Audley Travel - UK Reviews 

I was recommended to use the services of Audley Travel when wanting to book a particular hotel - namely the Giraffe Manor Hotel in Kenya - and am so grateful that I followed their advice.
They delivered on booking the hotel and from that built a bespoke itinerary of safari trips with Asilia who were simply outstanding with their customer service and knowledge of the bush.
My point of contact at Audley (in my case Ben Attenborough) was always on hand to clarify any queries I may have, although these were very few, as Audley thought of everything to make my holiday exceptionally memorable.

I took my daughter and her partner on a safari in Nyerere National Park Tanzania followed by 5 days in Zanzibar. We had the most wonderful experience at the Selous Impala Camp; the accommodation, food and staff were all excellent most notably our driver and guide Shebani who ensured we saw as many animals as we possibly could and who was extremely knowledgable. We could not fault it. We then had five days in Zanzibar; two at the Park Hyatt in Stone Town and 3 at Pongwe Beach Hotel on the East Cost. We loved Zanzibar; Stone Town is facinating and the beach at Pongwe magical and the perfect way to relax after the excitement of the Safari. In short, it was the vacation of a lifetime.
We were indebted to Marcha who organised the trip and for all her help and experience especially as we strayed a little from the standard safari schedule. Everything went smoothly with the exception of one small blip which is being investigated. This is not the first time I have travelled with Audley and it won't be the last. As a company they are so reliable, knowledgeable, helpful and on call 24/7.

We recently arrived back from our South African holiday, and can honestly say that was our best holiday ever! From our early conversations with Ben Attenborough we knew Audley Travel was sending us on a trip to remember. All the planning went like clockwork, from being picked up at airports or taken on our numerous trips, we experienced lovely people throughout the holiday. We saw much more than we envisaged and there was never a dull moment.The highlight of the trip was visiting the Bateleu safari camp in the Timbavati game reserve and was so enjoyable that we would seriously consider going there again. The staff, the camp and of course seeing animals in their natural habitat were incredible...I could go on endlessly !
I would definitely recommend Audley Travel and Ben Attenborough to family and friends-thank you for the experience and enjoyment.

We have just returned from a safari in Tanzania at 2 different locations, followed by a beach holiday in Zanzibar. Everything was organised for us by Isabelle Evans who created a dream trip with seamless transfers, perfect locations and lovely accommodation.
She actually suggested an alternative to our original destination choice which was North Tanzania and persuaded us to try Southern Tanzania. Having spoken to people who went to the North, we were so grateful to have gone to the South as we had a truly authentic experience which was incredibly peaceful with much fewer vehicles and opportunities to get very close to the wildlife.
Our accomodation was wonderful, both in Tanzania and Zanzibar.
After coming off a flight there was always a representative ready to meet us and to get us to our next destination. Having done 7 flights this was pretty impressive. There were absolutely no hitches or difficulties.
Our trip was organised in a very professional manner with great communication throughout.

We've used Audley twice before, and recommended them to numerous friends. Their service, attention to detail and itineraries are fantastic. This time we have had the pleasure of dealing with Harriet Mercer, who has been wonderful. Her patience with our numerous date changes has been very much appreciated and she's come up with the most fabulous itinerary for our return to south Africa. It's over a year away - but we're so looking forward to it already. I cannot recommend Audley enough.

This was our second trip with Audley. This time to Japan with the help of Manon. She listened very attentively to our wish list and gave us fabulous insight on the best ways to achieve it from her own in country experience.

Audley don't simply arrange holidays, they create life experiences. Robyn Hutchons expertly tailored our experience with insider knowledge, with care and with great attention to detail. As a result, we had a wonderful trip, one that we will never forget.

Many people go to the Serengeti, but Robyn suggested Selous game reserve for us. Not only was the resort excellent, but also our guide was knowledgeable and fun. We saw so much on our safari: lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, monkeys, hippos, baboons, crocodiles, water buffalo and on and on. The last part of our trip was to Zanzibar. The location looked like paradise - pure white sandy beaches, sea as warm as bath water, opportunities to see star fish, clown fish and more. As with Selous, Tanzania, we couldn't speak more highly of the staff and the people of this country. The are warm and open. To see the little children waving, happy, playing in some towns with no running water was a real eye-opener.

A few years back we chose Audley to curate a Deep South American music tour. That was outstanding. This trip was no less brilliant.

From booking to return, everything was in safe hands. At no point do you ever feel disconnected, which is especially important with trips like this, with so many elements to it, including locations.

