Really impressive. I needed insurance for an extended visit to family in the USA, but with some pre-existing medical conditions, could not get cover for the period concerned. Shortening the period with my previous insurer still gave an eye-watering sum for just one month. Spoke to Sarah at Brunel who took the necessary information and came back with a quote for the full two month stay which was significantly better value than the quote from my previous insurer, and for the whole two months. Highly recommended, quick, friendly service.

In 2023 I had to make a high value claim, following an explosion at my home. Way to complicated to explain here, causing me to find an alternative moving into 2026.
I found this firm, Brunel, and my nominated handler was Andrew Wear; very good indeed on both counts. I was expecting a bunch of complications, due to the complexity, of the 2023 claim, which I obviously had to declare. This turned out to be ill-founded.
Andrew did a great professional job. He dealt with all the details and made sure we were well set up for 2026.

Caveat Emptor. I was disappointed over my experience with this company at their new office local to me whilst phoning around looking for non standard home insurance. I was called back the next day with a premium higher than other quotes. When I asked if it was over 12 months, I was told it was 6m. After I expressed surprise, I asked him to check, yes 6m. I then revealed other quotes with competitors were cheaper and over 12m. He then said sorry, it was 12m and the price then conveniently dropped to £5 below my best quote. He apologised for his “mistake” Ok, we all make mistakes. But it didn’t feel that that. Had I not questioned, I would have paid a higher premium than market rates for only 6m of cover. I explained I did not feel able to do business with a company that didn’t give me their best price from the outset. Honesty integrity and transparency are important to me and should be to all staff. I took my business elsewhere. For anyone considering using this company do your homework first,

Phillip Narborough dealt with an urgent and difficult renewal regarding subsidence (building and contents) which another broker had declined to find cover. He acknowledged the urgency of the situation and collected the relevant details and approached specialist insurers for competitive quotes. He was thorough in his questioning in order to collect the relevant and correct details relating to this matter. I can advise that he was able to provide a quote that was realistic for a complex case. Thank you Phillip - we got there in the end - 5 Stars.

Philip Narborough dealt with an urgent renewal (building and contents) on which another broker had failed to find cover. He acted swiftly, was thorough in collecting the relevant information from me and balanced in the advice he gave on the insurers' offers that emerged.

I spoke to Laura regarding a top up cancellation insurance policy. Laura was helpful and courteous and after a bit of investigation, called back and advised that I didn't actually need to purchase a policy and my current arrangements would be sufficient.
Really appreciated the good advice and will keep Brunel in mind for any future insurance purposes.

As an executor, I needed comprehensive insurance for a property. Brunel was fantastic. Friendly, efficient, timely and found me the cover I needed at a competitive price.

I have just taken out travel insurance with a really lovely young lady called Wynne Grant she was so knowledgeable and helpful and put my mind at ease . Nothing was too much trouble she explained everything to me and answered all my questions I was very impressed. What a breath of fresh air! I’ve recently taken out 2 insurance policies via Brunel with different companies. One was non-standard building insurance for a house extension and another for contents. Both Katherine and Philip were great to deal with and I ended up saving a significant amount of money than my previous insurer (no broker was used then). Looking forward to renewing and will be going via Brunel!
