Had our fist session with Gavin yesterday, as we have been having a few issues with our older dog. Gavin was patient, listened and explained things clearly. Then change on the first visit has been amazing for us and most importantly our dogs. We know we aren't out of the woods yet but we are on a very promising start thanks to Gavin.

A waste of £600 dog still barking more than ever a waste of time and money no contact with us at all to see how we was getting on would not recommend to anyone

Zero stars for Barkbusters UK (Coventry trainer).
TLDR: The trainer had decided what was best for my dog before meeting him and couldn't adapt to the dog actually in front of her and our situation. Outdated methods including choke collars and metal chain "pillows" to throw to enforce fear.

We were told in the first email to ensure our dog was in another room so we could chat first, which is fine. She then proceeded to give us 90 minutes of advice about aggression, without ever meeting the dog, and didn't hear our protests when we were trying to tell her what was actually the problem (not aggression).
When we finally took the dog outside, she took the lead and allowed our dog to wander into a road multiple times.
After the session, I received 14 different emails with various documents which was entirely overwhelming, and a succinct summary of clear key points would have been more practical.
As we had paid for the year support, we requested our next session on resource guarding. When she arrived, she launched into a repeat of the last session and only answered questions on resource guarding on the final minute before leaving for her next client. She then sent the worst lesson notes I have ever seen, including fabricated conversations that never happened. When I responded with a factual account of the lesson, she decided she would not be returning.

Barkbusters uses outdated methods, including a half choke collar, water bottle sprays, and a "bark busters pillow" consisting of a metal chain inside some fabric that the dog is "supposed to become afraid of". That.is.not.training.

I was lucky and received my money back given she refused to return. Don't waste your time or your money and book a more reputable trainer. In the month since the trainer left, I'm pleased to report that without her, we have played fun reward based games, have a wonderful relationship and focus on walks, and all based on alternative methods to bark busters. We have recently got a 10 month old Dachshund Teddy. He was suffering from a lot of stress and anxiety from the change of people and surroundings, and we were struggling with his behaviour. Bark Busters were able to arrange a home visit at a time/ date that suited us. Gina, was very knowledgeable and understood the issues we were having. She explained the reasons for Teddy’s behaviour, and took us through what we needed to do to achieve the desired results. We have been following the methods Gina showed us and are seeing positive results. I feel that carrying out the training at home is better for us and Teddy, as opposed to attending classes. I would definitely recommend Gina and Bark Busters.

It was great to meet up with Gavin for our introductory session. He was friendly and reassuring and so knowledgeable. He has given me the encouragement that I need in regard to my two nine month old Border Collie puppies. I was feeling quite hopeless and was amazed at what we were able to achieve after just the first few hours of advice and demonstration. I now feel inspired and confident to take things forward myself and I’m looking forward to havingthe pleasure of owning two well-behaved dogs!

Sydney was spot on with her training and gave us much more confidence with the training. The diet plan for the dog is also going really well and he loves his new food. His coat is looking a lot better too.

We have recently adopted a 3 year old Labrador called Mylo.
Lee understood my concerns with some of his issues.
He was professional and was able to show us how we can address the problems we were encountering.
Lee left us with tips and guidance to practice with.
I am now 1 week in and can already see the improvements.

Kirsty was amazing she explained everything so clearly and what she was telling us worked very well indeed she never rushed us she was here all afternoon she left us. With instructions as to how to go forward and it’s up to us now she is only a phone call away or an email and we have that help for a year brilliant

Working with our Trainer Estelle has been truly remarkable. I didn't initially know what to expect but Estelle is a lovely person,easy to talk to,explains everything very clearly. I am learning so much,and Honey is responding well, and has really taken to Estelle. My only negative is that i should've done this years ago. I truly recommend Bark Busters, and Estelle is a wonderful Trainer.

My training was with Lynn ,she explained everything as she went along,and was with me for about 3 hours and I was able to house train my new companion very quickly.I would recommend this service to everyone.

The experience was tailor made to the needs of my puppy and environment. Sarah was extremely knowledgeable about dog behaviour and offered useful advice in terms of diet, play, behaviour and being a pack leader. I would fully recommend her to other dog owners needing support. I've gone from being a novice to being a pack leader.

Ok so where do I start! The silly person that I am thought I would spend around £800 for a years training for my dog! And what an absolute waste of money! I am not a moaner and honesty that is the truth, a couple of months in I tried to reach out to bark busters to say I wasn’t happy with the lack of time spent with my trainer but I got absolutely no where! No body wanted to listen once I had paid up and was not willing to give me anything back! I think I have seen my trainer 3 or 4 times in the year and every time I saw him he just gave me links to buy more things! Typical! No hands on training! He didn’t even go near my dog not once! Please please listen to me it maybe that it was just my trainer but all I can say is that they are getting so much money for absolutely nothing!! Please avoid

Nice guy but the whole thing felt rushed and my particular breed is unique and his techniques were not appropriate for them. I think an upfront and honest conversation from him admitting he wasn’t the right fit for my dog breed and how my puppy was too young to start training would have been more appreciated. It felt like they just want the money and leave you. I didn’t really get anything out of it. For the amount of money I spent I can’t think of anything that improved my skills for training unfortunately

Kirsty got straight to work and was brilliant, I could see a difference in my dogs behaviour after about 5 minutes, which felt unbelievable. Kirsty calmly and clearly talked through all the training and exercises we would be doing and we got straight into practising which was very helpful. I’m really looking forward to getting stuck into the training plan after the changes I saw in and after our initial session and looking forward to working with Kirsty in the future.

Confident and extremely knowledgeable trainer. In only 48 hours, using the techniques shown we can start seeing a change in our pup.

Me and my partner recently rescued a Doberman who had never lived in a home before so didn't know what to do or how to behave in a household. Emma came out and taught me and my partner some really helpful tips due to our dogs nervous behaviour and we have seen a massive change in her since. She's like a whole new puppy with such a confidence due to some of the tips we have put in place since Emma's visit! We are due a couple more visits and im really excited to see our dog grow and learn more!

Kirsty is a lovely person, non judgmental, understanding and explained things clearly. She seen the problems we were facing personally and gave us great tips on how to correct them and pointed out things we hadn't noticed, that we are now able to correct. Today was the first meeting and already we have seen a change in our dog how he reacts to us. We have a long way to go with our dominant boy but now we have the right tools and structure for him to be the best boy he can be.
