I loved ECS tuning, never had any issues until I had one issue, now I see how terrible this company is.
I bought a cts turbo inlet for the n55. It has a different part number on it, than the mfg number, but I assumed it was nothing, although I didn’t see this anywhere else. I go to install it, and it does not fit. After struggling for 6 hours to install this, I decided to go back to my stock inlet. My stock inlet took legit 1 minute to install. This inlet portion is not angled at the correct angle, and is too thick. This causes it to push downwards, and it’s impossible for it to fit onto the turbo.
I submitted a return, and 2 weeks after it was approved, it was denied. The reason was “see email”, except I did not receive any email. I contacted customer service, and never received a response from email. The next day I reached out to the chat, and spoke to Kyle B. When trying to understand why my return was denied after already being approved, and what I can do to make sure this doesn’t happen in the future. Kyle tells me it’s impossible for ECS tuning to ship a defective item, and then tells me things that contradict what defective even means, He says that I’ll have to take pictures of it on the vehicle not fitting. I was a bit confused as the turbo is under the Engine and hidden, so when I ask for clarification he essentially tells me “I don’t know, it’s your item not mine” he then proceeds to tell me word for word “You will not be permitted to do business with us in the future.”. Appalling customer service from Kyle B, not answering concerns, and then telling me I’m no longer allowed to be a customer after spending thousands of dollars here, over a $160 item. It’s actually laughable. Had to dispute this with my credit card as these are legit fraudulent concerns occurring on ECS and their customer service obviously has not been trained properly.

This is a ridiculous company. I ordered a couple of headlight bezels through their online ordering system. I paid for the bezels with my credit card. The next day I received an email telling me:
"Thank you for your recent order. Due to the value and limited order history we are going to request an alternate payment method. We can accept PayPal (Easiest) or a bank-to-bank wire transfer. With PayPal, we can send you a new link to complete the payment without remaking the order."
I've never seen anything like this. The credit card was not rejected (I've been using this account for over 20 years). Their only reason was that I had never ordered anything from them. I cancelled my order.
Don't waste your time. There are plenty of auto part vendors out there that appreciate your business.

On two separate orders, two incorrect parts were shipped to me that didn’t fit into my car. In attempting to find accountability for the situation, I got confirmation that ECS gave me the wrong parts, but did not receive fair compensation. They didn’t even refund the incorrect part and I spent a day on the phone with them for them to not refund the full cost of the error. Avoid.
Despite saying that they refunded me, they did not refund the part or let me return it. They only refunded a portion of the cost it took to take both incorrect parts out of my car.

When you too can get blacklisted for filing a charge back because of not receiving your purchase and unable to talk to customer service.
Update,
1. I tried chat, it would send me customer service, never answered.
2. I tried calling for 2 weeks straight at different times, sent to VM every time.
3. If you want to send order, I'd be more than thrilled to reverse charge back. 2 gallons of antifreeze
And yes, I am aware CS called ONCE. I was in my car, they hung up before I could answer

I paid for express shipping and they shipped it 4days later so it showed up the same time the no rush free shipping would have. Then they sent me the wrong O-ring for my waterpump so I had to lose wages fixing a coolant leak. Oh yeah... They also sent me a coupon after I opted into texting and they refused to honor it at checkout saying it expired. When I called the hotline it was a black hole. My advice? Don't walk...Run far away from ECS Tuning

They ship with FedEx, which from my experience has been completely unreliable for the past few years. FedEx missed the delivery date for Saturday, tracking information points to a new delivery date (today) but you can see there is no way it will be delivered today. This prompted me to contact support, and this feedback.
To my detailed complaint about missed delivery Saturday, and again today… all I got is a response from a ‘Mariah’ that said nothing about my email or concern, simply hate me the tracking status and an email to track it on fedex’s website. Further emails went ignored, and as expected it did not get delivered again today. Their inability to address my concern or even acknowledge my email reflects badly on this business and their customer support after sales. At a minimum they should acknowledge my concern and offer to either return the package or refund me for shipping cost.

I would of given 5 stars but there was a pretty big mess up which led to a $250+ over charge. If I wasn't diligent with my credit card expenses it would of been my problem. Called ECS, they quickly noticed the error and refunded me, also a mess up with delivery that was quickly sorted out. I don't think these mistakes were intentional and service dept reps are a pleasure to deal with, great prices, excellent products but double check your orders and credit card statements.

I purchased this rear diffuser expecting a quality product, but after a few months of normal use, the section above the exhaust tip warped significantly. There was no external damage to my vehicle, no exposure to extreme conditions-just a clear material defect.
When I contacted ECS Tuning, they insensitively tried to blame the issue on the Southern California wildfires without even knowing where I live in relation to them.
Fires are life-threatening disasters that have destroyed homes and communities, yet ECS attempted to use them as a scapegoat to avoid standing behind their product. Once I proved that wasn't the case, they still refused to replace the diffuser under warranty and instead only offered a discounted replacement. If they truly believed the damage was my fault, they wouldn't have offered a discount at all.
Not only is this terrible customer service, but it's also incredibly tone-deaf and exploitative to blame a natural disaster just to avoid responsibility. A company that stands behind its products should take ownership of defects-not make excuses. l wouldn't recommend this diffuser or ECS Tuning's customer service.

First review was a bit poor.
A rep named Vincent came to bat and was extremely helpfull. Tried what he could to resolve some issues with incorrect parts and possibly some work arounds.
Unfortunately we had to return them. All and all , at the end of the day I was very satisfied with the end result. Customer service was very good.

I ordered the wrong part. I called customer service for help. They not only process the refund (no question asked), helped to reduce the return shipping cost from $160 (quote I got from Fedex) to $2.50 (using ECS' shipping service), but they also shipped the correct part shipping-free. I will always buy parts from them moving forward.

I have spent around $1500 with ECS in the last 3 months or so. Not impressed. Delivery being very slow, even when paying for express delivery.
I have a 2012 Mini Cooper s by the way.
A part I bought in early December failed; I requested a refund. It was denied; they clearly have no idea how the PCV system functions on a Mini. How it is diagnosed. Obviously find any lame excuse to not honor their responsibility.
I have spent my last dollar with ECS, not reliable.

Basically this involved a very simple order from Canada. The item arrived within a week and it was 100% good. Some might say I'm crazy to order a $1.99 lightbulb and pay $15.00 for shipping, so I ordered two. In Canadian dollars that cost over $30.00, but I was desperate for the bulb, so I can't complain about the cost.
