the service i received was 5 star from order to delivery

Bought a Rav4. I was initially bit nervous to go ahead with my purchase, although discount was super good.
Really appreciate Mr Michael Lawless, for his patience and prompt responses. He is very genuine and straightforward person, very helpful.

No problems at all with the transaction apart from delays caused by the pandemic and outside of the companies control. Was told of delivery date and car arrived as scheduled.

I have worked in the motor trade most of my life. I have had exceptional service from two companies. One is Car and Van Discount. Michael has been easy to deal with, and has answered any questions quickly. His sense of humour was severely tested by my decision to apply for an interest free loan from the Energy Saving Trust in Scotland. They turned out to be an absolute nightmare to deal with. I would certainly use this company again.

Really straightforward, all done from my desk. Money handled securely, via credit card and debit, with immediate Worldpay receipt. Even during lockdown, good response to phone calls, with quick response if a call back needed. That's refreshing!
Car arrived on time from major dealer. Price was extremely competitive - 3-4K below market offering generally.

Geniune buyer, 55 years old, saw a car online and thought thats a good price, so phoned up and spoke to the most helpful "Mick" Asked several thousand questions which were all answered to my satisfaction then said I would think about it, I was under "no you must buy it now" pressure, unlike other sellers. Mulled it over for a week before deciding, phoned up and said I would buy it. The car I had chosen was out of stock now in the colour I wanted. However Mick persevered and got me the last remaining one in the spec and colour I wanted.. Happy days. I put a deposit down and arranged delivery (unfortunately on the very day lockdown was implemented, so didn`t happen ) Yesterday, my brand new Qashqai was delivered, and my old car taken as PX. The most painless major purchase done without any hassle at all, even the delivery guys were really polite and observed the distancing protocols. Basically, a perfect transaction, and one very happy buyer, who would happily recommend this company to anyone. Thank you Mick especially for all your help!

Time and money waste
Over the course of 4 months I was told numerous excuses and signed two "contracts" that never delivered the car. More that 80 emails and dozen of phone calls. It was a real nightmare. At the end I bought the car from another company and got it delivered in 3 weeks time.

For clarity there were no evidence for damage on transit so maybe sold for a higher price.

There was a second order made but even that was not delivered after 2 months.

Btw: ratings on this site are largly overstated as bad reviews get removed. Look elsewhere for unbiased reviews.

Car and Van Discount (also known as Cort Vehicle Contracts) did not explain or discuss with me during the sales process that the car I was buying was "pre-registered". I had not actually heard of pre-registered vehicles before and so only after the car was delivered faulty did I find out that I am not the registered keeper for the first 11 months. The only way they informed me it was pre-registered was in the additional information section of the quote and contract. They did not discuss or explain this during any conversations. My car is registered to a company called Interguide Group. One which I had not been told about or heard of previously. This meant that my insurance was not valid and I had to pay to get it changed. In addition to this, the car arrived 4 weeks later than estimated. To make matters worse, it also did not arrive on the day it was scheduled to be delivered, having taken the day off work. As a result I had to hire a car from an external company to cover the time I was car-less. Car and Van Discount told me that it had been delayed because the pre-delivery checks had not been completed in time. But when I received the car, the pre-delivery check form had been signed off a week previously. When the car was eventually delivered, it arrived faulty and I am now having to take it to a local dealer to be fixed. I have complained to Car and Van Discount but they fail to accept any responsibility whatsoever. So in summary the car was delivered late, faulty and isn’t registered to me.

Great savings great service would use again any time.
