Poor customer service.

I ordered a $39 part, paid $69 express shipping. The part cleared through customs in Portugal. The part was sent back to Dennis Kirk. I sent a message to Dennis Kirk with no response.

Ordered an item that was suppose to…

Ordered an item that was suppose to ship in 3 days and got an email 2 days later saying it'd take 2 months. They advertise one thing and then do another. Complete waste of time.

This customer ordered a special order item which states ships in 4-5 business days. When placing the order for the item to ship from our supplier to the customer, we were made aware that it was on backorder, which is when we notified the customer.

Literal worst shopping experience ever.

Placed an order. Never went through, never was notified. Had to place new order at a later date, delaying my parts. Reached out to customer service about this. Didn't receive response until my 3rd inquiry, days later. Then customer service had the nerve to basically tell me to get lost. I spoke with the supervisor and was told to get lost again. Offered no help, no reconciliation, and they didn't even care about what the actual issues were in the first place. Worst company I've had the displeasure of ordering from.

What this customer fails to acknowledge is he was upset claiming nobody was replying to his emails when he was replying to an email that clearly stated do not reply. So when he finally emailed customer service directly, he received a reply right away. The customer could also not provide and order number for the order that he placed which would have been on his confirmation. Most likely the part was still in his cart and he never actually hit submit on the order, in which he would have received a confirmation right away. The customer was argumentative and would not accept the fact that he never completed an order which Dennis Kirk cannot rectify on his behalf. He needed to go back to the website and complete his checkout. He has never placed an order with us.

Getting the run around on my parts

When I ordered my part I was expecting about 7-10 business days to receive the order but I haven’t received an email saying anything about it. I called and asked if there was any update on my order and I was then told that I wouldn’t be receiving it until the end of June. I placed my order on May 29 and I’m not ever going to use Dennis Kirk again for anything dealing with my bike. This company is a joke claiming the they have everything in stock. If I could get them an eighth of a star I would.

I gave a one because I couldn’t do a zero. Be ready to wait and wait. I ordered a bearing on May 3, May 9 came and went with no parts and probably same nasty customer service rep. Can’t even get money back because I ve never received parts to return. I hope they enjoy my money for nothing. I’ll just eat them and NEVER,, EVER order from them again!

I've ordered two different helmets

I've ordered two different helmets. Both have showed that they have them available and they ship in 4-5 days. Each time I have ordered the company says they are backordered indefinitely. I've had to cancel two times now. It seems very shady to show stuff not available as available.

They canceled both orders, but I have to wait for money to be returned to me. Very disappointing in their honesty and listing items as available that are obviously not.

False Discounts Offered

Was looking at a new helmet on the website and actually put it in my cart but did not complete purchase as I wasn’t quite sure. A few days later I get an e mail offering 10% off to complete purchase with a code.
I decided to do the purchase only to find out the 10% off was a come on. It would not accept the code. I called Dennis Kirk and was told they cannot give the discount on this item. I asked why the email and was told that’s a marketing issue and she doesn’t know why they do that. I do. Lady on the call was nice enough but had no answer for me.
Just be aware of these false claims of discounts when using this site.

There is a discount exclusions tab that shows brands that are not eligible due to MAP policies that Dennis Kirk has no control over. These are controlled by the manufacturer. The retailer is penalized if they discount these ineligible brands. Every item left in cart customer is sent the email, it does not recognize or check brands. There should be a discount exclusions link in that email as well

This customer placed an order on our website on Friday 2/27. At the time of order, the item the customer purchased clearly stated that the item would ship in 4-5 days. The customer must have missed this. The customer then called our sales line Monday morning telling us we didnt meet our promise of shipping the same day. The customer was told this is a dropship and ships from another warehouse hence the ships in 4-5 days. The customer insisted this was not correct , he was told to call back for customer service. The customer then called back after 8am and spoke to customer service. Our customer service rep tried to explain this to him nicely, but he just insisted he was correct and that we were just pulling one over on him. We did let him know this was shipping from our vendor today and he should see this soon. All calls are recorded and we would be happy to share the call with trust pilot. The customers order is shipping Fed Ex from North Carolina and he should see it by Wednesday.

