I had a very satisfactory experience…
I had a very satisfactory experience with deVere in Malaysia. Andrew Murray was professional, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout the process. He took the time to understand my needs and provided clear guidance, which led to results I’m very satisfied with. Overall, a positive and smooth experience.
Poor experience after several years
Poor experience after several years. Poor advise. Lost 20% on structure notes. Relationship manager contact almost nonexistent. Original account opened in Dubai.
Utterly vile experience
Utterly vile experience, both financially and customer service wise.
Terrible fund growth, massive fees.
Account managers extremely difficult to contact. Last time, I had to threaten an official complaint to get a response. Still a further 3 weeks.
I would advise to stay well clear.
Special Thanks to Jaruis and Adam Booth…
Special Thanks to Jaruis and Adam Booth for all their hard work in looking after my finances.
Nothing was too much work and Thanks for going the extra mile and ensuring all transactions and business was achieved with no problems.
Very bad experience!
Very bad experience!
Between 2017 and 2024, while the MSCI world index has grown more than 140%, my investment has grown less than 5% overall!!! In the meantime they have taken very, very generous fees...
High standards
Clean, excellent customer service. Receptionist Sarah so polite and courteous. Everyone lovely. Worth it.
In my personal experience
In my personal experience, I was sold a very expensive mutual fund. Most of the gains were eaten up by high fees and to get out I have to pay them around $30,000.
So they've had my money for 10 years. Charged enough fees that I made less than by simply having a bank account (and lost money when considering inflation). Now I've finally lost patience they will charge me enormous cancellation fees. Oh and the stock market is at an all-time high but somehow I only make around 2% per year. They originally said 6-8% was a typical year.
It was a very profitable relationship for them. Obviously I don't recommend.
deVere Group
deVere Group - (Interview process)
First stage was a Teams meeting that lasted up to 40 mins. Ahmed Ibraheem was very professional, using a headset & customize back ground to maintain privacy. Ahmed was wearing a smart shirt and tie (standing) using an electric standing table. He explained role as a protection advisor and the salary earning potential. This lasted up to 4 days of me soaking up as much information about the role , before I was invited back to the office the 5th day.
2nd stage - Commuted to the London office in Hammersmith where I met Ahmed in person . I received supplementary drinks and was instructed to do a presentation in front on team based on why I want to join the company. After the presentation we went out to a takeaway spot paid for by the company. I was then giving a separate headset connected to a live call where I was able to take notes . Ahmed after showed me how to log the call , and navigate on the system, once the client has agreed to purchase one of the products.
3rd stage- I was given a chance to generate a lead (client) for my self through a online discount for Nuffield gym that was add-on to a Critical illness cover. I then travelled to different gyms promoting deVere Group products/ discount offers. I noted down the clients name/ email and set up teams meeting for Ahmed to schedule. Once I gathered up to 10+ leads; Ahmed invited back to officer to close the deal on Teams. Ahmed through his experience was able to filter out a particular client who purchased critical illness cover. I then received 20% of the sale which is £200. This was perfect training leading to actual role as senior protection advisor.
Date of experience - 03/07/2023 - 07/07/2023
I will definitely recommend joining the company.
DO NOT INVEST with De Vere!!
When 50% of the reviews are 1 star, this is already a red flag! Unfortunately when i was convinced by an this so called investment company a few years ago to take out this investment, I did not know this. I have had more 'advisors' than I can count over the last few years, as their staff turnover seems to be very high, and each time I needed to re-explain the situation. The retirement policy I was sold (from Hansard) was not what they promised it to be, with fees higher than returns, we took out what we could, and were forced to leave the rest behind. The policy was given a 'paid up' status, with a maturity date in a few years time.
At no time did any of my 'advisor's warn me that this could happen, and I considered it a nice fund that I would get in a few years.
After setting up 3 separate calls - all of which were either cancelled at the last minute, or just a no show, I realise that this company is even worse than i first imagined. Do not work with this company!
Intentionally deceptive from first contact
The company tracked me on LinkedIn, contacted me and then cold-called me. They did their homework and tailored their offering and pitch to my circumstance. While unconventional, I can respect that.
But immediately in that first contact they lied to me in an attempt to create fabricated urgency. "Very recent changes to the law", "unique opportunity", "the landscape may change". Turns out the "very recent" changes to the law are nearly 10 years old. Intentional deception from the first contact.
A quick online search showed me a "Financial Ruin by deVere Advisors" Facebook group, full of personal account reports of bad experiences, whose mere existence is a further red flag.
I have been with Devere since 2016 and…
I have been with Devere since 2016 and had trust on them but recently I have figured out that I was kept in the dark !
I increased gradually my investment base on trust and hiring them to manage this recommended investment , at the moment I have lost 3 big investment that was recommended by my advisor and this happened the past 2 years but when I asked the advisor to give me report of my investment, she is always super satisfied! Till this day she denied my lost
There is no clarity with them and not trustworthy!
Watch out !!!
