49.
So totally I would have to pay Service fee of $180.00 plus $305.49.
I told the technician that this is ridiculous $ 485.49 plus tax.
I told him to leave having to pay $ 203.40( 180.00 plus tax)
This company is totally bogus and the law should go after these companies for cheating customers
THE A TEAM ALLIANCE REPAIR TEAM IS A SCAM/JOKE
Too long to explain now. I will come back and update long and short complete scam company. Technicians were good but customer service and management horrible ...never dealt with such a company. Appliance Repair came to my home June 17th. I agreed to their to their $80 fee to visit and $280 diagnostic fee ($80 was deducted after I agreed to diagnostic) to try and repair my dishwasher. After the diagostics they advised it would be $1,777.33 to fix and would be 5-7 biz days as they had to order 2 parts to fix. I agreed and paid $1,000.00 via e-transfer (like another reviewer mentioned they do not take VISA) They installed parts and dishwasher still not working. This is when the drama went on for 3 months. In the end dishwasher was not fixed by them, they held no responsibility and flat out said they would give no compensation Sept 1. Again too long a story will update later I was out $720.00.....tell your friends do not use this company!!!!!
I called for a service tech to check my fridge what scammers…
I called for a service tech to check what was wrong with my fridge not freezing the ice box, quoted $80 service fee ,tech arrived and within 15 mns told me I needed a new compressor quoted $1553.07 demanded Cash or Debit gave him $900 debit , he phone ordered a compressor, later I noticed the fridge was working correctly, phoned to cancell the compressor , told I would be charged $240 labour plus other charges and would only refund $428.64 .I refused and will take them to Small Claims court . What scammers should go to court for Fraud.
These people charged us way too much…
These people charged us way too much for a diagnostic and then wouldn't return the money. Criminals.
SCAM Company
Called this company in June and they say the service fee was $80, all of a sudden when he gets here, it $250. He claims it was the control sensor and it would run over $700. I refused as I told him I could get a new stove for not much more than that. He offered a 10% discount. I said no. My bill was almost $300. These guys are a SCAM. Had another technician in from a different company. There was no issues with the control sensor. A couple of clips needed to be changed and the service technician showed me that the rep from the A TEAM clearly cut a wire on the back of my oven. Likely, when I told him to put the cover back on the stove and can leave. The only form of payment they take is ETRANSFER and they are set up for auto deposit. Don’t call them. They are a big scam and are in the business to rip people off, not to help you.