Solid crash bars made by Puig (Espanol)

I found that the website had clear description with relevant information on the item, confirming compatibility for year, model of my bike. Purchased a Puig 6537N crash bar for 2013 BMW F800GS. Transaction was easy, keeping me informed with the status of the order as well the shipping ETA. Item arrived within a few day very well packaged for safe transport. Installation was easy and straightforward using the hardware kit provided. The Puig crash bars are very solid, nicely made with matte black finish.

Boyesen clutch covet

Terrible service. I received a Boyesen clutch cover for a CRF 450 X, and as soon as I installed it, the gasket started leaking. I contacted them and they said they don't supply the gasket, and told me to contact Boyesen directly.

Interesting approach to customer…

Interesting approach to customer service. I ordered and installed a Hogworkz driver backrest for my 2020 Harley Ultra Limited. After installing the backrest, I noticed the installed position of the backrest did not line up with the back of the seat and would not allow me to sit all the way back. So, I sent the item back. I was given a $42.75 refund on a $183.00 backrest, the item sent back to me, and then when I called to check on the reasoning, I was even more disappointed. The customer service rep began to get an attitude when I began to ask questions why I wasn't given a full refund for a defective product. She stated that since it was installed it didn't qualify for a refund. What???? How was I to know it was defective unless I installed it? Very disappointing process and customer service experience. Last purchase at Dennis Kirk for me. BUYER BEWARE

Customer purchased and installed this backrest in July. Called and told us there was some rust in the welds so we offered him a 25% discount to keep it . He agree and stated he had already mounted it, did not say anything at that time, 4 months ago about it not lining up. He proceeded to use it for 4 months and sent it back as a return marked "no longer needed" The customer used the product for the riding season and then tried to send it back for a refund. The 42.75 refund he got in August was for keeping the product as is due to light rust from the factory, which had nothing to do with this return.

This is incorrect information, We do ship all orders the same day Monday - Friday if placed before 6pm CST. The issue with Brad's order lies with the postal service who failed to scan the package they picked up from us. Per USPS, it can take up to 48 hours for them to scan the packages during normal business levels, and longer during peak. It left our business on a USPS the same day. We have daily pickups at 7pm from all carriers.

In life someone's has to pay for mistakes

They are the worst when it comes to customer service. I received the wrong carburetor. Since I'm in alaska they won't cover shipping for the return. 54.20 each way for a $170 carb. They said in like mistakes are made and someone has to pay for them. Today that someone was me. Beware the old beotch in customer service at Dennis Kirk. Never again will I purchase from Dennis Kirk. The information provided in this review is inaccurate. The customer was not sent the wrong carb, the customer received exactly what he ordered, it was the customer who ordered the incorrect carb for his 04 Honda Rancher 400 4x4. Had the customer been sent the wrong item, we would have gladly covered shipping. We do not cover shipping from AK when the customer receives the correct product that they ordered.

Had them at my house 3 days later. I also order a helmet for my son . It was too small and I returned it without any issues. From these 2 experience they seem like a good store.

Do not order parts from here

Do not order parts from here . Before they even know if they have the part in stock they withdraw from your bank account immediately . Or if you order and within a minute cancel your order they still remove money from your account . Bye law the money shouldn't be withdrawn until the part is shipped . This is a failing parts store who will rob the customer hoping they don't notice . Then when you call them out on it they refuse to admit any wrong doing. JP cycles and revzilla are where you won't get conned out of money like I did .

Horrible customer service

I would like to share my experience with this company. I ordered 12-inch chrome Yaffee bars and unfortunately received 14-inch bars instead. Upon contacting customer service to report the issue, I was informed that I was mistaken, as were the mechanics at Harley Davidson who were installing the bars. The customer service representative was quite dismissive and suggested that I return the bars so they could determine the correct size. I found her attitude to be very rude and condescending. As a result, I will not be making any further purchases from this company.
