Bensons For Beds - Bury Reviews 

Purchase was seamless. I had looked online and knew what I wanted but needed to check the colour and ask a few questions so I popped into the Bury store. Tracy Dempsey helped me with the order and she was truly wonderful. She also connected me with a fitter called Nick. The bed was delivered on time and the guys took the massive boxes into the room of choice with Nick arriving not much later. Every bit of the service felt exemplary and I know I shouldn’t be surprised but I am! It was perfect.

Lots of stock to try out. Good guidance and advice from Glenn - he listened, advised and gave space and time to make a decision. No pushy salesmanship - most welcomedly. Left feeling very happy with choice and service. Big thumbs up.

Tracey at the Bury store and Craig at Middlebrook could not have been more helpful. Encyclopedic knowledge and not pushy in the slightest. Both incredibly friendly and personable. Personally, we buy from people, not shops. Tracey and Craig ensured we bought from Bensons.

I just called, like just now. Just put the phone down, and OMG! I spoke to a staff member who couldn’t give me a quote for "the cheapest king-size Sealy mattress with "AlignSupport Coil Springs." He told me the Burlington and Columbia models have these springs and that they were much cheaper. However, after I pressed him, he admitted those models do not have AlignSupport Coil Springs. He then quoted me £1,599, which is £800 more expensive than the competition. I queried it and said it seemed expensive and he said there was a discount on today with which would give money off. I said "so... how much are they then". He said "up to 20% off". I said, "so... how much then?".

In disbelief, I asked to speak to the manager. Glen, the manager, came on the phone and also quoted £1,599. He went on to explain that the spring system varies in the quantity of springs, as well as the layers and fabrics used. But, while layers and fabrics may vary, the AlignSupport Coil Springs do not.

When I said I was in disbelief at his staff’s lack of knowledge—and his own—and told him I wouldn’t be going to the store, he adopted that patronising tone: "Mmmmm, Mmmmm, ok then, probably not for you!" Unbelievable!

Why would I travel to the store just for more of this waffle? How can people who sell mattresses not even know what they’re selling?

Was only going in for a look when the lovely assistant Yasmin asked what type of bed did we need, I listed all my requirements and Yasmin took us to the best bed I've ever slept in plus we got a fantastic discount as well.

I would have given 5 stars after my visit to the store but marked down because the Sales Assistant actually said at the end of the sale that he had thrown a bed care kit in for me and obviously when some one says that you think that this is complimentary with the sale .I have checked my receipt and I have been charge £30 for this and I think this is most unacceptable as I wasn’t given the option to purchase this product like I was when he asked did I require a mattress topper, which I declined and likewise if I was asked re the bed set kit I would have also declined.I am extremely annoyed at this sales technique and would be most obliged if you could look into this for reimbursement.I feel that this practice totally let the sales person down.
