Absolutely got into a trap after receiving the Dubai First credit card.

They charge you ridiculous amounts

First when the sales representative called me to get a credit card and did not mentioned that the card was not free of charge. Later after signing the application one of my friend from FAB told me that there are Annual charges with this card from Dubai First. I had immediately called them on 18.01.2022 to stop the application and they confirmed that the application was stopped but immediately on the 19.02.2022 they issued the card with a limit of AED 25000. I had filed a complain again with Dubai First but they kept on ignoring it. Then i went on my annual vacation so i could not log any complaint with Central Bank. Now they have billed me AED 420 to be paid against this card which i do not want because i had never wanted this card at first place.
Bank Response: Dubai First Bank response was they did acknowledge the complain verbally for 2 times. After their first acknowledgement they did not log any system entry due to which the card application got processed. 2nd time also they acknowledge but no system entry and 3rd time when I had informed that i am filing the case against you on 21st Jan then only they registered the case in their system but nobody called. Their total response was not up to the mark which caused me lot of trouble.

One of the worst experiences to use Dubai First credit card, at first the agent told me that it's free for life, surprised that they are deducting 400 AED annually, second thing my name on the card is written in a wrong way, when I asked to replace it they responded after 40 days by blocking my card and I have to wait for 5-10 business days to receive the new one, 3rd thing they changed the online cash-back from 5% to 3% and utilities payment from 5% to 0.25% !!

Bank added annual fee for my inactive free for life credit card, they send an email an SMS mentioning that with other promotions so the client will not notice 🙂
Interests fee started accumulating since they didn't send any monthly statement through email or SMS
Destroyed my bureau credit score may led to reduce in the amount of my other credit cards and the rejection of loan i applied for from another bank
Above all these damages you have to pay the money so they will cancel your card

I had Dubai first free for life card. Once that card is expired bank send send me platinum card which i have not opened and not activated. Bank start generating statements every month. I have received tax invoice and called the bank and they told you have 738 AED outstanding balance. I am paying now and closing card even I have not activated. Worst experience with Dubai First.

For all those planning to get cc on this bank think 100x because this is the worst bank I’ve encountered here in UAE. They will encourage first with no annual fee then at the long run they will charge and if ever you fight for your right they will not listen and will talk rude and disconnect the calls while talking from customer service. If u dont want to regret dont try them at all!!!!

Very very very worst bank in UAE. Worst customer service and agents are like oh my god, very worst. Please ever don't go for this card.

Worst Experience with a credit card in UAE.
The sales guy "Muhammad Baloch" lied to me saying that the card is free for life. But as soon as I got the card they charged me 399 AED + vat. I kept calling Mohammad Baloch and he kept telling me that their system got updated and I will get my money back next month. 5 months have passed and I still didn't get the money back. And now he is not picking my calls. Worst bank and fraud salespeople.

This is the worst service I have seen in UAE .No response from customer care we have to wait for 30 mins on call queue to talk this genius executives and they will charge the membership assessment without any prior notice they think they have owned us. Literally very poor service I have paid all the outstanding amount for last statement still this brilliant marketing specialist charge us for finance charges. I strongly recommend not to go for Dubai first until they clear the customer issues

Someone from the Bank sales came to our office and explain to us that credit card is free for life and I agreed to have that credit card before I activate the card I came to know that is not free then I requested card cancellation and cancelled however my data was still with them without my request and information they prepare another credit card for me and called me to collect it from Aramex, I do not accepted the card and I rejected because it is not my request finally I request to cancel the new card which made by their decition and they ask me to pay the membership fee first then we will cancel it I say ok and paid the amount and still not cancelled the card but I have a concern my data still with them again they will prepare other card for me what to do I do not know

Check their marketing skills : Credit Card that says Free for life *(conditions apply)..got me charged 2 times membership fees... please read carefully before applying with them not at all professional and zero ethics.

The card is giving a good cashback, not a lie. However, I don't recommend it at all a lot of hassle. Interest charges are so high, fooled about the free annual fee, they will suddenly change their policy in two months and let you know that they will charge an annual fee moving forward, where you don't have any option. After charging me the annual fee they crashed my mobile banking, I don't have any track with my transactions, I don't know my card balance at all. Customer service repeated response is annoying and not helpful at all. You will not receive a notification for every transaction. Get a stress-free card instead as the cashback can't pay the stress this company will give.

Dubai First applied annual membership for my credit card which was agreed to be free a year later without my consent and purchased an insurance policy on my behalf prior to having any alignment from my end. Now they billed me 756aed for a credit I have never used and that they refused to waive any charges.

I strongly do not recommend this card. My experience was a night mare. Every week their app goes on upgrade, you may not be able to login with your credentials. Reaching their customer care is the biggest hassle as you may have to wait for 20 to 30 mins in that call queue. The sales guy who sold the card to you will never pick call after the card issued. Worst part they may revise the policies at any point so you may get a surprise that in the current statement their will be a amount charged which is contrary to what was promised and while you call their agent the only answer you get is company decided to revise the policies as per their convenience.
So I strongly do not recommend Dubai First card.

This is the worst bank in UAE, i have never received my card nor activated it yet i had to pay for annual charge and when i finally settled plus another month of late payment fee! i called and asked to close the customer service told me i have 3dhs remaining to settle 😳 this bank is the most greedy and biggest scam. settle any cards with then or they will keep eating your money

Worst credit card ever, sales representative is not clear, he said no hidden charges but then they keep took money every month without any confirmation from my side, customer service always saying this is the system, they didn’t solve any issue , tried to close the card they keep manipulating and said it takes 5 working days, after 5 working days someone else said 10 working days, this is the worst bank and worst customer support.

The best cashback card in UAE, without a doubt followed by great customer service
The app is also very convenient to use and there are no hidden charges and the annual fee is mentioned up front very clearly with an unlimited cashback value.

Sales executive convince you to take the card claiming that it is with out any annual charges , later card gets upgraded with out your consent ,you are forced pay annual fee of 419 Dhs for upgrade even if you don't activate the card and wish to cancel it , which means you are imposed to pay and continue with the bank .
Customer service executive was very helpful in conveying to pay the charges and to cancel the card if you wish to , also to explain the bank policy and very supportive to inform that response will be the same even if this is escalated to higher officials in the bank, message is clear pay the charges and choose to use or cancel it !!
with the experience so far, for those who are looking for a credit card , please don't get into this trap, given that there are much better products from other banks with excellent service.
