Fast delivery of quality merchandise
I went on a cruise to Antarctica, and the store on the ship had the hats and gaiters with penguins. I hesitated, and they sold out of the hats, but I got a gaiter. Once home, I searched the internet to see if I could find the hat, and lo and behold, here's Arctic Edge with exactly the hat I was wanting. They shipped it right out, and it was in my hands and on my head in no time at all. Well done!

Buying for the 3rd time
This is not my first experience with the brand, this time I bought more beanies for my family and friends. The quality is amazing nothing better for cold, wet weather. And I love all Moomin, Snufkin, Little My patterns so I recommend it for warmth and beauty of design

Brilliant hats!
I have lived in my Svalbard hat and love it. I was gutted when I managed to shrink it by putting it in the wash. So I ordered a replacement and needed it quite quickly for a weekend of mountaineering in the Cairngorms. Yann went out of his way to help and sure enough it arrived in time. These hats are brilliant. It kept me warm in minus 10 degrees at the top of the mountains. This hat reminds me of so many happy memories of our family holiday in Svalbard so each time I wear it, I remember this very special trip. Thank you Yann.

Been to Svalbard a couple times for ski…
Been to Svalbard a couple times for ski trips. Had picked up a couple of their hats while there. Hats are super warm, comfortable and durable. While not inexpensive, they are worth the money and I purchased 3 hats from the Moomin collection as gifts...in this order... which the recipients are very happy with!

Nice but Big tariffs later
I purchased two hats and they both came in are very nice. One of them has a lot of loose fibers that have to all be trimmed off and I’m hoping don’t affect the hat after it’s worn multiple times. I’m not sure why they were so different as it was the same style in two colors, but one of them definitely has a lot of odd pieces that had to be trimmed down.
The bummer of the whole deal is that I was not able to accurately assess the tariffs on the products prior to purchase. I will acknowledge it is probably my issue for not digging deep through the website to do the math. I do not believe they were hidden from me, but upon doing the Matt they were about 28.5% of the purchase. It’s a pretty hefty uplift that you’re forced to pay because of recent events, and I’m not sure who to blame on this, but it’s my fault for not realizing how much it is. We’re all happy to get 25% off but when you buy something and then get a 28% uplift charge it’s a lot.
After seeing a response, I went back to the website and tried to re-purchase the items and look at the tariffs in the shipping where it says I will find them at checkout. All I got was a shipping charge and I noticed that tariffs would be applied later. So I’m still not sure if you know how to calculate tariffs on the website, but I can tell you that they’re gonna be about 28% of your purchase

We’ve tried to make it as clear as possible for our US customers, using localised pages and notices, that import duties and local taxes are likely to apply on delivery. We’re sorry if this wasn’t clear enough in your case.
Our shipping page explains that these charges are typically in the region of ~25% of the order value based on past experience.
For your shipment, the amount charged by FedEx came to just under 27%, which is in line with that estimate. These fees are assessed by US customs and the courier, and unfortunately aren’t something we control.
Regarding the loose fibres: our beanies are made from a natural merino / possum / silk blend. Possum fibres naturally “bloom” over time and during the manufacturing wash-and-dry process, which can make one beanie appear slightly fuzzier than another, this is normal and part of what gives the garment its exceptional softness.
That said, if you feel one of the items may be defective, please do reach out to us directly and we’ll be happy to take a closer look.
