We booked return coach travel from Aberdeen to the Take That concert at Hampden Park, paying £50 per person (£200 for four of us).

We chose this service because we expected to be dropped off close to the venue. However, once we were already on the coach, we were told there would be a walk from the drop-off point. In practice, the walk was much longer than we had anticipated. According to Apple Maps, it was around a 21-minute walk, but due to the route to our stadium entrance and the pace of our group, it took us around 35–40 minutes each way.

Two members of our group have ongoing back and mobility issues, so the unexpected walking caused significant discomfort. Had we known about the drop-off location before booking, we would have chosen a different way to travel.

I want to stress that the coach drivers were friendly, professional and very helpful throughout the journey. My disappointment is with the information provided before travel, rather than the staff themselves.

After the event, I contacted Big Green Coach to explain our experience. They apologised for the discomfort caused but advised that they were unable to offer a refund, explaining that the drop-off location had been allocated by the venue.

While I appreciate the response, I still feel it would be helpful if customers were told the approximate drop-off and pick-up locations, or expected walking distance, before booking. That would allow people, particularly those with mobility concerns, to decide whether the service is suitable for them.

Unfortunately, based on this experience, our group has decided we wouldn’t use this service again.

I recently travelled with Big Green Coach from Cardiff to Wembley Stadium for Harry Styles on June 23rd and everything went perfectly.
The bus was on time, comfortable, and both drivers were great.
The bus had WiFi, air con and a toilet. Only thing it lacked was USB charging ports.
We stopped off at Oxford M40 services for around half an hour on the way up and around 15 minutes on the way back.
The journey was comfortable on such a hot day.
We were allowed to keep any of our things on the coach which was good, but this isn’t always the case.
The coach car park is very conveniently close to Wembley and is easy to navigate.
We also found the coach in plenty of time before we headed back to Wales. I would definitely do this again.

Used them to go to and from Foo Fighters - Bristol to Liverpool. On time arrival at Bristol; coach had air con (on the hottest day of the year!), charging points and a clean, working toilet; drivers were positive and kept us informed, and we arrived in plenty of time for first support despite traffic. On the way back we made excellent time, so an altogether great experience. Thank you!

Im giving one star because the drivers were great and very friendly and got us there and back on time. The coach had a fault which meant two rows of two seats had the radiator by our feet and legs on full blast so much that it burnt you if you touched it. This was on the day it was 35 degrees in London so it was a very unpleasant and uncomfortable journey from Liverpool to Wembley. I have asthma and the heat from the radiator for 6 hours both there and back made me feel like I couldn’t breathe and I felt sick. The driver tried to fix the issue but advised there is nothing he could do as it would need to be looked at the day after. It wasn’t the drivers fault at all but I think BGC should maintain and check their coaches before each journey especially on a day as hot as it was. The toilet door also didn’t lock and the flush didn’t work with boiling hot water coming out the only tap.

What a pile of crooks . Don’t rely on these rip offs merchants. Despite them letting us down ( sending no bus to collect us for the recent lottery winners concert in Leigh ) the refuse to refund us because they told us to get a taxi, pay ourselves and refund us . . …
They’re a horrible company who can’t be trusted

Used the Big Green Coach to get to Powderham on a 30 degree day. The air conditioning was amazing. There was a major motorway closure and about 2 hours of delays but our driver kept us informed and was clearly trying everything to find a route around. I understand they provided taxis to some people further along. It was the same Coach and driver back. Music on the coach was tailored to the concert. Coming out of the concert was so easy.

**AVOID AT ALL COSTS** I want to give zero stars. We left our stop on time only to have to turn back 15 minutes later to collect people that we left without. Only then to be caught in rush hour traffic on then way back into the destination, we were an hour late getting there which completely ruined our plans to meet friends before the gig. We then returned to the bus for the journey home it wasn’t there. Finally turned up and we were advised it would leave 11.15pm we had to sit until midnight as 1 person didn’t make it back to the coach. Caused issues with child care for us and cost more money for this. Several people missed onward travel plans. Emailed complaint - ignored for an over a week followed with a call and told passed to manager but no ideas when we will get a response as so busy dealing with complaints. Finally received a response and we were told sorry for your inconvenience that’s it - no compensation refunded. Very expensive in comparison to other options we soon later found out.

Awful. First and last time using them.

