Bus failed to show and no refund

I booked their 757 bus to Luton airport. The ticket shows clearly the time it will arrive. The bus didn't arrive. I demanded a refund. They said the time on the ticket is incorrect and so they won't refund. THEY SOLD ME THE TICKET!! How is it my fault that the time you said the bus would be there is not when it was there?? What a deplorable company. I will issue a chargeback from my bank and will suggest you do the same to this vile company.

Rubbish company

I extended my left arm to call the bus, requesting it stop and pick me up it drove straight past. After complaining to arriva they responded by lying about myself calling the the bus.
They said l didn't put my arm and was no at the curb. I was approximately 2/3 steps back from the curb yes. But was clearly visible, if the driver was looking.
Lying is not an acceptable response to a legitimate complaint.
Appalling company Appallingly disrespectful.

Arriva Wrexham has the worst app and bus service ever. I’d give it 0.

The app never, ever works properly. It sends you back a page on its own, which makes it a nightmare to buy a ticket. You end up with about ten tickets in your basket.

Some days it won’t let you buy a ticket, just says card failed. You try to see what time a bus is coming and the page changes on its own.

I’ve been complaining about this app for at least two years and nothing has been done, so I don’t expect it to change now.

The app is rubbish, just like the bus service. The buses never arrive at the stop in time in Wrexham. They always leave Wrexham bus station late, the drivers stand around smoking, drinking coffee and having a laugh. I was on the Chester bus and the bus driver did the masturbation hand signal to a car driver.

When a bus says it will leave at say, 11.50, it’s always 11.55 or 12 when it leaves the bus station. All round terrible service.

Predatory, soulless corporation destroying my property and my health

Several months ago, the 315 bus decided to start using my driveway access as a bus stop. Within weeks, the vibrations of the idling vehicle started causing large cracks across my bathroom wall. These are rapidly worsening. The vibrations also cause my radiators to rattle, which is torture, because it’s twice an hour from around 6 am until the evening.

People now use my private property as a bus stop. I bear the brunt of their antisocial behaviour such as littering and interfering with my private property.

I have a life-threatening illness, so have low resilience to the problems being caused by Arriva. I raised a complaint with Transport UK who evidently manages Arriva. All they did was bat my complaint to their claims handler, who batted the issue back to Transport UK, whose final response was that their buses can stop anywhere they like because despite my home being private property, the driveway access is owned by council and to take it up with Council! As if the council can control where the buses stop.

Transport UK could easily have resolved this matter on behalf of Arriva by making a goodwill payment to enable me to repair the damage before it gets worse, and getting their bus to revert to stopping where it previously stopped.
Instead, they have proven to be just another soulless and predatory demonc0rp that derives pleasure from inflicting harm.

Recently the 315 broke down, blocking access to my driveway for over an hour. An employee grunted at me when I informed him my driveway was not a bus stop. I filmed the interaction which I will post online, along with pictures of damage, etc.

Transport UK and Arriva deserve the publicity. I also intend raising the matter with my MP.

Aggressive careless bus drivers

The other day an arriva bus driver at Vauxhall bridge road pulls from the left lane on to the right lane without even looking to see if was safe to move pulling me out of the road completely and blocking me on a yellow box on purpose and then when he realised I’ve had to avoid him smashing the left side of my car he stops and blocks me laughing like that was a funny thing to do, very disrespectful attitude from a supposed professional driver, I’ve told him I was going to report his bad and aggressive behaviour and I did so, it took me about an hour to be able to talk to someone at customer service that didn’t care too much and said I was going to be updated about the incident investigation but so far nothing, it feels that nothing as been done, unfortunately this is the reality of this world that we live in now, a complete disrespect for others. Funny enough today when I’ve picked up mi son from school driving back home on lansdowne way sw8 one other arriva bus driver speeds up down the road ignoring his give way and blocks me on the middle of the road and stops there like he’s frozen on ice and blocks dozens of cars not caring at all about other people… what’s wrong with people today? Really??? What makes a person be so ignorant…? What’s a point of not caring about traffic rules and ignoring the obvious give way and the stopping on the middle of the road and blocking everyone??? Selfish and ignorant and not thinking is the problem!!! I suggest more training and supervising could change some of these behaviours.
I guess this type of people are nothing like professional drivers, they are careless and the are in charge of a passengers vehicle that carries about 30 plus people including children and they drive like there is nobody else on the road!!!!! Shameful.

Affreux

Cet hôtel est absolument inhumain. J'ai réservé 4 nuits à l'Hôtel ARRIVA de LONDRES via la plateforme BOOKING. C'était marqué "non remboursable" et c'est tout. Le jour même j'ai annulé ma réservation sur le site car je ne trouvais pas de vol et j'ai paniqué, puis j'ai réécrit, toujours le jour même, pour la remettre en vigueur ou qu'on modifie les dates et ils ne veulent rien faire.
Ils me disent que c'est non "remboursable, non modifiable, non échangeable" mais ça, ça c'était pas marqué sur le site de Booking tant que je n'avais pas fait le règlement.
De plus il n'y avait que 20 € de moins qu'une réservation classique donc la différence de prix ne justifie pas cette rigidité. Ils n'ont eu aucun préjudice puisque j'ai cherché avec eux une solution dès le jour même et qu'ils ont en plus remis la chambre à la vente. Donc c'est un enrichissement sans cause.
Cette clause est ABUSIVE et ils n'ont aucun esprit commerçant.