Audley (Harriet) planned a two-week tour of South Africa for us, incorporating visits to Cape Town and the Winelands plus safaris in two game reserves in the north-west.
The itinerary covered everything we asked for and more, and the accommodation and guiding was exceptional. Overall, the trip exceeded our expectations.
We have used Audley before and will keep coming back - every detail is taken care of and the specialists really know their stuff.
On this trip we happened to travel from Heathrow on the day of the latest NATS failure and, although our flight was unaffected (just a little late), we received two calls from Audley: at the airport to check we were OK and the following day to check we had arrived safely. A great example of the fact that they care about their customers holiday experience.

This was our second time with Audley and they didn’t disappoint.
Charlotte listened to what we wanted from our trip to Borneo and we were used her experience and knowledge of the area to plan with her everything we wanted to do. It all went seamlessly. The accommodation was exactly what we expected or better and our guides very knowledgeable and helpful. The local knowledge that Audley’s planners have is so helpful when you’re going on a once in a lifetime trip and don’t want to miss out on anything.

From my first conversation with Audley Travel exper Charlotte Callin, Senior Country Specialist for Malaysia, Singapore, Borneo and Indonesia I knew I was in right place to put together my bucket list adventure. We discussed what my main requirements were and what my budget was so that she could go away and work out a suitable itinerary that works within my budget. Charlotte came back with a great itinerary and we throughly discussed it and she wanted to make sure I had all the things I wanted built within this trip before I commited to it. There were regular updates in the following months and prior to the trip I was sent my final itinerary, online and within a large filofax. Audley also sent me gift hamper of items relating to the regions I was visiting. Audley also have a comanion app which is interactive and honestly it was so handy as it alerts you when flights are due and you are able to complete an online journal to look back on. All the local guides and drivers that Audley assigned to me were the loveliest of people and were extremely knowlegeable and caring. My trip was amazing and I will cherish all the memories. I would deffinately recommend Audley Travel for arranging that special bucket list trip.

We normally travel by ourselves and organise everything. However, travelling to Canada made us consider using a company to help us. We chose Audley from previous reviews and I am so glad we did. They were top class. Our expert, Lucy, was with us all the way, from booking to organising trips and keeping us updated on everything all of the way. The attention to detail was superb. We even had a welcome home message on the day of our return! Highly recommended

We’re just back from a magical tour of Namibia organised for us by Megan Capon. The 18 day tour wasn’t cheap but it was worth every penny, and exceeded our expectations. Megan listened carefully to our aims and arranged lodges around the country that were each unique and in fabulous settings. We’ll be back.

We have been travelling with Audley since 2014, and over the years, they have taken us from North America across the globe, most recently to Singapore and Indonesia.
Our 2026 trip was another wonderful example of why, after all these years, we continue to put our trust in Audley.
Our journey started in Singapore, where we spent a few days exploring this fascinating city, before flying to Yogyakarta and beginning our Indonesian adventure. From there, we explored Prambanan and Borobudur, continued by train to Pasuruan and on to Wonokitri village near Mount Bromo, before travelling through Surabaya. One of the absolute highlights was our incredible nine-day SeaTrek voyage, followed by a few wonderfully relaxing days at Plataran Komodo before returning home via Singapore.
What impressed us most, however, was not only the itinerary itself, but the way Audley looked after us when things did not go according to plan.
Due to an earthquake and later wildfires, our schedule had to be changed twice during the journey. These are exactly the moments when you discover the real value of travelling with an excellent travel company.
At no point did we feel that we were left to deal with the situation ourselves. Quite the opposite. We felt fully supported, cared for and, most importantly, confident that everything was being handled. Audley and their local partner were always there for us – responsive, reliable, caring and extremely professional. Alternative arrangements were organised smoothly, and even in unexpected situations, we always felt that somebody was looking after us.
That feeling of trust and confidence is perhaps the greatest compliment we can give Audley. When travelling far from home, especially through more remote parts of the world, knowing that there is a knowledgeable and dependable team behind you makes an enormous difference.
After more than twelve years of travelling with Audley, we continue to appreciate not only the quality and individuality of their itineraries, but also the people behind them and the excellent local partners they choose.

Recently returned from northern 9 days in Tanzania. Lulu in Audley helped arranged the trip of a lifetime- and this is my 5th trip to Africa and 4th on safari! Other than the amazing landscape, unforgettable animals and balloon trip on the last day were the people- kind, interested in having visitors, helpful and generous. Our guide, Noel, from Audley local partner Asilia, was simply the finest guide and driver we have ever had- in multiple trips abroad. He was incredibly knowledgable, always thoughtful and absolutely full of energy and pleasure- appearing always as if he was seeing the things we were, also for the first time! Highly recommended.
