I purchased a plot of land for a new business project, and the team were fantastic!

I even had my first deposit refunded because i wasn’t sure about what i was purchasing, but i came back 3 weeks later and asked lots of questions, the team were very patient and they made me feel at ease!

I am really happy with my new purchase! I hope to work with you guys again in the future!

Stay away from this doggy so called estate agent and auctioneer. Sold us a £150k parcel of land in a village in £325k and their rip off so called huge fee on top where we ended up in £380k till completion. They use in house doggy solicitor also for so called completions and will trap you in such a way where you end up losing your heavy deposit. Doing fraud in this country openly and sold our same piece of land to someone else also at the same time. This is pure example of fraud. Agricultural land price in this country is £8000 to £15000 per acre but these cheaters and fraudsters will sell you for £30k to £50k an acre. Ripping off innocent public. Got very bad reputation so pay £300 to £500 and get a survey before you buy anything in this country. An agent who will lie, misguide and mis-sell. No ethics and no morals. A chartered surveyor told us valuation of our land which made us upset and bad feeling about this doggy estate agent. So stay away from them and save your hard earned money.

I’ve been attempting to purchase a property but my experience has been frustrating due to a lack of transparency around the fees. I was informed that there would be £3,600 and other person said £3300 include tax an agency fees for a £15,000 property, which I feel is disproportionately high. Additionally, the cost of the legal pack was over £10,000—another significant expense that wasn’t clearly explained upfront. Despite multiple requests, I’ve struggled to get a clear breakdown of these charges, leaving me concerned about their fairness. After leaving a review about my experience, I received an email from the company threatening legal action if I didn’t take it down. This kind of response only raises more concerns about their practices. I would advise others to exercise caution and make sure they fully understand all costs before engaging with this agency!!

I was in a desperate situation where i needed to sell my land urgently. After going through most of the well known auctions i was not satisfied with the reserve they were willing to sell my land at. I needed to achieve a certain figure which non of the auctions or estate agents wanted to agree too. I fortunately came across barney estates which proved to be a major break through for me. In particular i was assigned to Rowan, I went through the sale detailed and for the first time the list price was agreed too. During the live auctions I was considered to lower my list price as i really needed an urgent sale, Rowan again advised me to stay firm at the original price, This proved to be crucial advise as she secured me a buyer and I was able to sell at the asking price. Rowan was super professional kind and very confident during the process. I cannot thank her enough for her efforts, I feel as though you understood my situation unlike other auctions or agents. Going forward I will no doubt be contacting her when buying or selling. Highly recommended if you want a reliable and efficient company to buy or sell properties.

We have bought 3 acres of land pre auction via Barney estates. Patrick Quigley, Barney's auctioneer and asset manager was brilliant throughout the process. Clear, concise and quick communication throughout the process and always followed up what we discussed via phone with an email for my records. They currently have land advertised for sale without mentioning the policies that exist to protect the land from development. Whilst no purchaser would proceed without checking it is disingenuous to not mention those policies in their listing.

I am new to buying in auction and after having a poor experience contacting another auction house I was pleasantly surprised by the level of customer service that Barney’s provided. They guided me through the process and clearly explained the jargon within the contract pack so that I felt confident I knew what I was buying.

STAY AWAY. Listen to the people who have already suffered.

Could not give zero stars. Trespassed on land and took drone footage over grazing land without permission.
You caused injuries on two horses. Disgraceful behaviour.
Please let me know where I can send the vet bill.

We recently purchased a property through an auction with Barney Estates and Auctioneers. Elliot did an amazing job of pulling our deal together and saved the day by identifying gaps in our ROI calculations due to a previous misinterpretation of several costs. This purchase wouldn’t have happened without Elliot as we had pulled out, but we ended up concluding the sale before auction commencement. Would definitely use the service again.

I would strongly advise against using this company. In my experience, their practices was dishonest, and I was left highly disappointed and costed us ££££.

The team were very efficient, expensive but worth their efforts.
Straight, clear and precise in their work.
