I have dealt with some bad car dealerships over the years but Western Toyota is by far the worst.

This is a company which does not have a complaints procedure but has a Franchise Director who has "full autonomy to resolve each complaint". It is also a company which acknowledges in writing that it is "hugely disappointed in [my] customer experience and would like to apologise for [their] inability to resolve [my] initial complaint" but then does absolutely nothing to resolve the issue and closes down all correspondence on my complaint.

It is unfortunately that I am now having to progress matters by separate actions against the company. Western Toyota certainly wont be getting any of my business in the Future.

I went to Mercedes Benz Newbridge with my Mercedes C Class because I saw an oil leak under the car at the gearbox, having a Full warranty from Mercedes Benz I called the warranty team to personally check if the warranty covers the costs to fix this problem and they told me that they cover as well the cost of removing the gearbox and engine if necessary to fix this problem. The biggest surprise is that the service instead of solving the problem with the oil leak they ask me to pay £350 to service the gearbox and then they will recheck to see if I still have an oil leak, in place to fix the problem and make a warranty claim to cover the costs of the work, but they prefer to pay the customer directly because in this way they can extra charge without any explanation, while they can't do that with the warranty.

I wrote asking for the price of a B service kit for my C Class Mercedes and gave its registration number. I got a link to the service kit for an E class W213 (Genuine Mercedes parts E Class service kit E200 E220 w213 OM654 DIESEL engine oil and filter) whereas my car is a W205! I asked why I was directed to parts for an E Class when I am driving a C Class. The response was disgraceful. God help anyone buying a Mercedes from this dealership. The nonchalant attitude is a disgrace.

Last year July 2017 my car KV17CGG underwent a scheduled major service and MOT at Barnett’s St Andrews. When I arrived to collect my car, I was made aware that the service department indicated that there was an oil leak between the engine and gearbox. This alleged leak was highlighted on the accompanying video and my new MOT certificate.
Upon returning home I studied the video with particular focus on the deposit on the engine, gearbox flange, did not appear to bare any resemblance to engine oil. I initially asked my son, a mechanical engineering supervisor for his opinion. He advised that I get a second opinion.
I was fortunate to have an experienced ex VW mechanic carry out an inspection of the said area. His comment on the initial inspection was. It looks like you have been through some water and picked something up.
The area in question was cleaned up. Over the next four months and 4000 miles I was asked to return for further inspections at regular intervals. I now have photographic evidence that was taken after each inspection which clearly shows that there is no evidence of a leak between the engine – gearbox.
I have been a loyal customer to Volkswagen with Lex, Glenvarigill and Barnett for the past 29 years. However my efforts to prove that the alleged leak did not exist have saved me a potential £873 repair bill.
Following the subsequent inspection I presented the photographic evidence to the Aftersales Service Manager to show that the alleged leak does not exist. I am not a mechanic but I fail to understand that a seal on a high revolving component between the engine and gearbox could seal its self-up and stop leaking, yet he still maintained a leak exists!!
My overall experience since collecting my car July 2021 has left me with a potential devaluation of my vehicle with the alleged oil leak being highlighted on my MOT certificate. Needless to say this experience has left me with a lack of confidence in any of my future servicing requirement being undertaken at Barnett’s St. Andrews.
My car has recently undergone its annual service and MOT, no defects or advisories being recorded.

Dreadful service from start to finish. They had us wait 6 months for our new car and then backed out of the deal when the car arrived.

We bought a nearly new car from Mercedes Benz of Edinburgh last month and the entire experience was excellent. We have been stung a couple of times in the recent past by car dealerships and have become wary when dealing with them. We were dealt with from start to finish by Graham who took all time required to ensure we had the deal that suited us. There was no hard sell and it was obvious that he had a full understanding of the brand and all steps to make the buying process easier for the customer. Graham took on tasks which I would normally expect to have to carry out such as dealing with settlement figures, changing of private number plates, etc, in fact I felt as if I literally sat back and everything was done around me. After sales service continued to be first class and any contact I made was responded to and dealt with promptly unlike most other garages I have used whereby once the money has changed hands, any service stops. In fact Graham actually reminded me of a offer he had made at the start of the process which I had forgotten about and which if I had did on my own would have cost me more expense. Graham took care of it at no cost to me. Overall I would not hesitate in using this dealership again.

Have just bought a nearly new Yaris Hybrid from Western Toyota, Stirling and absolutely love the car. Would highly recommend all the team at the dealership, and Tony Morrison especially, for his excellent service, professionalism, courtesy, time and assistance throughout the purchase, and for working with me to give me the best part exchange deal. Looking forward to many years of happy motoring. Thank you all and for finding me my dream car.

I recently bought my new Mercedes’ from Mercedes Edinburgh, Newbridge. I cannot fault a single thing. From viewing my car to picking it up everything was 100%. A big shout out to Graham Howitt for his amazing customer service and professionalism. Loved the no pressure sales talk, answered all my questions and kept me updated in every aspect of the sale. I would definitely recommend Graham.

Bought a Vw Touareg from there so said premium used Lexus branch in Newbridge Edinburgh for £23k .
After the first wash scratches appeared all over the bodywork which was obviously hidden by a very good valeter .
A small clip was missing from rear seats and salesman agreed it would be ordered and sent to me, a year later and numerous emails still no clip.
THERE ARE ALOT OF GENUINE CAR DEALERS OUT THERE BUT I AM AFRAID LEXUS NEWBRIDGE IS NOT ONE OF THEM....... BE AWARE !!!!!!

Bought New VW TIGUAN 2.0TDI thru Motability last June and it came with a litre of oil, not sure why at the time but since found out, after 4800miles it had used the litre and has just went on to use more. (its now not registering on the dipstick)
As its no oil now, I emailed the sales man Craig to see if I could pick some up as was not keen to drive it with no oil and was given the nothing to do with me attitude, phone service. Okay no problem, so I phoned Service and was greeted by what could only be described as a motor mouth, Not only did she speak incredibly fast but wouldn't stop to allow me to speak, unbelievably rude just kept talking over me even when I asked her to stop talking for a minute many times. It was that bad the only way to stop her talking was to regretfully hang the phone up. That lady deserves a TALKING to now, by her boss. Dam ill need to buy oil now. 🙈😂😂

Worked with Toyota Dunfermline - specifically their Hilux specialist Brian M, who honestly I can't speak more highly of. I was made to feel like a customer, interested in my requirements vs just selling me anything.

Brian know's his stuff about the Hilux to the point I actually put a deposit down to order a Hilux.

There is no pressure sales and there is fantastic follow up. I had been working with other dealerships and its a "take it or leave it attitude" - however Brian takes the time to go and find out all the queries I had and come back promptly, allowing me to make a decision .

I went to the Volkswagen garage down in the Newbridge to look for my first car and I can honestly say, the support and care I was given was excellent.
Anyone looking to purchase a car and you don't know where to start looking, I would highly recommend getting in touch with them.

Mercedes Benz Newbridge are the worst dealership I have come across for repair’s . Took my car in for repair with a break problem. And came back with damage driveshaft seal and some other parts not put back on . Long story short not very help service manager. And very unhelpful staff.

Ordered a new Toyota Hilux in June 2021 and was advised it would be delivered Early January 2022 or maybe sooner . Received a call to say the delivery has been put back to April 2022 so accepted that then received a call 2 months later that the Hilux wouldn't be available until August 2022 .This is the first time i have ever waited 14 months to get a standard Toyota Hilux but never again will i deal with Eastern Toyota or in fact Toyota
