i have had the frying pan for 18 months and its crap…
i have had the frying pan for 18 months and the Teflon is coming off.
i did complain but am told that the pan has been used empty on to high a heat.
this is not true i always put the fat or oil in the pan and then turn it on.
i also read on here that you should not use oil in the pans and also someone who had a Teflon pan for 4 years had it replaced.
why is everyone not treated equally

Thank you for your review.
I can assure you that each warranty claim is treated fairly and every customer is treated equally. If any pan that is returned to us during a potential warranty claim is showing signs of a genuine manufacturing fault that is the direct consequence of the complex manufacturing process having been performed incorrectly then I can assure you that a replacement pan will be sent under the terms of the warranty.
Unfortunately, if an item of cookware has been misused in any way or is subject to general wear and tear after a period of time then it cannot be replaced under the warranty.

We purchased a full set of Berghoff…
We purchased a full set of Berghoff pans in 2023 at the London Ideal Home Exhibition. (We had a poor experience with other expensive pans, possible Woll where they explained not to use olive oil, so we are aware of these issues) Anyway... our Berghoff frying pans are no longer adequately non-stick and a great disappointed after less than 18 months use... another bone of contention is we have to hand wash these items as they are not dishwasher proof..

We are sorry to read that you have had some issues with the cookware. The non-stick properties cannot change if the surface remains intact, sometimes the cookware may need seasoning or cleaning to ensure that food is still making contact with the non-stick surface.

Fantastic pans
We purchased some saucepans & frying pans at The Good Food Show in June, having watched their demonstration. Hubby was insistent on buying them but I was reluctant as he has purchased some useless stuff after being taken in by the sales pitch. Imagine my disappointment when he was proved right - they are lightweight but sturdy and when it comes to cleaning, they are ridiculous. Just put them in a bowl of hot soapy water for a few minutes, wipe with a cloth & bingo they are clean. I cannot praise these pans highly enough & will definitely be buying some more.

It's cheeky to ask for a review of a product you've only been using for 2 weeks though. The pan works well but has 2 drawbacks - the handle screws on and off: it doesn't click like the Woll pans. Secondly, it's not dishwasher safe. Bit of a shame on both fronts.

Just a few points that you've made that we would like to clarify further:
1. The review invitation is completely optional but is as much to find out about the ordering and delivery process as well as initial reaction to the cookware rather than any long term observations.
2. In our experience, the push button handles which contain a spring do not have the longevity of a screw handle and so when we sell you a pan that is designed to last for several years we don't just mean the cooking aspect of it but we try to build every part to last and a screw handle is much more dependable and a lot safer than a spring loaded clip.
3. No truly non-stick cookware is suitable for continued use in a dishwasher. The salts and chemicals from a dishwasher will leave a film or residue on top of any cooking surface and so when you come to cook something, after prolonged use in a dishwasher your food is no longer making contact with the non-stick surface of the pan but rather with the layer of residue and so will not work the same way.
We hope you enjoy using your new cookware and hope that the above information clarifies a few points for you.

Great service and product
I ordered a replacement lid and a set of saucepans and they arrived the next day. I rang about the lid and the young lady I spoke to was most helpful in advising the size I required and how to access it on their website. Having owned one of their saucepans, had no hesitation in choosing BergHOFF for my new kitchen. Great service and product.

Worst customer service
Placed order during a sale event and then got an email advising they cancelled my order as they made an error in the pricing. Emailed them asking for company policy on incorrect pricing to support cancelling my order and have not had a response in over 3 weeks despite emailing several different departments.

Pan replaced after over four years use
I have three Berghoff frying pans of differing sizes. I have been pleased with them all but recently the largest pan coating started to flake. I had this pan for over four years but was advised to send this back to the company. They inspected it and then sent me a new pan to replace it with advise on cleaning and heating the pan. It had probably been a manufacturing fault but all the same I was given a new replacement pan. It was a pleasure to deal with an efficient and honest company.

Was off to a great to start
Was off to a great to start; however, after about 15-20 uses my pan now acts like glue.
I was showing my partner as a joke that I could lift the pan upside-down over the hobb and the eggs would remain stuck in place. This was funny until I remembered the price that I paid for the "non-stick" pan...
I was making an Omelette yesterday and the centre was stuck like nothing I have seen before. (Even with a little oil) it tore up. I ended up using another cheap pan (from wilkos)
Unless I was given a defective pan I would not recommend.
