We use Convera for forex and payments in foreign currencies. Curtis Palmer, our Account Manager, has always been brilliant. He is responsive, pro-active, and very helpful, and deserves a 5-star rating. The 4-star reflects the room for improvement on their Global Pay platform which can be sleekier and more user friendly.

Convera, and in particular Claire and Stephanie, have been our go to for the best FX rates for a number of years. Despite tough competition they have continued to provide the best rates, in the most efficient manner over this time. We have regular conversations on our future requirements and are able to plan well in advance. Claire always keeps us updated with our forwards and will get in touch with any major macro-economic events or policy changes that may impact us.

Dealing with the team at Convera, especially Erik Snucins and Shaegun, has always been a pleasure.

The best thing about Convera is Erik Snucins. We have used Convera for years and have always been pleased with how convenient the website had been and how easily we could get help when we needed it. But when we started working with Erik, that help hit a new high. He is always available, helpful, quick and a joy to work with. He came through for us in every problem.

Very good communication, always usefully being able to get answers/actions right away. Our account manager in particular is always there and him as well as the team around him is always there when it comes to time sensitive problems like login issues, payments issues or FX rates.
Only scoring this as a 4/5 instead of a 5 Stars Experience because of the delays here and there on the Edge platform. While anything on email is being sorted extremely fast and easy, there were times where cases going through the platform took longer than expected.

Have always had good customer service, particularly with our Client Relationship Manager.

I run a specialist travel business and I've been working with Laura at Convera for four or five years now, and with her at Western Union before it changed its name.
She's taking the time and trouble over the years to understand our FX needs, and to make good suggestions as to how to satisfy them. There's been no pressure sales – and any currency instruments that she suggests are always very well explained, with a discussion on the pros and cons.
So I'm very happy to be working with Laura and Convera; I think they're very good. Hence I was happy to write this review. :-)

For small charities operating overseas it can be challenging to manage exchange rate risks as most mainstream banks do not offer the required services outside of mainstream currencies. Convera provides us with access to forward contracts and overseas payments, plus the ability to keep currency in a holding account for up to 180 days.
Service is prompt and supportive.
