And to top it all off they called my sister this morning on her business phone and wouldn't say how they had the number.
People still answering phones and are helpful. Could be cheaper though.
I have never had an issue with Customer service until today , have been a customer many years . Rang to query two things on my bill and was spoken too like a child and heard the person audibly sigh , when I asked could she help me . I also work in customer service too , have always got helpful people on the phone till today
Bord Gais are very helpful. The customer service staff are always friendly and very helpful.

I am a volnerable customer, disabled with a traumatic brain injury, never get a human on the phone, longest recording telling me ALL the ways they want you to deal with your own issue using automated systems, or wait 10/20/30 minutes on hold if you do get through, I contacted them about an issue via email and phone on January 24th, received an email 2 weeks later telling me someone would be in touch. NOTHING
I called over and over, "let me put you through to the relevant departmen" call drops every single time, calling doesn't work, they keep telling me to wait for an email response, yet no response ever comes, I have been waiting now for 3 months for a response from Bord Gais energy.
AVOID Bord Gais at ALL cost, run for the hills
Appauling non service and for a registered volnerable customer

I have been a Bord Gais customer for 9 years. My initial 12-month contract ended and I received no notification of this EVER. My bills were never cheap but now that I am home all day, my latest bill was huge. I called Bord Gais ready to change electric provider. Only now that I complained was I offered a 32% discount through a contract. The representative I talked with opened a complaint for me and I sent a message myself via their website but got no response. Bord Gais has taken me for granted as a customer for 9 years... I could have saved thousands of euros on electricity had I been notified of my contract expiry date.

Absolutely appalling Customer Care response. Registered a complaint about their disgraceful handling of a vulnerable customer and got a case number. It took eighteen days to finally get email confirmation from their team that the complaint will be looked at. Another week has passed and still zero contact from them. Called them again and can't get anyone to address the issues. Again, we're dealing with a vulnerable customer in her 80's here. Disgraceful lack of attention and care.

Fab service from a lovely chap named Chris. Had a bit of a laugh and a joke which is always welcome on a Monday. Hold time is quite frustrating as I was waiting near 40mins to get through. You would not want to be in a rush.
