Guitar now safely received after delay. Was described as in stock but in fact was not and I had to wait about ten days. However, good price and quality so not complaining.
Not a good experience
Paid for in May. Couldn't be dispatched as the power supply was located elsewhere or out of stock or something. Was then shipped minus the power supply regardless, and despite promises the power supply would be sent on ASAP it's now September and still nothing. So many places to buy music gear online, I just won't bother with a company that charges the full price and sends half the equipment. I've given months of benefit of the doubt and can't be bothered anymore. I don't even know if it works. Appalling service, and when this was (politely) pointed out, no reply.

And now I contact them after many phone calls without any answer. I’ve sent an email today and received back an email that my order has been cancelled.

The first and last time I will use Dawsons! Huge ordering delays, lack of transparency and very poor communication. Mid-June, I tried to order a book of duets for a child's birthday; on the site the book was shown as in stock. After a few days I received an email: the book was out of stock and would arrive early July; I decided to wait and was told that I would be kept informed of any further delays. Two weeks after the date I'd been told the book would be available, I chased up the order, which still hadn't arrived (with no news in the meantime) and was told it would now be mid-August. Again, I agreed to wait and asked to be told immediately if there would be any further delay. By late August, with no news and still no book, I cancelled the order and requested a refund. Total waste of time.

Everyone warned me about Dawsons
I have guitar lessons at a very popular music school jn Manchester EVERYONE there says to never use Dawsons, either online or in store. I wish I had listened, I've been waiting 8 days for a small item to be despatched, and still the wait goes on. I should've listened. Everyone recommends PMT. I've ordered a few things from Andertons, never waited more than 2 days.
If I could give NO stars I would.
I gave one star because you can't give zero stars. Order something, it disappears into thin air. Try and call, £themailbox you are trying to reach is full". I will never ever buy from this company again. It's a shame, I remember them being a nice independent music store in Warrington.

Not answering their phone, no infos of the order - update)
Ordered on 8th of August through OpenPay (paid for the first instalment). Today is 20 of the month. Nothing delivered yet. They won't pick up their phone, no matter how many times you call. I'm sorry I didn't read the reviews here about this shop earlier. I could've order from Amazon and had my things here a week ago.
LE: received a reply on my email from Dawsons. Apparently YAMAHA is at fault for the delay. I'll try to contact YAMAHA and ask what's going on with my order. If I would pay in the same manner my bills...
LE: the order was cancelled after all. Unfortunately the product couldn't be delivered, as it wasn't on Yamaha's stock.
Please, do yourself a favour and avoid...
Absolutely shocking experience - Tried to order a Surf Pearl Fender Telecaster from this business, it's a few years old and a limited edition, so i was surprised to see it online. Ordered on Sunday 8th August, called them a few times to see where the order number was, I then saw the DPD displatch updated on the Friday, saying that they were waiting for the item...
A few days and a few different stories later (Guitar being at a shop, someone driving to the shop who might have picked it up, more nonsense) - And they've decided that they can't find it, and they want to issue me a refund instead...
I've got to say, throughout the whole painful process, they said they'd keep in touch via email / phone... They didn't and I feel a bit embarassed for having trusted them in the first place...
My advice, buy local and if these guys are local to you, avoid...
Looking forward to a seamless refund process... Hhaha, as if... This is going to go on for a while.
