If I could this business no stars I would. Purchased a refurbished iPhone through Kogan and it’s been nothing but a nightmare. First of all the phone arrived saying the screen was not authentic and now not even a year later my phone is literally coming apart whatever glue/adhesive they used to attached the screen to the phone is coming off. I can see the inside of my phone. Worst company and worst quality
BE CAREFUL PURCHASING FROM DICK SMITH
I purchased a refurbished iPhone 11 Pro Max from the Dick Smith (unaware it was from a third party company called Eclipse BT Technology) and the phone arrived a few days later. Upon arrival I discovered a small crack on the back glass, and after a day of almost no usage, the crack grew significantly because of the bad quality glass put on. The microphone was also terribly muffled. After an difficult ordeal I sent the phone back and requested a replacement. 4 WEEKS LATER found out the package was MISSING because they got the address wrong.
Having immense difficulties trying to get a refund and Dick Smith is trying not to take responsibility as it was purchased through a “third party seller” even though it was PURCHASED ON THE DICK SMITH WEBSITE. There was only a small font link about Eclipse Technology which is impossible to notice.
Very disappointed in Dick Smith. BE CAREFUL!

If I could give zero stars I would. Purchased a Microsoft Surface Laptop from Eclipse Technology Kogan Marketplace. Paid $1700 and it never worked from the day I purchased it. I contacted them, they told me take videos of the screen and mouse not working. Emailed them 3 videos. Told to return the laptop to which I had to pay the postage. I’ve been dealing with the same lady Monica who is the worst customer service representative I have ever had to deal with. Two weeks later I get an email telling me the screen was cracked and that’s why it wouldn’t work. The screen was absolutely not cracked. It was even packaged better been sent back to them than the way I received it. As the cracked screen is not covered under warranty I had to pay for the repairs myself. Now to top it all off I received an email from Monica tonight saying that the part to fix the laptop is too hard to find so wait for it.. they can’t fix the laptop and I have to pay for them to return it to me. This is an absolute joke. Can you believe it. Never mind the fact the videos I had sent to them never had a cracked screen. But according to them i mailed it broken and thats why it wont work. After all the forums and reviews ive read about this company why the heck are they still allowed to trade. if anyone has any advice id greatly appreciate it.

I bought a Samsung S20+ through dicksmiths.co.nz and it turns out this is the poor company that was the third party seller of the phone. The first phone they sent had a missing simcard tray and faulty speaker even though it was advertised as 'Excellent' condition. Two months to resolve and numerous emails to get them to cover the shipping. Just simply a substandard company. DO NOT buy from Dick Smiths, Eclipse BT Technology or Becextech whatever you do. The money you could save is not worth the hassle.

I bought a phone it died in two days. They refused over and over to give a refund. I had to buy a new phone that day because I cant work without one. They made me send my faulty phone back at my own expense. It took months to get it back. It has just been sitting in the box as I had to buy the other phone. Today i needed it and it wont work at all. Disgusting company. Disgusting customer service. They told me it was my fault for buying another phone why did I not ask for a replacement while mine was being fixed? Very rude employees. Do not use this company and now they are claiming they dont work with kogan or Dick Smith ...liars

Literally awful. Barely any communication and it took my order a month to arrive. They blamed the month delay on Australia post, which is just completely false, because I have had other products shipped from the exact same city that I order after the phone that came in a matter of days...

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SCAM COMPANY. Absolutely terrible company. I purchased a BLACK Samsung Galaxy Fold 2. They sent me a BROZE one with dents already on the product. I thought ok, its an ex demo. But a couple months later it stopped opening fully. When I sent it back for repairs they claimed it was my fault and refused to repair it, and then held my phone hostage telling me I owed them money for the consultation. Their warranty claims Peace Of Mind repairs. This is absolutely false. I have contacted the ACCC about false advertising and false warranty claims.

Have sent my phone back 4th of Feb after speakers being fuzzy from day one. The screen then went completely green not long after. Still no refund. Will never buy through this company again. Now need to go through fair trading as they’re claiming easy fix. I just want a refund!

This is the WORST company to purchase from absolutely dodgy from the get go, over a month still have no issued me a refund. Item was returned to seller and tracking shows it is waiting collection from the seller who is too lazy to get up and grab it, it’s been over a month since I purchased the phone. i ordered a iphone x and received it a week later, putting it on charge I realsied that the phone does not even charge past 27%. would recommend not using dick smith to order any electronics as they use this third party source to get cheap phones and sell them for a ridiculous price saying that they are refurbished when they are clearly bs and cheap crap
Seventeen days to fix the problem.
There was a fault on our business line which took three engineer visits to repair. While this was an Openreach failure it was exacerbated by Eclipse staff not returning calls as promised causing further delays. Our broadband connection dropped out 181 times in two days. It took 17 days and 17 telephone calls before the issue was sorted. Eclipse offered £39.78 compensation which is just insulting.
A massive thank you to Eclipse.
My internet went down and David managed to ID the problem from their end by "talking" to the equipment. It turned out to be a fault at the exchange and so Open Reach had to be called by Eclipse. David stayed available to help resolve the issue. Up and running with the internet but my phone would not connect...a call to David and all was sorted in less than 10 mins. I have been with Eclipse for years and will never change. They are honest, professional and make life easier by being understanding and explaining every step of the way in a non-tech language, so the consumer fully understands. A massive Thank You to all but in particular, David from Eclipse Technical Support.

I have been with eclipse for just under…18 years
I have been with eclipse for just under 18 years and decided to go fully with them including broadband and email + telephone and landline. I had trouble trying to connect up after connecting the router etc so decided to contact their service guys and connected with David. It took about 1 and half hours to sort out the correct wiring which David did in a first class way. At my age I found it rather difficult to connect it all correctly after explaining to my saviour he suggested that I completely disconnect and start again under his guidance which I did and low and behold he got me up and working. Thank you David for your much needed help I will not forget what you did for me today you are a star mate.

Ordered a Samsung S20, took 3 weeks, slight adhesive issue
Ordered a Samsung S20 that was refurbished through Kogan. Took 3 weeks for it to finally arrived. Emailed them multiple times throughout the waiting period. Just told me to wait, which i guess is the only thing i can do at that point. Once the phone arrived, the back panel of phone was slightly off as the adhesive is coming off. This would be the first and last time i will be buying from Eclipse.
Please stay away from them, if you want to save your money and time.

I order a galaxy S20 FE phone 14 days ago and I am still waiting for delivery. I could have find a number to call for support. There is an email but the respomses are not very helpful and they keep telling me too wait for my package. I will be contacting my bank to get a refund. They are suppliers of Dicksmith which is sad because Dicksmith did have a good reputation. I will never order through Dicksmith again.