Tried to get on an Arriva bus in Leeds

Tried to get on an Arriva bus in Leeds. Waited for the passengers to get off, then I stepped forwared to get on and the bus driver closed the doors and drove off!
But worse than this the second bus that came was also an Arriva Bus, where a gentleman tried to get on with his disabled son. But because his son was walking too slow to catch the bus he also drove off! Disgusted!!

Greedy Arriva mismanaging London Overground

The London Overground network must be the most chaotic and mismanaged in the city. Constant cancellations with no notice seemingly at the whim of the operator. Endless weekend cancellations for engineering works that are never ever complete. Meanwhile Arriva gave their executives more than one million in pay and bonuses in 2023 — a massive 60% increase in the middle of a cost of living crisis. Nice.

Rude drivers not friendly and second time wouldn’t let me on the bus with my dog said no seats went passed loads of seats need training to be friendly good manners don’t cost nothing to be nice Last year drove past me wouldn’t even stop lucky I drive don’t have to use public transport very often my view is if you hate your job find one you like better staff needed

Do not book train tickets with Arriva!

I’m on a train from York to London and it’s appalling. Tatty fraying seats, blown windows, not enough spaces for luggage, this is such a rip off. I took LNER going up to York and it was incredible. Will never use Arriva again, I don’t recommend it.

Absolutely appalling service yesterday…

Absolutely appalling service yesterday with the 203 bus, or lack of. Again. I wanted to get the elusive 17:18 from Tingley to Leeds centre but I could see on the live tracker there was no bus due. I kept watching and eventually set off for the bus stop. A bus finally arrived after a long wait at about 18:15 (we’d waited an hour even though they’re meant to be every 30 minutes and we should have seen 3 by this point) only to be told by the driver that he’d been told to terminate at White Rose Centre because ‘the roads were too busy’. He didn’t know of the next bus would go into Leeds either. What a joke. So we were forced to call a taxi at a cost of £14 rather than £4 on the bus. The roads were absolutely fine, and we got into Leeds no issue using the same route as the bus.
Fast forward a few hours and we go to get the last bus back on Boar Lane at 23:24, only for the sign on the bus stop to show it was cancelled. So again we had no other choice but to spend £22 this time on a taxi home or we’d have been stranded. So our round trip to Leeds cost us £40 instead of the £8 it should have cost for 2 people on the bus, plus over an hour in lost time. How do you expect people to use this service to commute to work or to events, or at all? And how can you leave people stuck like that, who maybe can’t afford to get a taxi? At least with trains they don’t just leave you stranded if they cancel the last train. But you just don’t care, there’s no accountability at all. I’d like to say this experience was unique, but it’s happened almost every time I’ve gone to use the 203. I hope you know you’re putting people in danger or risking their employment with your lack of service and lack of assistance, especially late at night. Shame on you.

An abomination of a service…

I live in esh winning and suffer extreme back pain so the bus service is NECESSARY to get my son to and from primary school. I pay for the weekly pass but actually find it pointless as the buses are regularly either late or just don't turn up leaving me to either rely on a bus that doesn't come until 9.15 (30 mins) late for school run or waiting for their bus that turns up around 9.30am with another bus 2 mins behind it. Now map tracking them the bus was in Durham this morning at 8.30am (21/09/2023) but did not leave til around 9am as a service we rely on this is not reliable or fair as the service users pay a fortune to a rubbish service that doesn't turn up and if they do normally 2 buses literally together

Jeg gik ind på arrives App for at vise…

Jeg gik ind på arrives App for at vise min billet, man fandt ud af, at den var sendt på min mail. Jeg prøvede flere gange, at sige til den kvindelige konduktør, at jeg havde fundet den. Det eneste svar jeg fik var, at jeg skulle udlevere mit sundhedskort hvilket jeg ikke ville, da hun jo bare kunne tjekke min mobil med betaling fra Holstebro til Århus. Da jeg skulle skifte i Herning, havde hun kontaktet politiet,da jeg tilsyneladende ikke var samarbejdsvillig. Det endte med hun fik mig anholdt i Herning, da jeg skulle skifte spor. Jeg skulle være i Århus kl 9.00 til operation, men endte i stedet med at blive sat af politiet udenfor stationen, fordi konduktør ikke ville have mig med Arriva. ???? Jeg kontaktede jer da jeg sad i toget mod Herning og det blev bekræftet af jer, at jeg havde en gyldig billet. Det kostede mig 900,- at komme hjem igen. Tak for.......

It's so Simple It's Unbelievable, I Pressed The Bell After We Pulled Away From The Cephas Street Bus Stop, And The Bus As Expected Continued To The Next Stop "Darling Row" And Stopped, Bothe And Another Chap Were Standing By The Middle Exit Doors, And We Patiently Waited For 1-2 Minutes, The Bus Driver Still Wasn't Opening The Doors, Then He Pulls Out To Continue His Journey, I Start Pressing The Button Like A Mad Man, The Other Chap And I Call Out Together "We Pressed The Bell But You Haven't Opened The Doors", The Driver Stops The Bus Peers Out Of His Window, Uhhh! Then Opens The Doors We Both Got Out! Simple But Stupid!