I want to give no stars!!!. Currently sitting on a coach to see Take That it's dirty the air con is rubbish. We had to direct the driver to one of the pick up's it's not his fault it would appear. Saw some passengers had to be left behind in the terrible heat. Next time it's the train. Dreading the journey back and this is not a cheap ticket. It would appear from the reviews that a refund won't be happening even if you point out these problems. The worse start to the day some people have been on this coach for hours with no stop for the toilet. I'm sure in the small print there will be plenty of excuses but the service is unacceptable. The journey has gone from bad to worse stopped at a service station for the poor people who needed a toilet stop. The coach then broke down stranded at Beaconsfield service station on the hottest day of the year. No idea of when a replacement coach with be there so many of us have had to hire taxis at our own expense to get there. Your website makes it looks so hassle free and enjoyable. I was actually worried for the safety of some ladies when we were sitting on the coach the temperature reached over 34 degrees. I just cannot say anything good apart from the poor driver who had be totally let down by this company as well.

The return journey the coach was cool aircon was great, driver was so friendly and professional.
A medical episode occured whic delayed us and although there were navigational issues due to inconsiderate parking and poor road conditions the drivers skill and awareness was amazing
I have a new found respect for coach drivers.

Very poor customer service and discriminatory practices refusing service to disabled customers. Not only is it morally wrong but also legally wrong and in violation of the Equality Act for them to act in the way that they do. Very poor from such a large company.

Had initially booked to use their coach transfer, but had to make a last minute cancellation as our plans had changed. All communication was prompt and concise, from initial booking through to our late cancellation. Very professional.

I have used the Big Green Bus many times to travel to gigs. The service from booking tickets to the bus journey to and from gigs has been excellent. With my recent purchase, I had submitted an incorrect email address and contacted the contact centre. It was dealt with on the same day. Staff are friendly, extremely courteous and willing to provide assistance. I sincerely hope that the Big Green Bus continues to exist into the future.

Extremely disappointing experience.

The outward journey was great – comfortable coach, working air conditioning and a friendly driver. Unfortunately, the return journey was the complete opposite.

The coach had been sitting for hours and was unbearably hot when passengers boarded. The air conditioning was not on, and multiple passengers raised concerns about the temperature, only to be ignored by the driver. His attitude was not nice at all, and he came across as dismissive and unhelpful. Many people were visibly uncomfortable and struggling in the heat. The main interior lights were also left on throughout much of the journey, making it difficult to rest after a long day.

What makes this more frustrating is that the air conditioning was eventually switched on later in the journey, so it was clearly available. Had concerns been addressed sooner, much of the discomfort could have been avoided.

I contacted customer services to complain and request compensation. While they apologised, they refused any refund and largely dismissed the issues raised. I then responded to explain why I was unhappy with their decision and have since received no reply despite following up.

I expected a far better standard of service and customer care. Based on both the journey itself and the way the complaint has been handled, I would not use this company again.

Booking was easy but unfortunately we had to cancel our journey. My email was answered promptly and had all the information I needed. Very impressed

Very quick response to email, great service!

Used them for radio 1 big weekend in May. No information from stewards or anyone for that matter for times of buses arrival for outward journey. Very chaotic. Waited 50 mins in heat to get bus. Asked for refund for part of journey. Refused.

Easy to book coach travel. Designated pick-up point was a 20 minute drive from home with plenty of parking available.
Clean coach, friendly driver, aircon.
Straightforward drive to stadium venue, dropped off outside with short walk to entry point. Designated pick-up point and a good journey home.
Overall a very good experience.

Second time I've used this company and have had bad experiences both times. First time the coach was over an hour late and the driver didn't know where he was going so got dropped off in wrong place which meant we then didn't know where to go for the journey back home, which caused lots of stress for us throughout the day of the event as we were worried we wouldn't get home.
Second time I had a problem with my booking and customer service ghosted me after initially replying and being really helpful. This meant that I had to buy 2 brand new tickets very last minute to the event so I was out of pocket and stressed again. No other way to contact other than an email which they stopped responding to despite saying they would prioritise upcoming bookings.

It's a great idea but not well executed unfortunately.

We are first time Isle of Wight Fesitval attendees and just had the most fantastic experience from Bristol and back! The buses were clean, the AC was on (thankfully) and the toilets worked! The ferry crossings were really easy (we have avoided IOW as we thought it would be expensive and complex to get there and back but we were wrong!)

Our driver home was so friendly and when we needed to move our pickup location before the event, customer service sorted us out straight away! Couldn’t ask for more and will definitely book this company again!
