The Audiologist Awais Elahi was patient and very thorough. He persisted and removed a pre-historic lump of earwax which improved my hearing considerably. After his excavation no hearing aid was required, but I will have no hesitation in buying one there if / when necessary.

My experience at Boots Hearingcare has reinforced the need to spend time with a professional audiologist when choosing a hearing solution. I have leaned so much during the consultations and now appreciate that the physical hearing device is only part of the overall solution. My assigned audiologist Nicola took the time to explain my hearing loss and also discuss my lifestyle and priorities. At no point was the sales part of the process pushy and options were suggested for me to go away and consider. Future consultations are actively encouraged and I have confidence that there is both a short and long term interest with maintaining an optimum hearing solution. Recently went to Boots Halifax store for an initial check up. Although the clinic is rather show horned into a corner of the store. The service was quick and efficient. It showed that i needed a more detailed test.
I returned within two weeks for my second appointment. Ths time a more thorough testing. Yes bingo. As suspected needed hearing aids. The service was excellent and tuning into what is needed. I was shocked at what sound I was actually missing.
Have now ordered two new aids which will be fitted between Christmas and New Year. So a good fast service considering the time of year. The audiologist was warm and friendly and explained everything in detail as nt cheap losing hearing and will have to spend £3400 for a air. So the acid test will be in a couple of weeks when I go to have these fitted. Watch this space
