Peter Dawson was splendid
Peter Dawson greeted us along with other colleagues as we looked for dining chairs. Peter left us to browse and when we had a question provided everything we needed to narrow down the choices.
Peter moved chairs across the store for us to compare them together.
Then, against a tight timescale, he processed our order so we could be home for an appointment. Splendid job.

From shop to deliver... Everything was flawless
From shop to delivery, every team member at Cousins was excellent. They helped me find the right product for me (a mattress), and were knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and went above and beyond. Special thank you to Nigel and Olly who delivered it to me! Lovely gentleman, no ask was too big. Will definitely be purchasing all future furniture from Cousins after this great experience.

Buying new bedding
Needed some bedding and saw Debbie. Debbie was fantastic giving really great advice on what benefits each type of pillow and duvet I was considering. Debbie helped me understand the value of getting a proper lush duvet and supportive pillows. The showroom looked gorgeous upstairs and the other staff were very friendly as well. Would definitely shop there when need a brand new bed

Appalling quality and non-existent…
Appalling quality and non-existent customer service
Do not buy from Cousins Furniture unless you want to waste your money and months of your time.
I purchased a wardrobe from them, and the quality is complete rubbish. The frame has structurally warped and bowed out of shape completely—the right side has bulged out at the middle by nearly 12 inches, and the bottom left side has shifted out by 5 to 6 inches. It is completely unusable and structurally unsafe.
Trying to get Cousins to fix this has been an absolute nightmare. I have been back and forth with their team for 4 to 6 weeks now, and they are doing nothing to resolve the issue. Getting them to agree to either a repair or a full refund is like pulling teeth.
They take your money gladly, but when their furniture fails, they leave you stranded. Save yourself the stress and shop elsewhere.
Cousins is sending out engineers who produce completely fabricated reports to avoid resolving genuine customer safety issues.
The engineer was at my house for exactly 8 minutes—from the moment I opened the front door to the moment he left. Yet, his official report falsely claims he spent an hour inspecting the wardrobe, despite never even opening or properly examining it.
Even more absurdly, he claimed in his report that the wardrobe was kept in a "damp" environment prior to assembly because it was in an extension. This extension was built over 25 years ago and has zero moisture issues.
It is deeply deceitful for Cousins to rely on blatantly false technician reports to avoid replacing a dangerous piece of furniture after six weeks of delays.
Thank you for your reply, but your claims are simply not true.
False Claims About Voicemails: You claim you left me a voicemail, but I have received no calls or voicemails from you. I explicitly requested—both over the phone and across multiple emails—that you use my direct contact details. Instead, you are still attempting to contact my sister.
Ignoring Safety Risks for 4 Weeks: Your team acknowledged four weeks ago that this wardrobe is structurally dangerous, yet you are expecting my family—including two young children aged 5 and 7—to live alongside a hazard.
Speculation & False Reports: Spending 8 minutes on site, speculating about "damp storage" that never happened, and marking a collapsed wardrobe as "Repairs Completed: Yes" is completely unacceptable.
I am traveling abroad in a week due to a critical family emergency (my father is very ill). Given the extreme delay over the last six weeks and the active danger in my home, I need this resolved immediately before I leave.
Please contact ME on my actual phone number today to arrange the urgent removal and replacement of this item.

Our teams can only contact the number provided on the order at the time of purchase. We now understand that you have requested that we use your direct contact number instead, and we have passed your number to the relevant team so they can contact you directly today.
We also acknowledge your concerns regarding the independent technician's report. As previously explained, the independent technician has accepted responsibility for the incorrect “Repairs Completed: Yes” entry on the report. We have clarified that no repair was carried out during the visit and that this was an administrative error.
We do not wish for this matter to remain unresolved, and someone from the relevant team will be contacting you today to discuss the situation and the next steps regarding the wardrobe.
As we will now be in direct discussion with you shortly, we hope to work together to resolve the outstanding issues. For this reason, we will not continue responding to further additions to the public review while this matter is being actively discussed with you directly. We believe this is the most appropriate way to progress the situation and work towards a resolution, rather than continuing the conversation through the review platform.

After months of waiting
After months of waiting, and being told by the Head of Department, Store Manager and Area Manager that our wardrobes were broken and that it was acceptable for us to wait from the end of May, when we paid, until the end of October — leaving us without wardrobes for months — we finally had some good news.
The lovely Denise at the Shrewsbury branch went above and beyond to make sure everything was sorted for us. Along with the great work of Nigel and another gentleman (sorry, I didn’t get your name), they made sure everything was there and put together for us.
It just goes to show that some people really do still believe that customer satisfaction should be a priority. It’s a shame that this level of care wasn’t shown to us from the beginning, and perhaps something the Head of the Company should take notice of.
A massive thank you again to Denise, Nigel and the gentleman who was with Nigel on Wednesday. We really do appreciate everything you did to put things right for us.

Time To Purchase A New Sofa
Our first time in Store and we were pleasantly surprised by the size of the store and choice of Furniture on offer. Special mention for Simon, who guided us around the Department without being pushy, his product knowledge and guidance was invaluable towards us making our choice. We had been shopping around for a while but after our visit we were more than happy to make a decision whilst in Store.
