Dreams - Nottingham Lady Bay Reviews 

Having happily taken £3158 off me for a new mattress, bed, and pillows - 18 months later they have absolutely no interest in helping with an issue, even after the technician they sent out made an official report of, and I quote "THE LAY TEST SHOWED THE
MATTRESS IS NOT SUPPORTIVE." as per their official document.

We purchased a Tempur cloud mattress with an Ottoman based, Tempur pillows and mattress protector in August 2020. 18 months later I can no longer sleep on the mattress without causing myself significant back problems, the mattress has lost all support right in the centre where my lower back sits. It's that bad I currently have to sleep with a pillow under my bum to stop me from sinking into the bed. (I am 13st if it matters)

I called dreams customer service to explain the issue who then sent a technician out to inspect the bed. The report came back stating that the bed had sunk on the dip test 10mm which was within the 20mm tolerance, however, the "lay test" showed that the mattress wasn't offering support. I had assumed this would result in some action being taken, I was wrong. I ended up recording the phone call to customer services because I couldn't believe what I was hearing, some lady just stuttering and making up excuses and again I quote, "Although it isn't supportive we need to understand if it's within tolerance". So by Dreams' own definition, a mattress doesn't have to offer support, it just needs to be within tolerance - which is subjective. I was also informed by the same lady that the technician had "clicked the wrong button" on the report and the mattress was fine, she assured me this was the case until I pointed out that the technician had typed this report with free text, not ticked a button - she was just outright lying.

I disputed that the mattress was acceptable and they sent a second technician out, who also confirmed that the dip test was within tolerance but now explained to me that a lay test is pointless on a memory foam mattress as it's subjective. He couldn't tell me what he was even testing for - it was total nonsense. He just advised that next time I buy a firm mattress.

I am now left with a £2200 mattress that isn't fit for purpose, my £200 10-year-old Ikea mattress is infinitely more comfortable. I sincerely hope that no one else falls for this sales b******* and just buys a cheap mattress because 18 months down the line, the mattress you thought you were getting for the next 10 years will not be what you end up with.

I was also promised a call back from the manager, which was over a week ago, and I have not heard anything.

Please, avoid this company.

UPDATE - The next steps were to tell me that Dreams aren't going to do anything about the issue. Although a technician they sent wrote on the report that the mattress isn't supportive, this alone isn't enough to prove a fault.

Emma informed me that "A lay test on its own wouldn’t prove a fault with a mattress." so you have to ask yourself, what is the point of a lay test? You tell me. Absolute waste of my time and 2 days spent at home waiting for technicians to arrive.

As before, please, whatever you do, avoid this company.

The horror of shopping for furniture cannot be overstated for my wife and I. However, as the springs erupted from our old mattress into ribs, back, and beyond, we realised with a sinking feeling that we needed to visit a bed shop. We stepped warily into Dreams, ready to face the wrath of the retail experience. How wrong we were. We were guided on our odyssey by Beth, navigator of the clean, airy and - most of all - quiet shop. After a foray into the Sleepmatch machine, we were directed towards a pared down, yet comprehensive - range of options. Pillows in hand, we fed on the fruits of the expert opinions offered to us, and felt the range of construction techniques behind our supine bodies. Within the hour, and having been gifted ample time to appraise and reappraise each offering in an unhurried manner, we chose the victor. Minutes later, the purchase was complete, and a date set for the union between man and mattress barely a fortnight away. What a pleasure. What a joy. What a - well - dream.

We visited Dreams in Nottingham for a new Mattress and was attended to by Felix .He was very knowledgeable and after using the Sleep Match machine , he told us what mattresses it had matched us to. The service was absolutely brilliant and at no time did we get rushed into a decision. Very happy with the whole experience and will certainly use again. Well done Dreams and very well done Felix.

Extremely satisfied with the in-store experience, quality of products and with the delivery men who did a first-class job of installing everything and removing waste packaging etc.
I wanted to give a first rate review on my experience but was not sent the email link by those responsible for this! I phoned the store to ask about the survey and was simply told to phone up about it myself!
Eventually I did get the link but it took the shine off what would have been a 5 STAR rating!

Very helpful store staff and delivery drivers

The mattress was covered with plastic which was dirty and wet. They blamed it on the van which was dirty. They then dragged it up the stairs, then left dirty marks on the carpet and the staircase wall.
They then put the mattress in the dirty plastic and our new bed!

From start to finish an excellent service from both sales and delivery teams.

Great products, reasonable prices, excellent and attentive customer service. Loved the dreams sleep match experience which gives you a personalised report so you can make an informed choice.

The showroom staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The bed frame was quickly assembled by friendly staff and looks really stylish. I'm very pleased with this product.

Excellent customer service at this store. I felt safe and comfortable during this Covid-19 time and all my needs were met without feeling I had to rush.

Visited Dreams in Nottingham and Vivek was amazing! He was incredibly personable and knowledgeable throughout the whole experience and gave us great advice! We never felt pressured and left having ordered a new mattress, bed frame and pillows after Vivek spending time listening to what we needed.
