George was amazing!! We have been doing business with them for years and this is the first time I had to reach out to customer service and I would 10000000000% recommend this company, their support, and their products.

Refused to correct type of strings in the order
I have not noticed that I added Light tension strings into my shopping cart instead of Medium. Placed order. Immediately reached out to their order support to correct the order (the price is identical) to show Medium. They responded that no changes to the order are allowed for some obscure reason of shipping it quickly (the order has not shipped yet), but that after receiving the order I can return it (and pay the shipping fee, of course). They shipped the order one day AFTER I reached out to them.
[UPDATE after receiving reply] So the order was in fact shipped more than TWO days after I reached out to correct the order. It sounds like to make the shipping process simpler for the company, customers are left out to dry: instead of the item I want, an item I don't want is "quickly" (after 2 full business days) is shipped to me, and I am asked to waste time and money on return.
I actually regret ordering directly with d'Addario - if I ordered the same thing from Amazon, I would not have this problem (changing order, canceling order, doing free return if I need to), and I would also get 5% cash back on my purchase. Not the end of the world, but lesson learned.

When placing order I get "There was an error processing your payment. Please try again or try with another card". Somebody should probably look into fixing this.

What's Not To Like!!!
Over a span of time of about four months, I have acquired four guitars. All are dressed with D'Addario strings and they all sound majestic. I have used other brands in the past. D'Addario is simply a cut above all others, in my opinion.
Orders placed get to my doorstep in very short order and George in Customer Service is never far away if I need to communicate about anything. I wouldn't want to buy from any other brand...I'm getting the best.

Sadly, D'addario isn't what it used to be
First, I used to order from here and even received some swag or merch from time to time. Illness forced early retirement but I still try to play when I can. I bought my strings (double bass, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, fiddle, and banjo from them.
Placed an order on Nov 7, 2025 and now I get email about Black Friday deals. Asked if they could adjust or do something and they credit me 200 players circle points.
What happened to real customer service? It's not like a little merch complimentary would break them. Would like to say I won't be back but the truth is, I can't find any other bass strings (specifically) that are anywhere near to what they have. I'll be back... Just with lower expectations.

Extremely disappointed
Extremely disappointed. I play pro arte EJ30 rectified nylon, normal tension. The trebles have now been replaced (it has been confirmed) with clear polished strings, but with no change in description. The packaging even continues to refer to “lightly textured” trebles. I just wasted 50 dollars on 3 sets because of this. I will have to say farewell to D’Addario after many, many years as a loyal customer.

I’ve been playing instruments since I was 12 years old, so roughly 46 years! For the last 30 years, I have purchased so many D’Addario guitar strings and always had great sound and trust with them!! There was only one time that I’ve called the company to report a problem, and they were incredibly quick to respond with a resolution. I can’t stress enough that this is a company that everyone should do business. They make great quality equipment, and their a company you can trust.
There’s some companies that make very good products, but they don’t have very good customer support. This is not one of those companies… They make very good product, and they have very excellent customer service. It just seems that it’s not something that’s very common these days.

I had questions regarding my two latest Bass guitars and "string thru" string availablilty, and several other related questions. One of their customer tech guys, George responded quickly and was of immense help in answering all my questions... which, were spread out over several emails, and All were responded to, within mere minutes of my asking. I applaud D'Addario's customer service, and George... they are a great credit to D'Addario and their Outstanding product line of strings. I use D'Addario Strings exclusively on all my Electric Bass guitars (9), my Banjo's and Mandolins.
