Charles Clinkard Reviews

I was really impressed by the staff at Stratford upon Avon branch. I was hoping to get my children’s feet measured and then purchase some trainers from them. I was sad to hear that their children’s shoe section was closing. They have always been extremely helpful, friendly and professional. It’s always helpful to be able to get children’s feet measured properly. I purchased one pair in store and one online, due to limited stock. Always excellent shoes. Thank you.

Ordered online … order confirmed and delivered promptly (fast, I’d say). Shoes were superbly presented in the box and the ravages of travel nowhere to be seen.
I’ve never had any reservations about shopping with Clinkards, either face to face or online. The service is top flight and I wish the company every success in the coming years.

Great shoes, fair price and speedy tracked delivery.

I visited the store in Newcastle upon Tyne, Eldon Square. I was looking for a pair of autumn boots. I selected a couple to try on, the assistant was ever so helpful and attentive - as always! I ended up purchasing a beautiful pair of black suede boots by Gabor. The fit was perfect and quality of the product next to none. Thank you!

Great service, wide variety of shoes/colours. My go-to for all my footwear needs.
Just wish more shoe manufacturers made half sizes - it makes a big difference between pinching and slipping off.

I had proof, showing dozens of size 7 lotus boots. These were so small..was going to order bigger. But you have to pay for returns..Very dissapointing.I will stick to lotus online...
Not sure why this size differs. The company, unhelpful and told me to post a negative review....

Ordered wrong shoes in store. Phoned store as I could not get there to pick up. For instant refund store advised call head office. Head office said they would do it. 16 days later not refunded. Called again said they would put refund through, expect it in 5 days. Now waiting for it again.

went to bristol store at cribbscauseway was served by a very helpfull customer service assistant called holly. She was very knowledeable about shoes etc.I Had the foot spray and it really surprised me that it worked. Will definitely shop there again

Nicely packed. Kept informed of delivery. Lovely shoes and bag. Always feels more special than from a phyisical shop as products are packed well and look new rather than having been tried on or on display.

Excellent customer service in the shop in Kircaldy, timely communication thereafter and prompt delivery of my order. Thank you.

I bought boots and the shop didn’t have the colour I wanted so it arranged to get them sent to my home for me. Brilliant service which meant I could carry on shopping without toting boots around with me all day.
Extremely helpful and pleasant staff which I found endearing.

Lovely helpful staff at Leeds branch Tracey was beyond helpful in helping me to choose my shoes as the ones I ordered didn’t fit.
C Clinkards is the only shop I buy shoes from the Gabor ones I chose are extremely comfortable and smart

I purchased a pair Gavin leather slippers which have leather inners, made in Menorca. Just what i have been looking for, very comfortable fast delivery.

Excellent speedy delivery - thank you

Helpful staff

Delivery was ok.
Product clearly had not been checked as shoes were faulty
When I returned them to store the assistant wasn't bothered when I showed the split leather. No apology.
I was not asked if I would like a replacement or if there was anything else in store i might like to look at.

The shoes are lovely. Delivered on time. The shoes are perfect and go well with trousers and skirts.

I have been visiting the Stratford Upon Avon branch for a number of years and have bought numerous pairs of boots and shoes from there and other branches including Burford. I have never had a problem before and the staff have always been helpful. Today the service I received was dire. I was approached at the beginning and asked if I needed any help which I didn't. But I quickly settled on a pair of ankle boots and as there were no available assistants I queued at the desk. The lady in front of me was returning an item and both she and the assistant took an unreasonable amount of time to sort out the issue. I waited and waited and in the end another assistant came up and asked the person behind me if she would like help. So I had to tell her I was waiting to be served and she went to fetch the boots. In the meantime the woman who had been serving finished and I said I was waiting for my boots and just wanted to pay. She walked off in a huff and the other lady returned with my boots. I paid her and only when I gave my details for my customer loyalty card did the other assistant stop stropping around and offered me a bag. My husband had already walked out of the shop as he said he was getting annoyed by the first assistants behaviour. As a shop reliant on seasonal visitors, you may get away with rude behaviour. However it isn't wise to treat regular customers the same as you are likely to get called out on it !!

Purchased Ladies Reiker Jackie Navy shoes size 39 (6) ordered online, website easy to use , great discount , excellent customer service and a great pair of shoes, ready to wear from the get go, no problems. I already have the Jackie Red shoes and have been delighted with the fit.