Lost £10k from 2018-2020
Lost £10k from 2018-2020. They didn't explain the investment fund properly, hid facts that were in the T&C and highly emphasized the ability to withdraw funds.
Wanted to stop paying into the fund after 2 years, apparently this isn't possible as it funds the managers bonus and covers the company costs!!! What a scam.
I was told, before investing, that I can withdraw funds at any time. Their investment is a complete waste of time and money and paying them a yearly percentage is an absolute scam. Anyone else in similar position and considering this I urge to you AVOID Providence / Devere Group - you can invest in S&P500, FTSE, etc, various global mutual funds personally and without paying a pointless fee to an "investment" firm (more like scam sales firm).
Avoid them like the plague
Takes weeks to get any response from them and then they don’t answer your queries, despite multiple emails asking them for information. This hasn’t just happened once but multiple times over the years since I signed up to them. Hard hard sell and then they fall flat on their face with customer service once they have hooked you in.Original salesperson denied the fact that he told us all the information when we questioned him. Awful just awful and I’m stuck with them for a ridiculous amount of time.
Super High Turnover
Super High Turnover. They find someone who can do one of the worst jobs on the planet. You have to be morally wrong and an absolute savage on the phone. Sell people shit they don't need and go home after and be proud of yourself. It takes a certain type of person to last there. Ie - psychopath

Run away!!! TOTAL SCAM.
Stole $180,000.
I filed a complaint because I couldn't stand losing so much money. There was pressure, but in the end, I recovered all that I had deposited.
I am open to share
This company is completely misleading…
This company is completely misleading and not worth your time, especially if you have a degree or are serious about a career in finance.
I applied for what was advertised as an Investment Banking role on Indeed. After applying, I was told I needed to complete a “Trainee Academy” to move forward. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, even after reading negative reviews, and fully committed. I took time off university and went through multiple interviews, assignments, product tests, webinars, and a four-day training program.
At the very end of this long process, they finally revealed that the role I applied for never existed. Instead, they tried to redirect me into a completely unrelated cold-calling sales training program. It had absolutely nothing to do with investment banking or private equity.
To make matters worse, the salary they offer across all locations is around £1,200 per month. In some places it might be slightly more, but nothing beyond £1,300 or £1,400. This is shockingly low considering the expectations and the cities they operate in.
This is not a real route into finance. It is a misleading recruitment tactic that takes advantage of motivated candidates looking for genuine opportunities. It might be an option for someone with no other path, but if you have a degree or real career goals, do not waste your time here.
They overpromise, underdeliver, and ultimately show little respect for your time or ambition. I gave them a fair chance. They failed.

Antwoord van deVere Group
I have lost more than 80 % of what I invested in cash more than 18 years ago.invested USD 103 000 in a collective…
I invested USD 103 000 in a collective investment bond with this company in Qatar in 2007. I was promised quarterly meetings with the advisor for him to give me advise. Subsequently, the company closed their Qatar office, closed their Dubai office, closed their Oman office, closed their South African office etc. As of 2025, My investment is worth USD 21000 and I am battling to get the money out of a company Utmost in the Isle of man. They are making me jump through hoops to provide them with all sorts of information before they will pay out. I have received no advice in 18 years, the bond has been handled by several organisations over the years and I have made several attempts to stop the constant fees. I hold De Vere totally responsible for the losses. What they are doing is destroying peoples lives by hiding behind their lawyers, the small print in their systems and collusion with other corrupt financial organisations.
Stay away form de Vere at all cost
A few weeks ago I wrote a review of the pathetic service that, for four years (from 2020 to 2024) I received from the Mexican subsidiary of de Vere Group. Today I received a message from Trustpilot informing that my review was removed for “containing possible defamatory accusations”. I have expressed to Trustpilot my absolute willingness to present the evidence for each of the arguments contained in that message, which I summarize below.
1. de Vere Gropup is the typical financial company that will approach you with a lot of kindness and good treatment in the first meetings, but then it will basically disappear and it will be up to the customer to chase it to be served.
2. de Vere Group has the highest personnel rotation you've ever seen in a company. In four years I had five financial advisors, which basically leaves the client in an absolute state of defenselessness, because there is no institutional strategy and invariably the advisor in turn will blame the previous one for the decisions and poor performance of your portfolio.
3. De Vere Group has no incentive for its clients to do well (and it shows) because its commissions are totally unrelated to the financial performance of its clients. Always look for advisors whose fees are related to the performance of your financial boards.
4. After the departure of each advisor, with de Vere Group it will be up to the client to pursue the company to be served again and it is impossible to demand that there be the slightest continuity in the strategy because the new advisor will start the relationship as if you were a new client and promote new strategies criticizing his predecessor.
5. When they retire, each advisor will seek to get you to maintain the relationship with him or her by talking badly about the company they are leaving (and I don't blame them)
I have dozens of emails that can prove every word of what I expose here. I wish de Vere were as good a financial advisor as he is to accuse defamation.
Fantastic support for all financial…
