Update ECS may say they're working with me but they aren't. All they said was I should try to mount the pipes higher. I already had sent them pictures of the pipes as high as they can be positioned, exactly matching the pictures on their website.
I said that in a reply back to their customer service email but haven't heard back from them yet. They did take the time to write back to this review however.

The exhaust pipes don't fit right on the E9x that they are sold as a direct fit for. They sit much too low below the car. This is with the pipes installed as high as they would fit, matching the installation pictures on the ECS website. I had to have the floorpan stress brace cut and modified for the pipes to clear. Behind the differential the pipes are too low to allow for a muffler to be put in place because the rear S bend is too low below the floor pan already.

Brilliant service fast delivery

I have ordered many parts from ECS Tuning and I trust and appreciate them. One time I was trying to modify an order and so I ended up calling them. One of the representatives was very helpful with explaining the different options for Haldex Sevice Kits. OEM compared to other brands of fluid and so forth. Towards the end of the phone call, I asked him if I could get a free ECS Tuning license plate frame and he added it to the order.

That same order ended up arriving to my house with 60 magnetic drain plugs and a couple items missing. Shortly after receiving the order, someone from their customer service department reached out to me and notified me of the mistake. After sending a picture of the items that I did receive, they sent me a shipping label to send back the drain plugs and then shipped me the rest of the parts that were missing from my order. I got the rest of my order overnight! It was so quick I received it before I had a chance to drop off the drain plugs at Fedex to send back to them!

So they fixed their mistake promptly. Which I appreciate but I have two complaints. The first one is when calling their customer service number, there are different prompts that will forward you to different departments. And I have found on more than one occasion on different days and times, that there sales department is easier/quicker to get a hold of someone then the order-issues/returns department. Like, way quicker. Almost as if they care more about selling you parts than resolving order issues or processing returns…if you get what I mean.

The other complaint I have is that I ordered two turbo inlet pipes within a hour of each other one day. I had picked the wrong brand for the first order. I immediately called in to cancel the first one I ordered but the representative informed me that the order had already been sent off to the shipping department and that it was too late. I would have to do a return/refund once it shipped to my house. Which I did, and it turns out, any returns you do with them, you have to pay for the return shipping cost. So when you order something make sure you order the right item!

I had difficulty with the wrong parts sent 2 times and was very frustrated. After receiving the 2nd incorrect part I spoke Nick L. He worked with the team to understand and fix the issue. 3 days later I received the correct part and finished the project. Great job!

I didn't know it was possible to be this bad. I've had multiple orders with ECS now and all they do is waste your time, give you a false guarantee, and then leave you on hold forever. Couldn't even ship out a product on time despite me paying a massive amount extra for it. I've had to call about 5 times for every one issue I have and have to sit forever on hold. They're the last place I'll ever look and even then it's reluctantly. Save you time and money and go somewhere else.

I have ordered from ECS Tuning for at least 4years, or more. I can’t understand why anyone would leave a bad review. I can’t believe how quick the shipment arrives. I phone and the sales rep takes my order and always so nice. My husband and I will only order our oil changing kits from this company. Read each review and notice someone always answers with an apology. Some customers aren’t happy regardless. Come on, be fair when leaving a review. Phone and tell your issue to a live person. Your issue will be resolved without telling the world you are upset. I highly recommend this company. Thanks for shipping my oil kit so fast.

Always excellent service…

been ordering for a while now and they always get me what i need and give me good customer service, other then the fact that canadian customs always hold there parcels for over a week depending on the product (which isn’t there fault) ecs is a highly trusted and reliable source for oem parts!

Had a lifetime warranty window regulator that crapped out. A new part was sent quickly. Haven’t ever had any issues with this company. A+

Buyer beware of scams!!! Purchased middle priced fan clutch for $189.00, # 11521260459 (Hamburg Technic) supposedly made in Germany...
Instead, I received a completely unmarked part, in a generic box with a generic label, which appears to be the URO brand (made in China) listed for 85.99 in their website and being sold from Amazom.com for $90.96...
I reached out to a couple different salespeople and got the usual run around... I asked to speak to someone higher up to discuss the issue and never got a reply...
When you ask specific questions and get no answers or proof, everything points to being misled and no one is doing anything about it... Even if this part was mis picked, since parts ship from different warehouses, the issue was ignored rather than being corrected...
So instead of getting what I asked and paid for (more than double my money) in the first place, I got the made in China special…
Somebody needs to do the right thing here!
There is no confusion of any kind. The seller is unable to provide proof that I received a Hamburg Technic part made in Germany...

They let me add things to my order last minute and I incurred no shipping charges. Their chatbots are real people. Their parts fit unlike some parts from other vendors. The only problem is I had some screws that were recommended in error but I bet they make that right too.

Received a broken side tail light called them up gentleman. I spoke to promised to send a replacement out and also give me $50 store credit after a week of waiting no emails or tracking numbers or any type of communication. Decide to call them up a whole entire day spending back-and-forth on the phone and holding to be told nope your shit out of luck Garbage company all I want is a new tail light but they have there heads so far up there ass I’m going to have to go the legal route

Have been using them for years and it seems now they focus a lot on making sales but totally lacks customer support. Ordered a complete set of EBC brake pad, EBC all black brake discs and some other accessories on Aug 23rd, took them 2 months fulfill everything on the order, hiccups on warehouse not having the parts that are suppose to be in stock and constantly delaying the rear brake discs. I am not in a lot of hurry for the parts and I am cool to wait. Finally the rear brake discs arrived, only to find out that it is coated in silver instead of all black pictured on their online store. Reached out to them since Oct 23rd and not a word from them ever since. Now I am stuck with black front brake disc and rear silver and with big open spoke wheels, will be very obvious to see the disc hub on the front is black and the rear ones are silver and this is not what I wanted and definitely not what I ordered. Having seeing a lot of one stars review recently makes me wonder what’s going on with them. Anyways, there are other reliable sources who respond to emails in a day and offer excellent pre and post sales customer service, ECS was great to deal with and I guess they don’t need my business anymore and will gladly steer away from ECS from now on.

I still this day have not received the belt I ordered they keep sending me emails that they waiting for whoever to send it to them I guess it’s a supplier they said the 14th of October never got it I will not buy anything from this place again

None of the leds lights fitted the vw model as recommended, waste of money and thrown in the bin, clearly no one checks the products they send from their shoo

If I can put 0 review that’s what they would have got. I places an order for a part the part came broken I notified them they replace it came broken again did it again and came broken again (3 times ) even send them a video opening the package and instead of making it up for wasting my time they want me go out of my way to send the part back so they can give me my refund smh 3 times. They are a joke cheap messed up parts
